Hello Key-utiess! Summer has finally begun! I hope you all are having a fantastic and safe summer break so far. This school year has definitely put us through some unprecedented events, but we pushed through and have reached the finish line. Congratulations to all the seniors that have graduated! We will truly miss you and wish you the best for your next adventure. Our first service project of writing thank you messages to our amazing teachers and staff during the last week of school, I can say, was a success. There were over 70 heartfelt submissions from students that showed their appreciation, which if you were one of those participants, thank you and keep it up! During these past few weeks, I have been preparing and putting together an agenda for the 2021-2022 school year, which I am very ecstatic to share with you all. Now, as we start rolling into June and July, we will begin doing some fun activities, preparing ourselves to be leaders, obtaining some hours, and even possibly partnering with other clubs to do an event together. So, it’s safe to say this will be an eventful summer. Keep a lookout for some of these activities, but until then, have a safe summer break filled with excitement, joy, and relaxation!

Reaching for Service All Around,

Nuhamine Moges Fellow key club member, wherever this may reach you I hope you are having an amazing summer so far. I cannot wait to see about all the adventures you guys got to experience soon enough. I also hope that I will be able to find more interesting and helpful volunteer opportunities for you all to be able to participate in something. Even though we are only really at the beginning of summer I am really excited for the school year to begin again so I can finally get to meet each and every single one of you in person and to actually be able to make a conversation. If any of you are attending summer school I hope for nothing but the best for each one of you and I know you will surely get a great grade. If you are ever lacking motivation you can always just come to one of us and we will do our best to fix that and find what the most helpful motivation would be for you. Do not forget we are always here even if it has nothing to do with the club or school, we are always with open arms. Thank you for being a part of this amazing club, have a great and amazing summer cuties !

Serving Magically Alongside You,

Hey Key Club-eez!

Joseline Samaniego

I hope you are all having a wonderful summer break. As we dive into summer break, however, I want to remind you all to still keep in touch with Key Club and turn in your hours! We’ve got the MRF, so we want to make sure as many of you have hours in. I want you to know that we are working towards making this term a good one and that we need all of our members in order to do so. Remember that service is not only something you do during the school year, so continue to serve the community around you this summer to make it better for not only yourself, but also others. Remember to check our instagram page for any new information or events being held and enjoy the rest of your June!

Hey bee-uties! Hope summer has come to a great start for everyone. After this past year and struggles we have faced, enjoy the summer you all deserve it. Nevertheless, summer is a great time to keep in contact with other key clubbers and be more involved with your community. This summer I want to have a fundraiser to extraordinarily start our next term. So far I'm still in the planning process. I plan to work with a boba king, ask them to set a date where we promote boba to students and families and a percentage of the products go to our club funds. I have yet to talk with our executive board about the location and date, hoping to take place towards the end of July or beginning of August. After all of that is settled I will contact the manager and arrange an exact date and calculate how beneficial it would be for the club. But in the meantime take care of yourselves, and have a good time.

Serving for the World,

Nathalia Melendez Salutations Key Club Members! It's finally the season to enjoy the sun and relax! Keep a lookout for some really nice opportunities for service hours and more that we officers are planning for you guys. Meaning, stay in touch even if our club meetings are not active for the summer! I personally get the spectacular opportunity to make and design these newsletters to let every member know what is happening inside our club. I plan to have more content as we will continue to have a Club Leadership Team this year (which you should sign up for when school starts again!) and these amazing committees will plan a bunch of projects, scholarships, and more! I'm thrilled to see what you members can do to bring our club even closer. Remember to wear sunscreen, stay hydrated, and stay safe especially when the temperatures are high!

Serving to Bring Melodies Together,

Melyka Tanyag Hey Key Clubbers!

I am so excited to announce that summer is here, and with that comes some amazing opportunities for service. This time away from school gives a perfect opportunity to help out in our communities, and so far I have seen a lot of great ways to help. I personally have helped with our school's student council at a pet adoption event where I got 4 hours of service and there is so much more I plan to do to help around where I can. This summer we are also planning a service event with other clubs in our division to help make cards for elderly to brighten up their days! So far I have turned in this month's Articles and Visuals, and I plan to start working on the one for a month to get ahead and give more time for editing! Overall everything seems to be going extremely well and I want you to know that we are working our best to make this term one of the best ever. Have a wonderful summer break and I hope you all stay safe, healthy, and kind!

On April 23 of 2021 we said our final goodbyes to our seniors and our officers at our End of Term Banquet! Each officer made a speech and presented it to the club to say their farewell and thank us for our commitments this year. Some of our members unfortunately could not attend the banquet so in turn we made a montage of all the officers' speeches! This provided a chance for their messages to forever be remembered on our club's instagram so anyone can access and watch them at any time. The videos each officer made had great messages and truly inspired the club to continue to serve our community! The officers appreciated the post with their farewells and left us knowing that they made an impact. The video got a good amount of view when it was posted and will remain posted on our feed for future members to look back on and become inspired!

Our first service project for this year was planned during our school's teacher appreciation week. As a club we decided we wanted to give students and club members the opportunity to thank their teachers for everything! We worked with our sports and activities administrator to create a padlet where students and club members could post their thank you messages to teacher and staff members! This service project helped our school’s teachers and staff feel appreciated for everything they did during the pandemic and it gave our school a needed boost in spirit. We had around 80 total submissions from students and in the end all the kind messages were shared with all teachers and staff at Rancho! This project was a great way for seniors to say their final goodbyes and thank those who helped them grow throughout their highschool career!

On May 3 of 2021, our division had our monthly DCM where we discussed many topics including the open DLT position! We had a good turn out taking into consideration it was exam season and many were busy with studying and preparing for tests. We got to meet many other schools in our division and it was a great introduction to those serving us this term! I liked getting to see the other key club members from our division and hearing from other schools’ clubs. We also went over the goals and expectations for this term and it was an overall very insightful meeting. Hearing the division's goals helped our club a lot when it came to setting our personal goals and it inspired us to reach for more than what we did this last year during the pandemic. Generally, it was a good meeting and next months meeting should be exciting because we could find our new DLT for this term!
