Gracelynn's Greetings Hey guys it's Gracelynn. Just wanted to see how everyone is doing and remind y'all that we are getting into the holidays which means the projects could potentially slow down . Don't forget to come hang with us at the meetings and sign up for events. Also Key Club week is next week so make sure you get in the spirit and participate in the daily fun!

All the love -Gracelynn

Paige's Piece Hey guys, we've started this year off really well. Keep signing up for and attending events.

Randall Key Club is Diverse By: Shelby Morton Throughout the year, our club tries to incorporate as many projects as possible. Often, we are doing odd jobs that other volunteers didn’t want or the same thing at each event; however, our members never mind. We enjoy serving the community especially when we get to do it with our friends. During my previous two years in Key Club, I have done it all. Usually, we start off with school carnivals in the fall. Every elementary school in town asks us to help run games, or monitor kids because they love the atmosphere we bring with us. We make it fun. I have helped at a fun farm where we helped lost people navigate a maze or monitored kids on a bouncer. A lot of our work involves kids and I think that’s what many of our members enjoy most. During the winter, it slows down; however, we still maintain a presence in the community. We help deliver gifts for Eveline Rivers and seek out opportunities to help our school. As spring rolls around, our club both participates in and helps run charity walks and runs or other outdoor fundraisers for organizations such as March of Dimes and Children’s Miracle Network. In addition to our loose seasonal schedule, we maintain projects that we do regularly. SnackPak 4 Kids is always in need of help; therefore, we go twice a month to help fill bags that go to kids who need help in our school district. Also, once a month the Randall Key Club cooks for the families with hospitalized children who stay Ronald McDonald House. Often, we get to see and talk to the families, and that really helps us realize our impact.

Furthermore, I have done some slightly odd jobs with Key Club. I remember volunteering at a local children’s home which owned a horse stable. They used the horses for therapy, but someone had to clean up after them. That day it was members from my club and I. None of us were upset though. We were happy to clean up if it meant that we got to interact with the horses and a playful mule named Jeb. Also, our club takes to time to help a local elementary school stuff folders for their weekly folders that they send home. It isn’t always the most fun, and honestly I think no one else wanted to do it. However, I have never heard a Key Club member complain. That information is important to the families even if no one wants to take the time to compile it. Randall Key Club has and will continue to do whatever is asked of us. It’s not that we try to be diverse, it’s that we are accepting and willing to do whatever is needed of us. That what makes Key Clubs around the world unique.
