Randall Key Club

To the Class Representatives: First of all: Congratulations on your new position in our Key Club! You have been specially selected out of many other applicants and we, as the executive board, have decided that you personally are the best fit

to represent your class in our club, community, and school. Although this may seem intimidating, don’t be scared. We all want to see you and our club flourish and succeed, so we will do our best to make you welcome and comfortable. I’m sure that some of you are slightly nervous to be in a leadership position, and that is okay! Throughout this year, you will learn how to lead your peers in situations that you might not be comfortable with, work with challenging people to find compromises

that benefit both parties, and discover how leadership and its effects can bring out the best in your personality! Personally, I was extremely shy when I first was a part of the Randall High School Key Club Board, but

06

being in charge of my editorial position and having responsibilities to not only myself but the club as well helped me mature into a much better leader than I was when I first tried out for this position. While you are on this board, you must realize that your actions reflect our club and the people in it, so be careful what you say and do. Remember that our priorities as a club are to serve and be kind, no matter what, so you as a direct representative of our morals must be sure to

uphold them. However, do not be afraid to come to any of us on the board for help or guidance. We all have different experiences in life, which makes us able to relate to others and work well together, and it might also help us to give you any advice you may be seeking. In addition, our teacher sponsors are always glad to help, whether it be a per-

sonal issue or a life trial. Now that you are on the board, you are a part of the Key Club family more than ever before, and we cannot wait to see where this position and your leadership abilities will take you, and we will support you throughout your journey to become a better leader, better person, and better friend.
