Hello Key-Uties! This long semester has finally come to an end and now we anxiously wait for the school year to end. The hard work you all have put in during this semester doesn’t go unnoticed, I see you! December was filled with fundraisers and service projects/ events that lifted the holiday spirit this year. As you participated in those events, I hope you all were able to meet new people and experience new activities. The Magnet open house that occurred toward the beginning of December, I believe allowed us to expand our club and gain new memberships, so thank you all for coming out to recruit new members! I wish you all a safe and fun break. Make sure to get some rest, but also keep yourself active and helpful!

Reaching for Service All Around,

Hello bee-uties! This semester went by incredibly fast, I cannot believe we're almost done with the first semester. This month we held a Hot Cocoa Fundraiser. We worked along with FCCLA. It was a successful fundraiser and I was very excited to see everyone supporting our club. I wanted to thank everyone who came and supported us! I can't believe it's already the end of the year, good luck to everyone in this finals season. Enjoy your winter break, you deserve it.

Happy Holidays Key Clubbers!

It's my favorite time of year even though we are finally finishing up the semester. While wrapping up the year, I hope you all enjoy sipping hot cocoa from our fundraiser and presenting ourselves at the magnet open house! This club has brought me joy this year and here's to another joyful year. Other than that, you deserve to enjoy your long awaited winter break and I hope you all stay safe!

Hey Key-uties! Great work finishing this semester. I am so proud of every single one of you for how much work you have done to keep up with all your classes and giving back to our community. I enjoyed getting to see all of our club members participate in the service projects this month and thank you to all of those who came to help in our fundraising events. We could not have done any of it without y’all and I am so glad to be part of such an amazing club! I wish you and all of your families and friends the safest of breaks and I hope to see you all again in the next term!!

Serving for hope and love around the world,

Vicente Chavez

Hot Cocoa Fundraiser, December 1-10 Starting from the end of November, our club collaborated with FCCLA to fundraise money to support future projects for both clubs. We got to sell hot cocoa early in the morning as students were coming into school from the chilly weather outside. One regular cup cost $1 while a cup with marshmallows and a candy cane cost $2. This fundraiser also let members of either Key Club or FCCLA earn community service by doing tasks to help out during these early mornings. Some include setting up the kettles and supplies, heating up the water, making the hot cocoa, adding marshmallows with and a candy cane, taking people's orders, and of course handing out the hot cocoa. We would say this was a success as it brought more joy to people's mornings with a warm beverage in the morning and overall the experience it brought for everyone that participated in this fundraiser.
