Hello Key Clubbers! We are now two months into the school year and I have got to say I’m exhausted, however, running our general meetings and talking with you all have been the highlights of my day! I hope you all are settling in with your classes pretty well. Our first general meeting on August 23rd was amazing and filled with so much fun. I enjoyed seeing each of you there participating and learning about what we do in Key Club. Also, seeing the turnout and amount of cards we made during our first in-person service project was truly phenomenal. Making 100 plus cards in English and or Spanish has exceeded our expectations and the designs you all created were so creative! Our first fundraiser at the No.1 Boba Tea shop was a success as we were able to earn lots of $money$. September has come bearing lots of service opportunities and we will be participating in SERVEtember to complete as many of the items from the bucket list, so we can get our club recognized and earn some hours! One thing about being part of Key Club is that you are provided with numerous opportunities in which you can improve your leadership skills. One of those opportunities includes being the chair for one of our four committees or being involved within those committees. To find out more about what the committees are and how to get involved, I encourage you all to visit our website or our Instagram page. I’m excited to continue to work with you all to make our Key Club thrive in the best possible way. A reminder that we do have an upcoming DCM on the 21st! Make sure to stay safe, bee an active member, and join our remind: rhskc2022 to stay up to date with what we do. See you all at our next meeting on the 20th!

Fellow key club member, it was so nice to finally get to see some of you new and old members at our general meeting on the 23rd. I cannot wait to see our club hopefully grow over time, everytime I see a new name pop up on remind I get so excited. I hope to be able to talk to at least a few of you guys at our upcoming general meeting. When I had let the organizer for the cards for seniors in Riverside/ San Bernardino know that we had made a total of 133 cards she said exactly “This is incredible . . . and magical too!”. A fun fact about me is that I am actually from Riverside, California so when I found that amazing opportunity I was so excited. Nothing is more special than knowing I was able to in some way help my community in a good way. I still actually have a lot of family in Riverside. To finish this I just want to see if you see me or any of the other board members come say hi, make conversation, I promise none of us bite.

Hey Key Club-eez! I hope your first month of school was AMAZING! I really hope that you have been and will continue to attend our bi-weekly meetings as well as the fun service events and fundraisers that we set up. I want to remind you that we need our members to bee active in our club for us to flourish and be the best club we can be. Don’t forget our members are the foundation of the club! Remember to check our Instagram page and remind for any new information or events being held. Make sure to go all out on your service this month as we are participating in the CNH Servetember! So, get those hours in, prepare for this amazing term, and enjoy the rest of your September! Make sure to stay safe and I hope we can stay in person this year.

Hey bee-uties! We are now more than halfway through the first quarter, hope you all are still hanging in there. We have now completed our first fundraiser of the year!! We raised a total of

$182.84,

thanks to No. 1 Boba and their owner Amy Zhang. She was kind enough to donate 25% of the profits of her sales to our club, and for that, we are very grateful. There were some difficulties we had faced, but it all was alright in the end. I am currently starting to brainstorm ideas for our next fundraiser. Hope that everyone will continue to support us throughout the year so we can make the best of it!

Hey, hey, hey Key Clubbers! Can you believe we made it to a month of school? I sure can't, but I hope these past couple of weeks have been treating you right! Always remember to balance everything in your life, especially if you are too stressed about something. Other than that, I finally got to see all your wonderful faces in person at the end of August! I hope you still stick around for the many opportunities of projects we will be giving you. I'd also like to mention the committees are here and we are looking for you member to join them! Last year, I was part of one and let me just say, this made me closer to Key Club without be too much involved. Take this opportunity! Lastly, I hope you keep striving throughout the month and stay hydrated even if the weather is getting a little more cold!

Hey Key-uties! I hope you are enjoying all your classes and getting some service hours in for this month! As we move forward I hope you are excited for the events we have planned and I cannot wait to see how many of you sign up for the committees! Going into the school year, I was a bit nervous to see how everything would work but after this first month I know we’ll be able to accomplish some amazing things together. On the note of this year, this month I turned in the articles and visuals but they were a bit late due to them being a little longer than usual. I plan to change that this upcoming month by starting a lot sooner and balancing my school and club life better! I am so happy with everything we have done from our Boba Fundraiser to our first club meeting and I cannot wait to see what else we do this term! I am extremely proud of all of our E-Board everything they have done this month with staying caught up and keeping on top of the clubs’ events! We are all excited to jump back into helping those in our communities and I hope everyone is happy, healthy, and safe this month. Remember to always be safekey and know that you are all amazing in my eyes!

Articles & Visuals By Webmaster Vicente Chavez On August 18, our club went to our first in-person DCM for the 2021-2022 term! We had such a great time and getting to meet the other clubs in our division as well as the other divisions was amazing. It was fun getting to participate in all the bonding activities the LTG’s had planned for us and getting to hear what other clubs were doing gave us many ideas. We made great contacts at the DCM in August and even got another club to help support our club fundraiser on their Instagram. Also getting to see other clubs get awarded at DCM’s for their service hours and member participation really helped inspire our board to get our club on that level as well. We are very excited to see how the next month's meeting goes and we hope to get more members involved.

On August 23, our club had our first ever in-person meeting for the 2021 school year! We went over many things during the meeting including our Boba Fundraiser, Senior Cards Service Project, and more.

Beginning the meeting, we went over our presentation for what Key Club is and we discussed how this year would work as well as how much the club fee would be. After going over the basics of our club we went into some of the upcoming events and more specifically the fundraiser we had planned for that weekend! After we discussed the fundraiser with No.1 Boba Tea, we went on to talk about our first service project of the year which was making Senior Cards which was from Aug. 30th to Sept. 3! We got a lot of interest in this service project and decided to make a date to work on them as a club together but it was to take place on the Friday the cards were due. After going over all the business for the meeting, we decided to end by playing Pictionary to try to get to know each of the members and to get them excited for the year! It was an amazing experience and we had a great turn out making the meeting an amazing success!

On August 28 and 29, our club partnered with No.1 Boba Tea and had our first fundraiser for the year. We had planned for this fundraiser since the summer and at our first in-person meeting we handed out flyers for the members to post to get more people to go and support our club! It worked amazingly because we had many come out to support us and even some from other Key Clubs came to support us after sharing the new of our fundraiser at the DCM. We made a good profit for it being our first fundraiser and we plan to try to do more of these type of fundraisers in the future, especially for when Fall Rally comes around. We are very thankful to have such a supportive and hard working club and we cannot wait to see what else we can accomplish as a club before the end of our term!
