Atrium

Designed to serve as an outdoor park where members of the community can immerse themselves in this historic Phoenix building. The atrium provides views of historic elements of the building. The central circulation element provides views out to the city of Phoenix. The ground plane is filled with desert native plants and spaces for people to interact with one another.

Exhibit 0-5

Designed for children ages 0-5. This exhibit is an experience for children to walk in and feel as if they have been shrunk down and are playing in the large Sonoran Desert.

Exhibit 6-10

Designed for children ages 6-10. The space makes the children feel as if they are the same size as plants and trees and can experience moving through the branches and roots.

Daycare

Designed to welcome children of current employees, and employees training to work in the museum. Employees will learn how to cooperate and interact with children in the daycare. The daycare will also have children of current employees to keep them entertained and feel welcome.
