TECHNICAL INFORMATION SHEET
Oil Spill Contingency Plans When an oil spill occurs it can have very serious consequences, affecting a variety of resources and calling for a fast and effective response by a number of different organisations. An oil spill can be a complicated process and an Oil Spill Contingency Plan (OSCP) is essential if an organisation plans to combat the spill effectively. The OSCP should include systems and procedures which capture the fundamentals of good response planning. Fundamentals include well trained people who are adequately resourced; using tried and tested systems to promote the most effective response; thus reducing impacts on people, the environment, assets and business reputation.
The Service Oil Spill Response will work closely with the client to deliver a user friendly, concise, fit for purpose OSCP. Through experience gained in the successful delivery of OSCPs worldwide, Oil Spill Response understands that engagement with all stakeholders is essential and will always advocate their involvement.
