The 13th strike in the past two years at the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach began at Cal Cartage Warehouse and Intermodal Bridge Transport on May 31. The strike expanded dramatically the next day, including drivers at XPO Port Services and K&R Transportation and warehouse workers at Cal Cartage. By the end of the week, the action spread as far south as the Mexican border. The strike concluded June 6, with a march from Intermodal Bridge Transport to Cal Cartage. But the Port of Los Angeles was as much of a target as the law-breaking companies it continues to tolerate.
