Our Muay Thai classes also are conducted in a safe and encouraging atmosphere. In our beginners Muay Thai class, we focus on your fitness and technique to prepare you for the next level. MMA program at SSC teaches students the fundamentals of various martial arts disciplines. MMA is a challenging yet exhilarating full-contact sport that implements a combination of techniques from Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Wrestling, Muay Thai, and Boxing.
SSC is the only gym in Saigon with World Champions in Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Mixed Martial Arts, Boxing, Wrestling, No-Gi Grappling, and more. SSC is also the only gym in Saigon with MMA classes that are taught by actual MMA World Champions and/or elite, world-class professional fighters.
Authenticity and Quality
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, or BJJ, is an art in the category of grappling, derived from Japan and later popularized in South America in the early 1900s, allows for a smaller individual to use leverage, angle, and timing to control an opponent much larger than themselves. Commonly known as “Human Chess” or the “Gentle Art” Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is an intensive martial art which is still being developed to this day.
Taught by a black belt, the highest belt you can attain in BJJ, our Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes are divided according to the traditional BJJ belt ranking system. Students in our BJJ program will learn different types of chokeholds, joint lock submissions, positional techniques, and ground control. The objective of your BJJ training will be to obtain mastery over what you’ve learned.
