Rava Kesari : Sweet Dish From Fried Rava


Rava Kesari is a sweet and delicious South Indian sweet made from fried Rava. Rava is known as Sooji in Hindi and Semolina in English. Â The word Kesari means orange, sweet food looks orange in colour so it gets the name Rava kesari.

How to make Rava Kesari ? Roast the rava  in ghee and stir it while cooking. Add water, sugar, kesar, chopped pineapple, cardamom powder and raisins kesari(saffron). Add some fried cashews and cloves to garnish the Rava Kesari.The proportion of Rava,water and ghee is important while making Rava Serve hot this healthy  Rava dish.
