The main layout of the project is based on a main longitudinal axis along the plot that connects the main three buildings (Practical center, Administration building and warehouses). The axis works as a connecting social pathway and fulfills the circulation requirements for each building.
The front façade is designed to give a warm welcoming feeling through the use of glass/ transparency. As for the administration building, the goal was to create an atmosphere of trust and stability through the creation of one big sharp volume with repetitive and organized openings. The spaces are oriented inwards to give a sense of community and visual continuity. On the contrary, the practical center was oriented to face the main axis, considering the entrance frequent usage. In addition, minimal openings were used in the south façade.
The design reflects the environment of Jericho city and Jordan Valley. It took into account the use of local materials and traditional building methods with environmental benefits. It reintroduced the use of traditional brick in a modern context. As a result, the final design fits harmoniously with the city and does not impose itself on it.

Building materials and facades
Brick offers a wide range of advantages. First, it has many environmental benefits and is classified as an environmentally friendly material. Secondly, it has a rich minimal aesthetic value, that contributes to reduce the feeling of massiveness of the building. Thirdly, the use of bricks has its history in the city of Jericho, considering it was used in the past as the main building material.
Facades design: Perforated Brick was used as a shading element in the facades with direct exposure to the sun. The use of perforated brick patterns and glass created a rich and harmonious flow of light and air, and produced multiple levels of visual communication, transparency and privacy. The 45 cm thick external walls serve as an insulator for the high
