“To see the Earth as it truly is, small and blue and beautiful in that eternal silence where it floats, is to see ourselves as riders on the Earth together, brothers on that bright loveliness in the eternal cold — brothers who know now they are truly brothers.”
― Archibald MacLeish
Collective play by artist Randy Alva who proposes to create a unique and particular image of the world by collecting small video fragments of the sky across the globe. For this project, he invites all artists, film makers, photographers and, generally, every planet earth habitant (194 countries) with access to a camera or a phone, to take 10 to 15 minutes of their time and record the sky from where they are standing and send it to farisalsohere@gmail.com with the Name/Country-City/ Time of recording.
This visual experiment will be a part of a grand video-installation where the multiple recordings will be received and exposed as part of a whole.
