Private Client: xxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx This luxury chalet located in the hills of Chamonix, France overlooks the mountain ranges of Mont Blanc. The garden brief was to design an enclosedspace,whilestillmaintainingviewsoutintothewiderlandscape. Planting was selected to give textural interest while being hardy enough to withstand the freezing winters of the alpine environment. Boundary planting of Thuja occidentalis ‘Smaragd’ and other conifers tie into the surrounding mountainous landscape. Bottagisio Decoux hand crafted boulders were commissioned to be placed amongst the herbaceous borders. Blushes of spring colour are off-setwiththesculpturalelementswithinthegarden. Creatingatranquil space to enjoy year round.

RSA created an entirely new space overlooking St Tropez involving extensive work, including terracing the hillside and planting olive groves and cypresses to accentuate the views. The existing swimming pool was restored to incorporate pergolas and substantial gazebos.

Client: Starwood xxxxxx Hotels RSAdevelopedadetaileddesignfortherefurbishmentofthisluxuryhotel xxxxxxxxin the heart of Athens. The main areas of design included the situated creation of a roof terrace garden bar with scenic views of the Acropolis, and a pool area which featured a glass sculpture with a picturesque backdrop.

Client: Client: xxxxxxx Confidential xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx RSA created an entirely have been commissioned to design a series of new gardens for a large estate to the north west of Quebec. The existing roseandparterrehave been redesigned to incorporate classical elements as well as a contemporary palette of plants. A number of smaller gardens have been created away from the main house. The Music Pavilion Garden has been designed as a flexible space to accommodate summer concerts.
THE ROSE GARDEN

Client: Private RSA’s brief was to create an English Garden with avenues of herbaceous planting along with plenty of recreational space and al fresco eating areas for the long hot New England summers. RSA made use of the sloping terrain to design a series of connecting terraces and garden rooms including an herbaceous avenue, a lawn with a petanque court and an avenue of clipped hornbeam. The pool area was re-landscaped incorporating the existing paving and an attractive new pool house which reflects the architecture of the main house. Many of the trees and herbaceous plants were grown to order, a masterfulblendofplantingallcombinestocreateabeautifulandromantic English haven across the pond.

Client: Pacvest Group RSA were commissioned to design this large private residential garden for a new villa in the exclusive Palm Hills Development. A fusion of traditional Islamic and modern contemporary garden styles create a rich and multi-layered sequence of formal and informal garden spaces, with a hierarchy of dedicated areas for entertainment and relaxation.

The garden is linked by a series of palm and flowering tree avenues with lush exotic planting, all connected by a sequence of water features which include fountains to the main entrance, groves of frangipani’s set within mirror pools, dramatic cascades, waterfalls and a 25m swimming/spa pool with infinity edge.

RESORT ISLAND CAZANGA ISLAND, ANGOLA Client: Confidential RSA have been appointed to undertake a landscape master plan services associated with the development of a 500 hectare uninhabited island off the coast of Angola. 200 hectares are to be retained as nature reserve containingextensivemangrovesandgrasslandsavannah. 300hectaresare to be developed as an eco-resort including 2 resort hotels, golf facilities, residentialhousingandassociatedretailleisurefacility.Thedevelopment oftheinfrastructurerequiresextensiveconsiderationinorderthatenergy, water and waste are accommodated in a sensitive and sustainable way. The first phase will include marina and a servicing compound in adition to a nursery requiring RSA to develop an advanced procurement strategy. RSA are working closely with the golf course architect to develop a seawater irrigated golf landscape in conjunction with native species.
PRINCE’S CLUB MASTER PLAN AGADIR, MOROCCO
Client: Prince’s Club RSA were commissioned to assist with and devise a master plan for a highly prestigious mixed-use, residential and equine sports complex in Morocco. The development centres on a new football and athletics stadium for Agadir, in association with a world class tennis complex and hotel / leisure facility. Polo fields are proposed around the stadium occupying land reclaimed from a city refuse site. Associated stabling, veterinary clinics and accommodation, has been designed as a civic experience; robust in form and sophisticated in character. The existing watercourses have been enhanced and reflected in the design. This geographical approach has also been adopted in the layout of the residential villas to the north. A boutique hotel and retail facility encloses the number one polo field.The oued (watercourse) to the west will be enhanced forming a naturalised parkland barrier and ecological resource.

A comprehensive design and build solution with over ÂŁ1 million worth of plants. Specialist craftsmen spent several months on location overseeing the initial installation phase and provided training for local labour for the long term maintenance of the planting.
ROCCO FORTE HOTEL MARRAKECH
Client: Rocco Forte Assoufid Rocco Forte Hotel and Resort is set just outside the city on 222 hectares of countryside, against the spectacular backdrop of the Atlas Mountains.This boutique development comprises spacious villas, a luxury hotel and spa, an 18-hole private golf course with clubhouse and a golf academy. RSA have been commissioned to carry out the landscape and external works for the resort complex which is to be completed in phases. Key landscape elements of the hotel are the main entrance courtyard with a focal water feature, landscaped formal gardens with an elegantly detailed pool and decadent palm avenues with a series of interlinked outdoor spaces surrounding the main swimming pool and terraced poolsiderestaurant.Eachwingofthehotelhasitsowncentrallandscaped courtyardswithinformalbreakfastareasandaswimmingpoolsurrounded by large citrus trees offering vistas to the surrounding olive grove and Atlas Mountains.

IBN HANI BAY RESORT SYRIA
Client: GMW Architects The Ibn Hani Bay Resort is a joint venture between Qatari Diar and the Syrian government. Located 11km north of the city of Lattakia on coastal Syria, the resort lies on prime seafront land orientated west to the Mediterranean Sea. It is being developed as a mixed use beach resort divided into public and private zones. The resort is intended to create the way forward for the development of 5 star resorts in Lattakia. It will promote a family and community environment with open spaces as well as facilities that will appeal to more sophisticated users. RSA were appointed by GMW Architects to provide the landscape design and urban realm advice for the on plot zones within the site, comprising the clubhouse, townhouses, Diar club, The Point and Marina Plaza. The commission is to take the project from concept through to on site completion.

KASABA RESIDENTIAL COUNTRY CLUB ISTANBUL, TURKEY
Client: Kasaba Developments The project included the landscape master planning for two large scale mix-use residential developments to the east and west of Istanbul. Working closely with the local architects, the schemes represented a synthesis of European and Middle Eastern landscape design, creating a unique setting for the buildings and landscape features.
KASABA RESIDENTIAL COUNTRY CLUB
BEIT SALAHIEH HOTEL ALEPPO, SYRIA
Client: Bilad Al Sham Hotels The Beit Salahieh Hotel in Aleppo appointed RSA to redesign the externalspaceswithinthehotel,whichincludesseveralcourtyardspaces, terraces and a roof top garden restaurant. The designs for each space centre on the architectural features of the hotel, such as the Iwans that lead onto the courtyards, and the fantastic views of the Citadel of Aleppo which is considered to be one of the oldest in the world. The various courtyards have ornate water features and loose organic planting that create oases within the hotel. The entrance courtyard has a striking 8m clear stem palm. The roof top restaurant is designed to feel like being in a garden, with planters and a glass water wall defining the space and framing the views out to the Citadel. Removable canopies erected to provide shade when necessary.
PRIVATE HOUSE EASTERN MEDITERRANEAN
Client: Confidential This private garden, located in close proximity to the sea in a prestigious suburb was designed in collaboration with Kelly Hoppen Interiors. The garden was created to reflect the unique and clean line of the interiors. RSA saw this design-and-build project materialise from inception to completion. The 1,500m² garden consists of a 5 metre water wall, glass cube screen, pergola, trellis screen and door, BBQ and pool-bar, clay pots, swimmingpoolandJacuzzi,terracesandwatercascadeandauniquelighting scheme incorporating fiber-optics. The planting scheme was carefully devised to match the luxurious design. A carefully selected list of plants complements the overall design and creates a perfect composition of hard and soft landscape.

FOCA GOLF RESORT FOCA, TURKEY
Client: Confidential Located on the main coastal road, 7km north of Foรงa and approximately 70km north of Izmir, lies an unspoilt historic fishing village. This relatively untouched landscape provides a perfect site for a five star beach-front golf resort. Themasterplanaimstoenhanceexistingsitefeatures,includingthemany historic ruins that are scattered throughout the site, and views along the valley, while providing the area with a first class hotel, golf course and private residential housing. The natural ecology of the site is a primary influence in the design development of the site. Consideration has been given to ensuring adequate water supply, maximum retention on the existing trees and minimising visual impacts on the surrounding landscape.
KEMER GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB ISTANBUL, TURKEY
Client: Kasaba Developments RSA were commissioned to prepare a full master plan for this prestigious country park development on the outskirts of Istanbul, deep in the Kemer forest. RSA were responsible for the design of all external components, including courtyards, swimming pool complexes, car park environs and a large ‘village square’ reflecting vernacular traditions and materials. An important aspect of the proposals centred around the requirements touselocallyavailablematerialsandconstructiontechniques,appropriate for the setting and climate. Indigenous plant species and natural stone have been used to great effect, providing a sustainable design which will develop over time.
CHARACTER SKETCH OF THE MAIN SQUARE IN BAWADI COMMUNITIES
BAWADI COMMUNITIES DUBAILAND, DUBAI
Client: Tatweer RSA were appointed to develop landscape master plan proposals for 2,000 hectares of Dubailand. The proposals are for a new urban area with hotel resorts, housing, offices, shops, hospitals, schools, mosques and community facilities linked together with a new transport network; motorways, boulevards and a mono-rail. The projected permanent population of the area is in excess of 300,000 people. At the heart of the proposal is the creation of a sustainable, well-designed public realm; the streets, parks and gardens, piazzas, local centres, village squares and pocket parks that will help form the identity for an urban district expanding into the desert.
ABU DHABI CENTRAL MARKET ABU DHABI, UAE
Client: ADDAR RSA joined the RTKL design team to develop an interior and exterior landscape design for Abu Dhabi Central Market project. The competition winning design strived to create a unique and memorable design that enhanced the architectural concept.

ENTERTAINMENT DISTRICT DUBAI
Client: Tatweer RSA are working with RTKL Architects & Mott MacDonald transportation on the concept design for a new resort strip in the desert, on the outskirts of Dubai City. The linear development, 10 kilometres long and 1 kilometre wide, is focused around a central boulevard. It takes inspiration from the Vegas Strip in the Nevada desert. The entertainment district is envisaged to be the new landmark for Dubai, forming a global destination for hotels, retail, restaurants, entertainmentandsportfacilities. Creatingthe setting for the holiday resorts, the boulevard passes through a series of areas with distinctive landscapes from the dense vibrant urban scene of the ‘strip’through to dunes, woodland and oasis landscapes. Forming a sustainableschemethatrespondstolocalconditionsandastrongidentity which is unique to this area.

The overall concept for the site is to establish a sophisticated air of casual living, realised at a very high standard, to create modern tropical living. Each of the villas has its own private garden which includes swimming pools,whiletheconceptfortheremaininglandscapeistoestablishusable areas which embrace the character of the region and the dramatic local landform.

SESTRA RIVER DEVELOPMENT ST. PETERSBURG, RUSSIA
Client: Jensen Group RSA were appointed as landscape master planners working alongside UK basedarchitectstodevelopalandscapemasterplananddesignguidelines for a major residential-led regeneration scheme of a former ornaments factory on the outskirts of St. Petersburg, Russia. The key 19th Century listed buildings were retained with new build residentialblocksincorporatedontheformalgridlayout,alongwithretail, office, education and leisure facilities. The landscape strategy revolved around the enhancement of a central formal boulevard; the creation of a series of linked public spaces in between; a refurbished park and woodland and the adjoining canal and mill buildings.

Client: Architects RSA were commissioned, together with PRP Architects, to prepare concept design proposals for the proposed exclusive residential resort development on the Black Sea, Sochi Belyi Parus in Sochi, Russia. RSA worked alongside PRP Architects developing landscape conceptual ideas and an overall landscape strategy for the external spaces, focusing on the key character areas including the hotel and office frontage, the boulevard,thehotelpodiumgardens,theresidentialpodiumgardens,the promenade and various servicing and ancillary areas. The conceptual design involved researching the history and culture of Sochi and surrounding region, to understand how the landscape proposals could create a meaningful and unique place, in addition to adding value to the development and the rich heritage of the city.

Client: Confidential RSA were commissioned by a number of clients to design a series of gardenswithinanexistingareaofwoodland.Thelandscapewasarranged to respond and complement the classical vernacular of the architecture. The formal arrangements were carefully considered so that as much of the existing woodland and vegetation was maintained to retain the privacy of each villa.

Central Market is a new city square close to the centre of Ekaterinburg, Sverdlovsk region of russia. The aim of the design is to establish this new square as one of Ekaterinburg’s principle public spaces. Creating a centre piece for the surrounding new retail, residential and office development. The new elegant space will be composed of high quality materials, with theatrical fountains and lighting effects.
TIKVIN CLUB HOUSE EKATERINBURG, RUSSIA
Client: Forum Group The design of a residential courtyard for an apartment complex close to the centre of Ekaterinburg, Russia’s third city. The courtyard garden is situated on the roof of a new luxury spa complex. The aim of the scheme is to provide a rich visual environment, taking inspiration and elements from the Russian landscape, forests and meadows to create a place of retreat from the bustling city.
CRYSTAL ISTRA MOSCOW, RUSSIA
Client: MosCity Group Crystal Istra aims to create a community within a parkland setting with a lifestyle that meets the high expectations of a sophisticated Russian market. The boardwalk that runs parallel to the river’s edge forms a gentle promenadethatwillhavenumerousjettiesovertheriver,providing ten distinct areas for relaxation.The linear park, designed for children, is situated in the centre of the scheme and has links to the riverside boardwalk. Thehousingisnaturallydividedthroughoutthecommunitybythelinking of parkland gardens with the‘green corridors’. There will be five different garden designs for the residential properties in order to offer variation as well as create a sense of individuality amongst this very natural and organic area.
