Hello Key-Utiess! February was such a wonderful month! I hope you all are taking some time to take care of yourselves since its easy to get caught up in ones work and forget about ourselves. By taking some time to learn about Black History Month during our general meeting this month, I hope you all have learned something new. The history of black people and the adversities they have faced is critical to learn since it'll allow us to understand why certain issues are the way they are today and it'll allow us to remember the people who built this country. Selling roses with FCCLA and doing candy grams with J4NG for valentines season has helped our club become more known around our school and helped us raise some funds. This will hopefully encourage prospective members to join. Sadly, my time as your president is coming to an end as our term is almost over. Although, I’m proud of all of the work weve done this term and I’m also proud all of you that have stepped out of your comfort zones to run for an officer position. I wish you all the best and I’m quite certain that the position you get will be well deserved. Good luck to all the candidates and keep pushing as this semester is almost coming to an end!

Reaching for Service All Around,

Nuhamine Moges Hello bee-uties! Hope everyone enjoyed Valentine's day!!! This month, we worked on our last fundraiser of the year. We partnered with another club at rancho named J4NG. They work towards helping high school students to find jobs and through the process of applying for many different internships and opportunities. We had the idea to sell candy grams for valentines day. The sale was a success. We had planned to sell 200 candy grams and have them delivered, and we sold every single bag of candy. The profits and workload was divided between the clubs equally. I’m very happy that we finished off the year strong with our last fundraiser :).

Hey Key-utie Pies! Love is in the air and so is community service! This month we have some lovely opportunities for you all to participate in which will spread the fondness for each other throughout the school. First, we have collaborated with FCCLA again and this time we are selling wooden roses which helps fund both of the clubs. Then, we collaborated with J4NG in our school to sell candy grams during lunch which is also a way you can earn service hours. Other than that, I am so proud so be serving as you Historian for this term as we are now electing new officers sooner or later. For those running for an officer position, I believe in you and I appreciate you all stepping up into these leadership positions. It‘s not my time to let you guys go yet but I just wanted to let you all know! For now, look for more events outside of key club as these fundraisers will be the last ones for the term and we will all be busy electing your new officers for next term. Additionally, this month can seem a bit busy but keep pushing through as school will be ending in about 2 months! Enough said, have a wonderful February and stay safe and healthy out there!

Melyka Tanyag

General Meeting, February 17 In this meeting, our president Nuhamine Moges presented a lot of important events coming up within this month along with important information for everyone. With this term coming to a close end, officer candidates are reminded about deadlines following their application packets and requirements they need to follow including an interview they have with with all of the officers. The officers running the meeting will either be graduating or not running for a position next year. It is also announced that there will be two fundraisers that key club will be hosting this month while we collaborate with other clubs. This is an opportunity for members to sign up for positions to help sell items in these fundraisers while earning volunteer hours. Additionally, it was said there will be a canned food drive happening next month along with a day to make posters to hang around the school. For the seniors, they are also reminded the requirements they need in order to get a cord and/or stole so they don’t lose track as we are near the end of the term. Overall, club members are caught up to date to what is happening within the club and what they should do to get involved.
