The project brief was to create a commercial hub in a transit-oriented zone of Gurga on, India. so I decided to create a series of interactive spaces that create an optimum condition for encounters and exchanges between the various groups of users of retail, coworking, and residents, since a single community space does not effectively cater to the varying needs of the different users groups. design is completely based on cre ating multiple levels which will eventually provide a terrace on a different level. these terrace act as a landscape feature or interaction space for users.

CONCEPTS

The Concept Behind this project to creates a range of nodal relationships, first through the floor plat and then through the solid and voids. The voids betweenthe floor plates are traversed through connectors, designed to act as a place of lingering and pause. At the urban level, the structure rises up to form three towers- strategical ly aligned to site edges and to chanel wind movement along with creating a visual identity for the development.

To make the building green oriented , i cerated a green terraces on diffrent level which will act as a intraction space and the centrally placed courts act as a light well in this building to provide natural lights on all floors .

SPINE

Using central spine building blocks placed , to makes the movement clear.

My main idea on intent was I tried to create a central spine on site which will act as a public interaction space and act as a main pedestrian circulation .

SITE ANALYSIS

After that I created some interesting spaces in that spine so that it will increase the public interactions and also provide life to the surroundings blocks

Slope Analysis of the site

• Red marks the steeper slope areas, which go up

• Yellow marks the slightly slopes areas which can minimal cut and fill

• Green marks very flat land, and this is mostly towards the site

These plaza also provide views to the block and also help in cool down a building by evaporative cooling and fresh air flow

I also divided a site into two zone based on activity like zone 1 has regular visitor zone and zone 2 has occasionally visitor

CONCEPT DRIVED FROM

rajendra nagar road which is a major biconnection to major important arterial only high traffic road around the site .

A PROPOSED ROAD is 30m wide road which the site to rajendra nagar road and other also dividing a site into two part.

The INNER ROAD 2 is vehicular but is currently the INNER ROAD 1 is pedestrian and can’t site. There several walkable pathways as ROAD which can be used forinternal connections opment.

FORM DEVELOPMENT

1. created a massing in such a way that upper floor shade the lower floor.

2. created a form in such a way that its makes a plaza in center which will used as a spill out or public gathering space .

3. Block placed on site north south orientation longer face facing north to get maximum de fuse light ,

4. placed a atrium in both the block because span of the structure is high and natural light can not travel more than 8m span . That’s why atrium provide light and and act as a inter action space as well

For façade treatment I used vertical louvers in different style , like I decreases the spacing between louvers in different side , for south and west side spacing in low and others side high

Zone 2 is residential zone which is placed on a back side of a site to provide privacy and sequrity. its also design with a central court and blocks placed along that court.

Zone 3 is Exibition zone in which has a musuem and cafe.its placed in middle part of the site for easy access by the people and its con nected with diffrent open public spaces .

Craft are chosen from different region , wood carving from Uttar Pradesh , thangka painting from hi machal Pradesh and dhokra craft from Jharkhand . Each craft has different require ment of spaces

ELEVATION

SHAHA RESIDENCE

The Design brief was to design a residence for a law family in a highly posh area of Delhi. the client is required to build a dy namic house for a family of 6 . with an office and gym studio.

the main idea for designing this residence was to provide natu ral light to all the spaces. for shading the building, the form was developed in such a way that it shades the building by its canti levered projections. created a green open space all around the building to provide a decent view of all the spaces on the ground floor

after all the addition and alteration i got my final desirable form .

on last floor added some block for gym and other activity, provided a green terraces as well to improve the user experance .

added some more centileavered projection on upper floor to make the building form .

for upper floor i cantileavred the building from all side to provide shade and and form.

After extracting the mass from that rectangle i got my basic form of a building.

Than I extract the mass from that rectangle to get a desirable form of a building.

I took one rectangular mass to cre ate a desirable form, a rectangle placed in the center after providing an all-given setback.
