ritish Tamils Forum is an umbrella organisation, bringing together individuals, Tamil community organisations and well wishers, to highlight the humanitarian crises and human rights violations perpetrated by the Government of Sri Lanka, and to advance the Tamil National cause to fulfil the Tamils’ Socio-Political aspirations, through democratic means. Since May 2009 the Tamil Diaspora, not just within the UK but around the world, have descended into emotional turmoil in the face of unparalleled suffering inflicted upon our kith and kin back home. Despite our efforts globally we could not stop the massacre of our people by the Sri Lankan state. There has been a general feeling of despondency within our community in the wake of the unprecedented loss of lives of our kith and kin.
