ver since being apart of my first board meeting as a freshman class representative I knew Key Club was going to be with me during the rest of my high school career. As my freshman year of being a representative went on I knew that I truly enjoyed Key Club and wanted to do something to get involved with the executive board my sophomore year. As I looked into each and every position and their involvement in the executive board I started to grow interest in the Recording Secretary position. I looked at all the criteria for the position and talked to the current secretary at the time, Jessica Harris and asked a bunch of questions. When it came around to electing new officers I decided to run for the position. I ran for this position because I found Recording Secretary to be heavily involved in every aspect of meetings, giving reports, and I liked having the responsibility as well. Fast-forward to now, sophomore year, I have been Randall Key Club Recording Secretary for a year going on two years as I will also be the Secretary for my junior year. I have loved every minute of being secretary. The bonds with executive board is amazing. When I do reports I get to layout our past month on a sheet of paper and see just how much service our club is doing. I then write out a goals sheet on things that we maybe didn’t do that month whether it be we need more socials or ideas to get our activity higher, then I'll write it down and

RECORDING SECRETARY By Addyson Reimer discuss it with the board members. Communication is another aspect of being Recording Secretary that I truly enjoy. I am a very outgoing and talkative person so communication is an enjoyable part to my position. Being on executive board has turned me into a better more improved and independent person. I learn new things from new people every time I go to a meeting or when I attend a service project. Going to service events is one of my most favorite times of the week. When we have a club service project I get very excited to go see my friends and talk with the people we are helping most importantly. My favorite service project in Key Club would have to be Family Service center because you get to interact with the people you are helping and hear their stories. I learn a lot from a person when we listen to them and get to hear the impact that we are making on their lives. Key Club has definitely formed me into the person I am today and made me an even better version of myself.

RANDALL KEY CLUB

All About Randall Key Club By Kaitlyn Anders

is a club where you can give back to your community. It gives many opportunities for those who want to volunteer and have fun doing it. From Snack Pak to Ronald McDonald house, there is so much to do. It gives you a chance to hang out with friends and you can even bring guests to the club who may even be interested in joining. Key club can be a great experience for those who like to commit their time to helping others. And the executive board is a part of what makes the club the way it is today. Here at the key club for Randall high school, we have six positions. President, Vice President, Recording Secretary, Membership Secretary, Editor, Historian, and Parliamentarian. President is in charge of the club as a whole and makes sure that everything is in order. Vice President helps the President and is in charge of fundraising for the club. Recording Secretary is the one that takes minutes at the meetings and writes reports for District. Membership Secretary is in charge of keeping track of minutes of all members in the club. Editor writes articles about anything that has to do with key club. Historian takes pictures at the events and puts them together for the club’s scrapbook. And Parliamentarian is the one in charge of publicity for the club. Another part about Key Club is the members themselves. They are always at the events and enjoy being apart of the club. The members get to earn as many hours as they want and if they have enough in the end,

they get to go to DCON along with the board members. The members are don’t just represent key club but they also support it. They show that they enjoy what they do, which is helping others and being a good Samaritan. It gives them a chance to be a leader and show off their skills. And they can also lend a helping hand. Randall Key Club can give all sorts of opportunities to those who want to spend time taking care of people and their needs. And if you hard enough you can get a scholarship and be recognized for all the hard work you have done. It is a great experience for everyone and anyone. It is a great way for you to make friends and have memorable and exciting experiences. Key Club is a great club for anyone to join.
