Sofia Clothing Co.
Sofia Clothing Co. Sofia may not be known by a many people, but her legacy and name is still embroidered across the hearts of many. Sofia worked as a seamstress during the Second World War when fabric rationing limited the amount of material that could be used to make clothes. In Paris glamour was still alive and women were still stylish, thanks to clothes created using odd and unusual materials or recycling old ones. One of them was Sofia. The memory of Sofia and her odd approach became the inspiration for the graphic identity as well as the creation of the first collection. To further honor the process and launching the brand, the collection is accompanied by a process/collection catalog.

Noise Festival With a little help from friends the Gothenburg based Noise Festival collective have been able to put together a stronger than ever line-up consisting of a wide range of music genres. The concept is simple; regardless if you like the music or not, just stop by for a beer with friends and enjoy the noise. The typographic and illustrative identity derive from the concept of combining a wide range of genres with the only common denominator being the noise and more importantly the philosophy of not taking life too serious.

The Moab Paper Company Moab Paper not only takes great pride in the process of making excellent paper but also about their geographic location and its ancient landmarks in Moab, Utah. The aim with this rebrand is to take the values of our history to meet a new generation of designers, artist and photographers at places where their artwork live – in their portfolios, modern galleries and exhibitions. The foundation of the brand is the idea that it belongs to the people who use it, and therefore it was a natural step to combine the tradition found in the rural landscape with a contemporary design approach.

Parrot Home Already successful in the field of high end electronic products used on the go, the task at hand was to create a strategy and graphic identity enabling Parrot to come inside to become permanent installations in the home. To introduce the new products, the line is anchored in the story of the Parrot Research and Development team and their process. Each object has its own story which is told through photographic layouts in the format of packaging design. Each product carries it own custom numeral living within the R&D seal ensuring its quality.

Virgin Spring
Virgin Spring The Virgin Spring by Ingmar Bergman has been influential to filmmakers ever since its introduction to the world in 1960. Apart from the beautiful photography, the film offers marvelous symbology which I set out to capture and distill down to one strong impactful symbol. In my mind the essence of the film is the struggle between the values of the violent paganism of the north and Christianity.

Contour
Contour Contour is a store experience with carefully curated products, each telling its unique story of meetings between people, materials and and of course cultures. Forming the store as an exhibition space rather than a conventional retail store, enables the housing of a diverse range of contemporary designs. We envision this will cater to today’s constantly changing demand for brand new experiences and styles. In addition it fills a gap in the market where the large stores often are bound to a specific style and the boutique shops can’t provide a holistic experience at the same scale. Essentially Contour is driven by an idea that products wherein form and function meet, also have a story worthy of sharing with others.

Contour Home The home decor line is the heart of the store striving to make good contemporary design available through a selection of functional and timeless products that evoke affection. An integral part in the development of the visual system was to create a strong and flexible packaging system that never would over-power the product nor the designer. The solution was to strip the package down to its bare essentials, the product itself, its story, and the designer. This enabled us to bring the components together into one cohesive system of product photography, a pared down color coding, and concise typography. The result is a package design honoring the product while telling its story with clarity and a sense of honesty.

Contour Essentials Contour Essentials ties the store together into one cohesive experience by providing basic products of high quality that function as a compliment to the other brands. In addition of being an extension of other product lines the objects themselves are to be considered stand alone pieces of design striving to make every day life slightly better through form and function. The visual system consists of a line art graphic that illustrates the product and its use in a naively straight-forward manner. The line, or contour if you will, has an open meaning, but for us it’s symbolic of the narrative of each product that together form the story of Contour.

Contour Interior Care While all Contour products are made to last, the purpose of the interior care line is to ensure the longevity of functionality and finish. The product line offers a wide range of liquids, soaps and waxes taking care of natural materials such as wood, stone and leather. The packaging uses a system of distinct typography, iconography, and imagery of the material intended to be treated, creating a simple and intuitive experience for the consumer. The aluminum structures communicate the contrast between natural and man-made. In addition, it provides the packaging with a sense of trust and cleanliness.

Still Skincare Still creates skincare formulas based solely on natural ingredients free from artificial additives enabling a product that’s kind to both skin and our environment. The wide range of plant derived cleansers, toners and serums are crafted and filtered by hand before finally being bottled. Once filled the translucent bottles become the quality assurance for the consumer displaying the purity of the content inside. The sense of honesty and integrity is carried on throughout the identity by the use of a simple yet concise typographic system. To evoke the intimacy and nature of the product the primarily white structures are matched with patterns of floral illustrations.

Foil Contour’s private label restaurant and grocery market Foil aim to provide consumers with a personal, transparent and local food experience. With a curated selection of local produce and freshly prepared food from the restaurant, Foil offers a refined alternative to conventional grocery stores. The importance of the produce origin is signified by abstract graphics inspired by the natural surrounding of each product. In contrast with the raw nature and to emphasize the quality of the products, each package is adorned with the calligraphic word mark and a delicate typographic system.

Nascent Objects Essentially Nascent is a modular consumer electronics creation platform and marketplace. By combining CAD tools, 3D printing, circuitry and a library of component modules, the platform helps creators take their consumer electronics ideas from concept to market-ready products in a matter of days. Ammunition worked alongside Nascent to refine the system, design the library of reusable component modules, and create finished pilot products using the platform. Working with the team of talented industrial designers and strategists at Ammunition, my role was crafting a visual identity and accompanying packaging graphic system.

This chapter is dedicated to the fragments that have yet to make the cut; a selection of disregarded proposals, illustrations, and motion graphic stills.
