Raver Magazine had the opportunity to catch up with the Dutch Duo W&W at Label Night Club in Charlotte, NC. The crowd was insane as they worked their way into a sold out venue that pack the house waiting to rave the night away: Michael Beas, CEO of Raver Magazine, had chance to interview DJ/ Producers Willem van Hanegem & Ward van der Harst few questions before their set. This is what they had to share with their fans:

Q. That being said, do you only listen and look for the music? Or are you looking for the whole package that comes along with it? Honestly we only listen to the music. We really don?t focus so much on who its from but rather the music because after all we are doing this for the Love of Music and that is the true heart of what we want to hear when selecting a new track. Q. What else is in the line up tour wise for W&W? Q. So many people follow you guys, either through the different social media channels or on tour. That being said, you?ve come along way since your first track Mustang. If you can offer one piece of advice to those who read the magazine or watch the video, what would that be? We never expected it to be like this, especially when we created ?Mustang,?our first track. We never thought we would get signed. We were doing it for the Love of Music, for the passion and the drive to create. We figured that if we worked hard and always tried to make our music better things would fall in line for us. And really, that's the key for us; to always strive to make our music better. If there is a better mix or a solid DJ set, we want to adapt and make that part of our music.
Right now we are booked solid for the entire month of August straight up till September. Which is exhausting but a great thing none the less. Q. Any new tracks coming out for W&W this month? We just released a new track a few hours ago and are planning on dropping it tonight. That?s always fun for us. We like to check out the vibe and the crowd as they hear new W&W music.
Q. I?m sure you guys get thousands of tracks sent into you every day. Aspiring DJs, Producers hope, beg almost for you guys to take sometime to listen into their music. How do you filter that out? That?s really the issue. We like and want to hear every track that gets sent into us. We don?t want to miss a demo that could be amazing. So we literally take our time to listen to everything that comes into us. Like we are listing to a new track from someone really young from Germany that has a ton of talent. The essence of what we want to capture is all things that come to us because you never know, there is that one great track out there that we don?t want to miss out on.

'Bloodline' - Feat. Tomas Hoeffding
Kölsch
Bloodline Feat. Tomas Hoeffding is a unique blend of transic elements that spin you in to an electronic journey that is not for the faint of heart. It takes you to the past, a past that in many ways has long been forgotten. The rhythm, the beats that drop to the backdrop of JFK is a blend that is not more then a spacewalk into perfection. But honestly, what can we expect from the revered Danish producer and live performer KĂ–LSCH. This track follows his 2013 hit album "1977" (KOMPAKT 276 CD 107) with the new full-length "1983", again chaining up heroic techno tracks for a grandiose sonic journey to the vibrant heart of today's dance floor. Coupling contemporary production pizzaz with nostalgia-tinged soundscapes and sweeping melodies, this opus acts as both a skillfully composed portfolio of personal memories and a sublime collection of crowd-charming cuts - a modern classic in the making, coming from a master of his craft. The Time is NOW.... Enjoy the already timeless tunes 'Bloodline' feat. Tomas

Jean-Michel Jarre?s ?E-Project? Album Pre-Order: http:/ / bit.ly/ iTunesJean-MIchel http:/ / bit.ly/ SpotifyJean-Michel
JEAN-MICHEL JARRE & ARMIN VAN BUUREN WATCH THE TRACK-BY-TRACK STORY FOR "STARDUST" FEATURING On Saturday, July 25, Armin van Buuren took the Main Stage at Tomorrowland to play a headline set in front of thousands that packed up side by side with the hope of being taken away to ASOT. Armin sized the opportunity to premiere his latest and most exciting collaboration to date with electronic legend and icon, Jean-Michel Jarre, entitled ?Stardust?.
This collaboration was set to be a part of Jean-Michel Jarre?s eagerly anticipated new album, ?Stardust?which is the sixth piece of music to be announced from the Frenchman?s forthcoming project, due on October 16. Taking his place alongside other outstanding luminaries such as M83, Tangerine Dream, Gesaffelstein, 3D (Massive Attack) and Vince Clarke, Armin van Buuren is the first artist announced from pure trance roots? something that Jarre himself insisted upon.
?Trance music is one of the biggest movements and draws in electronic music,? said Jarre. ?Armin van Buuren has always stayed faithful to that style and he?s one of the most respected figures of that genre. Trance music had to be included in this journey for me.?
With hundreds of thousands attending and millions steaming live the festival online, Tomorrowland was simple the best place on the planet for 'Stardust'.
About Jean-Michel Jarre: Jean-Michel Jarre is one of electronic music?s formative figures, releasing his groundbreaking album Oxygene in 1976 and remaining a pioneering force in the scene through the decades after with other classic albums like Equinoxe, Magnetic Fields, RendezVous and Chronology. Jarre has been a major influence on artists of all stripes, from techno producers down to electronic-driven bands like M83, and has been commissioned for special performances everywhere from NASA & the City of Houston, Beijing?s Forbidden City, London?s Docklands to Egypt?s Great Pyramids.

WELL COLDHARBOUR IS KNOWN FOR AWESOME TRANCE, AND ALSO SOME DEEP AND DARK SOUNDS AS WELL. SO NIFRA'S TRACK WAS DARK INITIALLY WHEN I HEARD IT BEFORE WRITING THE LYRICS AND MELODY. I LOVED THAT IT HAD SUCH A PROMINENT SYNTH LINE. SO FOR LYRICS I WANTED SOMETHING POWERFUL TO MATCH THE SYNTHS. DARK TRANSLATING INTO POWER AND POSITIVITY. SO THE IDEA OF AN ARMY COMING TO A RESCUE OR SALVATION MATCHED THE TRACK. MOREOVER, I THINK PPL TEND TO TURN TO MUSIC A LOT OF TIMES FOR SALVATION, AN ESCAPE, A RELEASE, CATHARCISM, ETC. SO I LIKED THE IMAGERY OF TORCHES OR LIGHTS OR FIRE AND HAVING AN ARMY HOLDING THEM, KILLING THE DARKNESS WITH AN ARMY OFLIGHT. I LIKED THAT POWERFUL IMAGERY. Q. ?Myrki Heima?by Oliver Englafjord is an album like no other. Its metamorphosed from late-night sonic-sketching, through YouTube beta testing on to an alias-donned/ fully-fleshed 13-track body of work? 3 years in process, ?Myrki Heima?s epic passage to album-hood culminates this July. The by-chance brainchild of Sweden?s Marcus Schรถssow, ?Myrki?s embryonic moment occurred in Iceland, a half decade ago. Blinking ?Oliver Englafjord?into existence, it was a trip for Schรถssow that went far beyond the bounds of the merely inspirational. A citizen of an unidentified Nordic city, Oliver?s life musings visually push through the fourth wall of ?Myrki Heima?s music. Across a series of 5-minute accompanying film shorts, sound-tracked by the album?s audio, Englafjord half-ponders/ half-narrates his life, the universe & everything. The meanings of Oliver words are initially cryptic. Only through the 4 video chapters, framed against the urban, metropolitan and bucolic Nordic locales that accompany ?Myrki?s release, does his story become clear. So take a sizeable leap outside the box, bid ?adieu?to your electronic music contentment zone and enjoy the first galactic single from Englafjord?s upcoming album. This is ?Molntus?(and no, we?ve no idea what that means either).
Explaining the genesis of Oliver Englafjord, Marcus says: ?I started this project to basically learn about new hardware I had, and to explore what happens if I used it to make music that had no rules. At the time I?d been travelling around Iceland and was inspired by its nature and peacefulness. I started to play this material to a friend of mine and he suggested that I should develop it into a full album. I wasn?t so sure, but I uploaded some masked demos to YouTube, for fun and to see what people ? not knowing it was I would say.
Expand your mind t hrough Ol iver Engl af jord's ast onishing 'Myrki Heima' al bum via iTunes here: http:/ / apple.co/ 1I3NKlH
The reactions were overwhelming and it began doing the rounds on the underground blogs and forum boards. So I decided to follow that friend?s suggestion, get on and make this album. It was a natural process, but as a side project, it took 3 years to complete. No deadlines, no pressure, no one knowing what I was working on and as I say, no rules. Heads-up: attempt to categorize ?Myrki Heima?s elecsonics at your peril. No genre slot-ins available; no recognised electronic music categories to ease into. The moment you think you?ve put a pin in ?Myrki?, it?s gonna pop it right back out at you. ?After many years of producing and DJing the music I produce and DJ, it was an amazing freedom and liberation to do this - a sabbatical of a kind?, continues Sch枚ssow ?Deep inside of me, I?ve always been a melodic techno guy, but I?ve always felt that I?d like to go down this path sooner or later. I never expected that instead of finding the path, that path would find me. This alias is all about freehand music with no compromise and I?m beyond excited to embark on this journey with Oliver and see where it takes us all.? The album is in essence ?Sch枚ssow: unbound?, a transcendental, near out-of-body producer experience, which entwines Marcus & ?Oliver?s minds. It?s long-player that has zero to do with classification and everything to do with feel and atmosphere and ether. Downtempo, mid and up, it supplies theatre for the ear and eye, with start-to-finish cinematics and quantum drama, both mellow & melo. Somewhere between high concept and avant-garde/ art-house, between this plane and another, Oliver exists? And so now does ?Myrki Heima?.

Exclusive Interview KANDEYCE JORDEN Director of 'GIRL' Q. There are so many female artists that are making strides in the music industry today. The EDM culture has, in essence, left its mark in the world of music. It is no longer a "trendy" thing to be a part of, but rather a lifestyle. As such, stars are literally being born overnight, what was it that made DJ Sandra Collins different from the rest. Why was she your inspiration? I had heard a lot about Sandra before I had even met her. People would say things like "you?ll never get an interview with her, she?s a rebel, she plays these really long sets and they can?t get her off the decks once she gets going, etc." Crazy stuff that may or may not have been true, but all of it intrigued me. Once I finally met her, I felt an instant bond and a certain familiarity. After she won Best DJ at the Dancestar awards in 2003, I asked her "what makes you such a good DJ?" She couldn?t say why she was good at what she did, but instead invited me to hang out and find out for myself. And so the dance began. Q. How much is needed to raise to have the film completed? 50K
Q. All things being equal, if the funds are made available to you, how much longer do you feel you need to put the final touches on the film. It probably would take 4 ?6 weeks to clear the music and edit our ending title sequence to include
Q. What ?s t he one el ement t hat you hope t he f ans t hat wat ch GIRL t ake away f rom t he f il m. My hope is to inspire in some way or another, any one who watches this film. Q. Twel ve years of your l if e has been spent in t he creat ion of GIRL. So many t hings span t he t est of t ime t hat has l ead you t o t oday. I am sure t hat during t hese past t wel ve years you've t hought ... 'why go on, what dif f erence can I make, can t his movie make it on t he big screen?' but yet here we are t oday; You st rive f orward hoping t hat it wil l f inal l y become a real t y. Why is t his so import ant t o you as a person, as an individual t o see it t il l t he end? There were many months and even years when I would shelve it out of pure frustration of not knowing what the story was and where I was going with it. But in my heart of hearts I always believed in it. So I would go back and continue to work on it. GIRL is a very personal film and it has been important for me to finish for many reasons. The satisfaction of finishing a labor of love project? and that many of the inequalities and biases towards women DJ?s twelve years ago, are still prevailing today. Men get paid more than women, and there are many multi-day festivals around the world where only one or two women are booked to preform, and sometimes none at all. So even though GIRL isn?t a political or activist film, it is definitely part of a very important conversation happening today about equal opportunity and equal compensation for women artists.

KANDEYCE JORDEN Director Q. Name one memorable experience that you can remember during a gig, festival, or event that you had the opportunity to attend? So many good ones, but one of my earliest memories was at a Sasha and Digweed show at the historic Mayan Theater in downtown Los Angeles. They really took me on an amazing journey and I think that?s when I first got hooked. Q. You are t rul y in inspirat ion t o mysel f as a report er. What does it f eel l ike t o be sel ect ed as t he f irst Raver Mag Girl ? Well, this is my first time being selected to be featured in any magazine, so it's pretty amazing in itself but even more so, because this is something that I have a passion Email: Magazineraver@gmail.com for a chance for as well. Not just my modeling, but also my to be the next Raver Mag Girl of the Month raver lifestyle. What does EDM mean t o you and why does l iving a PLUR l if est yl e so import ant ? To me, EDM means music that you can dance to, a type of music that brings all different kinds of people together. When you go to a small rave or a festival, there?s no judgment, just acceptance and love all around. I believe that living the PLUR lifestyle is what we all strive to find in life and in relationships. Peace. Love. Unity. Respect. It's the kind of lifestyle that could make the world a better place. When get t ing ready f or an event or f est ival what f ashion t ips do you have f or ot hers? Honestly, just dress comfortable, but crazy and as many bright colors as you can! Candy bracelets are a must! You can trade bracelets with people from all over the world and it's something you can hold on to and remember some of the best raves or festivals that you've been to and the people that made your experience that much more awesome.
If you can at t end any f est ival which woul d it be and why? It would have to be Tomorrowland
held in Belgium. I've always wanted to travel overseas to Europe and what better way to go than an EDM festival! It's one of the largest held in the world next to EDC Las Vegas. And there are people from all over the world that come to see their favorite DJ?s and rave to their music! What 's your f avorit e genre (el ect ro, t rance, house, dubst ep, t rap, et c.) of EDM and what about t he vibe moves you t he most when raving t o t he music? Oh gosh, I have to pick just one? Haha! I love trance, hardstyle, dubstep, trap, house, and tropical house. Out of those I'd have to say hardstyle, even though I really just want to say it's a tie! But the hard rhythm and vibe makes your heart feel like it?s going to beat out of your chest. It makes you feel like you have to dance. And after all, it is called Electronic DANCE Music.
