Welcome to our online "Genetic Opportunity" sale. It has been a great year for our operation and we thank everyone who has put trust in our genetics. One of the greatest parts of this business are the many friends we've made along the way.

We take great pride in producing cattle that breed it forward and generate success for others. The foundation of our cowherd is built around real world principles and results you can measure. Angus cattle are our livelihood, and our approach to quality is steadfast. It's rewarding to see how our genetics have positively impacted herds around the country and abroad.

NOVEMBER 23, 2021 Terms & Conditions: Live cattle sell under terms & conditions of the American Angus Association. Sale day announcements take legal precedence over printed material in this book. Once payment is received embryos will be released and cattle can be picked up.

Delivery: We can help in arranging delivery of recip cows and heifer calves.

Buyer is responsible for delivery cost.

Embryos: We guarantee 1 out of 3 or 1 out of 4 embryo pregnancy rate. If no pregnancies are achieved buyer will be given 1 or 2 replacement embryos. -Enid Elva LL was the first herdsire to walk at Musgrave Angus in 1964.

He is the sire of our foundation female, Lady Barbara 33 LL. Though this picture is vague, you can see his breed character passing through to the Lady Barbara family.

The Lady Barbara's are largely responsible for our success in the Angus business.

-A record crowd was in attendance for our 2018 sale. It was a landmark year for our new sale facility after the tragic fire of the previous sale barn just two months earlier. Musgrave 316 Colossal 137 was the second bull to set foot in the ring that day and was claimed the top seller at $68,000 to one of the premier Angus firms in North America, Peak Dot Angus & Semex.

Stunner on sale day!

-Ian and Stunner at Genex Hawkeye West, MT, 2017

-With a large crowd gathered, breeders from across the land came to our 2017 sale with great anticipation for the chance to own, Musgrave 316 Stunner. This legendary sire was produced from the prolific Musgrave Blackbird cow family. In 1991 Tyler purchased Tessa Blackbird 1405 from fellow Illinois Angus breeder Bud Hobbs, Stunner's 6th generation dam.

She was bred to VDAR New Trend 315 and had a heifer calf the following spring. Today, six generations of dams in his pedigree hold a collective NR of 46@103 while Stunner himself records 208 daughters with a NR of 102.

Furthermore, he records 4370 head with a birth ratio of 99, 3997 head with a weaning ratio of 101 and 2054 head with a yearling ratio of 101. This family is a staple for udder quality, hoof shape and structure, as well as fertility. They are the herd building kind!

Prim Lassie family

Musgrave 316 Exclusive -Exclusive was the first son of LD Capitalist 316 to sell at public auction as a $20,000 highlight in our 2016 production sale. He was a standout of the 2015 calf crop and earned a 205 day ratio of 108 & a 365 day ratio of 114 giving him elite herd sire credentials. We then saw him on a herd visit as a 3yr old, his power and phenotype motivated us to bring him back to the herd.

Upon return we genomics tested him, then it was off to the races! Today he ranks as the most influential son of the legendary sire LD Capitalist 316 and is blazing a trail in the Angus breed that won't be forgotten. His first daughters in production possess superior udder quality and stand on an ideal hoof with great fleshing ability. She came to our herd, joined the ET program and now has sons working at Thompson Angus, ND, & Keith Russell, CO. The sale method

-Each fall we offer a group of heifers for sale private treaty. With increased interest, we felt the fairest way to sell them is through this auction. We are offering them in groups of five and the buyer can choose any combination. As sale day gets closer check our website musgraveangus.com or our facebook page for a detailed listing of which heifers belong to each group. Group sizes may change, the final listing will be posted 5 days prior to the sale.

About the heifers -They were weaned October 26th, straight off the range with no creep feed. These heifers are registered, Angus GS tested, calf hood vaccinated and current on all vaccinations. They carry the Musgrave name and represent a cross section of our time tested cow families & herd sires. They will be ready for immediate pick up or we can help arrange delivery if need be. You're welcome to view the group anytime prior to the sale.
