07/24 - Key Club 101

Hello Key Clubbezz! Summer is sadly coming to an end, but I hope you all have had an eventful and safe break thus far! Truthfully, there have not been many activities done in the month of June however, July has come bearing some great opportunities. Our E-board has planned some fun activities that will increase your knowledge about Key Club, allow you to meet new people, and even earn some hours! To be involved in these activities, you can check out our Instagram page and keep in touch. Hoping that this new school year will be all in person, we can get out there and help rebuild our community through service. I think something this pandemic has taught us is how valuable service is, and this year we will make sure to serve all the people we can, even if they are in different places around the world. I have to say I’m so proud of our E-board for working hard this summer to get comfortable with their positions and comfortable working alongside one another. I’m excited to finally get to see them all in person and even see you all as well! Please make sure to stay safe, bee an active member, and join our new remind: rhskc-2022.

Reaching for Service All Around,

Nuhamine Moges

Fellow key club member, I can’t believe summer is almost coming to an end! I hope you guys have been doing your best to enjoy what little we have left. Soon enough we’ll all get to meet each other and grow an amazing bond. I’m honestly so excited for not only that but to get to hear what everyone has been up to. Although not much may be going on currently, I’m sure that once school has started so many opportunities will start coming up. Also just thinking about what we will be doing to recruit freshmen and anyone who would like to, seems so exciting. We’ll get to share our excitement and love for our club with others! I hope you all are enjoying summer just like I am and wish each and every single one of you the best.

Serving Magically Alongside You,

Hey Key Club-eez! I hope you are all having a wonderful summer break. As we get closer to the beginning of the school year I want to remind you all to still keep in touch with Key Club and turn in your hours! I want to remind you that we are working towards making this term a good one and that we need all of our members in order to do so. Remember that service is not only something you do during the school year, so continue to serve the community around you this summer to make it better for not only yourself, but also others. Remember to check our instagram page for any new information or events being held. Prepare for the amazing year ahead of us and enjoy the rest of your July!

Hey bee-uties!

Good Day Key Clubbers!

Hey Key Clubbers!

Hope summer has treated you well and you all have enjoyed yourselves! However, as we approach the start of the new school year the board and I have planned great things for our club. I have sent emails and tried to contact many places to hold our first fundraiser, but I have yet to hear back from any. I'm trying my hardest to talk to more companies that would be willing to donate part of their profit in exchange for us promoting their products and services. So far I have only sent emails, but I will try and call some places to make the process go faster. Still, this fundraiser will take place at the beginning of the new school year. When everything is set in place I will let the board and Ms. Brownridge know, that way we can start promoting the fundraiser on the club's social media. Keep an eye out for all of the events we have going on these next couple of months on the club's social media. I'm excited to finally start this amazing term with each and all of you, stay safe and enjoy the rest of your summer!

Gosh, it's almost the start of the new school year! We'll actually be heading back to school soon and it's time to get yourselves ready for this next exciting adventure ahead of you. As things roll back into place, we are also getting ready to lead into amazing events and plans that will give everyone some service hours! This month, we have something to show everyone if they have the slightest interests in our club which includes fun activities to learn about this community and service hours while you're there. Our EBoard has some special dishes to serve to you as the year progresses and I can't wait for everyone to see what they are. Remember to stay hydrated and wear sunscreen (even after summer!) as we all get ready for back to school season. Enjoy the summer while it lasts and can't wait to see everyone in person!

I hope you are having a fantastic summer so far and I am so excited to see you all next year! I hope those of you who can have found ways to serve and give back to your community in some way this past month. Even though we are only at the beginning of our term, I am very excited for this school year and I hope to be able to make differences in all of our communities. On another note, this month I have made great improvements on my work and the articles and visuals have been turned in. The first time I turned in an articles and visuals I took too long writing it, and I was only able to give the other officers so much time to add to or make changes. This month I was able to finish it a few days in advance to give them more time to read over and analyze the events and photos I used. It was perfect because we had enough time to make the changes that needed to be made while also being able to turn everything in on time and in order. I am so proud of our E-Board for all they have been working on these last few weeks, and I am very excited for what we have in store later this summer! I hope everyone is healthy, and happy this summer and remember to always be safe-key!

June DCM, June 9 On June 9th of 2021, our division had our monthly DCM where we discussed a few topics and got to hear that this year's RTC theme will be revealed soon! This time we got to meet some of the other schools in our division and we also had many club advisors attend the meeting! I liked getting to see the other key club members and advisors from our division and next time we are going to advertise more in our club to have more members participate. A very important part of this meeting discussed how DLT positions were still open to applications and that announcements should be made later this month going over the officers in each position! Along with the news about DLT’s we also went over some old business and a new form was made for support with MRF’s. We were informed that each club is still able to turn in service hours but it has to be done individually and we were reminded of some of the things due this month including newsletter, MRF’s, and more. Overall, the meeting was good and helped us get an idea of what our future meetings will look like during the school year!

Officer Meeting, June 29 Towards the end of June on the 29th we had an officer meeting in which we discussed many of our plans for the month of July and August! We discussed old news at the beginning of our meeting such as the previous month's articles & visuals, newsletter, and our first service project. We went over how the teacher cards went well and we went on to talk about when our first general meeting will be when we return to school in August! We were also given the new remind which we will be using for our club this term and we are putting together a post to share on social media so returning members can get signed up! Once we finished reviewing our old business we moved into our upcoming service event we have planned for the summer as well as some new fundraising opportunities. We were informed that our president Nuhamine Moges and vice president Joseline Samaniego were working with the LTG and other clubs in our division to plan our Cards for Seniors service event. Along with the planning of the service event we discussed opportunities for fundraising such as partnering with local boba cafes and restaurants to fund our club's future events. After discussing our plans for the rest of the summer, we started to work on plans for recruitment during freshman orientation and through social media! We finished the meeting with a quick reminder of all the due dates set for this month and adjourned the meeting after sharing a google doc to brainstorm on ways to recruit as well as workshop ideas to present at our first meeting of the school year! Overall it was a very productive meeting and we are all very excited to get things started in our club!
