Report Formats For any of the reports, you can select a variety of options on the details screen, including the output format:
PDF – Adobe PDF file which will open in Adobe Reader HTML – web page format (for some reports) Export (CSV) – a comma-separated-values report which can be imported into a spreadsheet like Excel
Frequently Asked Questions How do I retrieve grades for a student who switched classes? When guidance counselors transfer students out of one of your classes, the students immediately disappear from your active roster and it appears as though the grades you entered for them have vanished. In order to retrieve the grades, do the following: • Select the class for the student of interest in the Classes pane. • In the Student Groups pane, use the pull-down menu to change Highlight Selected to Filter Selected • Select the group of dropped students by clicking on Dropped. • Their grades will now become visible and you can note them for manual input in their new class. When you finish reviewing dropped students’ grades, change the Filter Selected back to Highlight Selected in the Student Groups pane and click on Active to get back to the default mode of only looking at active students. You can also see the old grades from within PowerTeacher outside of the Gradebook by pulling up the student’s Quick Lookup information screen, clicking the Show dropped classes also link underneath their schedule, and then clicking on the average grade in the dropped class to view the underlying assignments.
