RAVISHANKAR R A rchit ect & Designer
I was 17 when i fell in love with Architecture and this relationship still continues. I believe that learning is something an Architect does throughout their entire life. There are many lessons to be learned once the formal Education is completed and Professional Practice has begun. I personally always had a desire to learn, and this passion to learn that continues to help me evolve as an Architect.

RECOMMENDATION LETTER
- Architecture walks
I am delighted to write this letter of recommendation for Mr. Ravi Shankar whom I have known since he was chosen to head “Herkleys Sports Center” at Triple ‘O’ Studio from January 2017. Ravi has been an integral part of our design studio ever since. He constantly finds ways to contribute and make his presence felt at Triple ‘O’. I have had many opportunities to interact with him on a one-on-one basis. I find him meticulous, committed to his work and an inspiration to his colleagues. We have spent several intense weeks brainstorming a unique array of work that we are fortunate to be part of. This includes urban scale projects such as ‘Shimoga river front development - Karnataka, India’ which he is handling with great maturity and sensitivity to context. His understanding of the complex nature of working with the current urban fabric and managing a team to produce the relevant output has been outstanding. Our roads improvement (BRR Roads) project received rave reviews and Ravi’s role in the core design team and his tireless work deserve credit. His experience and attention to detail made him an obvious choice to lead our design team with our clients “QUBE” a provider of end-to-end digital cinema technology and solutions, in designing various concepts for theater design and experiential spaces to take the highest standard of cinema to the length and breadth of our country. I am impressed with his systematic approach to work which stand out in his efficiency and makes him an asset to any design centric studio. Ravi is gifted with digital design and detailing skills. He has shown this time and time again with his contributions in various projects such as the “Imaginarium” - An art installation for the IIA Awards, India as well as “Writers Cafe” - A popular cafe in the heart of the city. His mentorship has been an asset to making “Little Drops” a one lakh sq.feet old age home on the fringes of Chennai one of our largest, eco-friendly projects under construction. Ravi is an excellent team player and his flexible, calm and composed nature make him a pleasure to work with. He is very responsible, organized and tries his best irrespective of the nature of work. Ravi is open-minded and is very comfortable in socializing and interacting across cultures. He is truly a global citizen which will take him a long way in his life and profession. I have no hesitation in recommending him to any institution or organization he may join.
Sincerely,
(Tahaer Zoyab, Co-founder, Triple O Studio

V CELLULIODS CINEMAS -MULTIPLEXThe integrated entertainment complex with a 106-foot 3D screen, which is going to be the largest 3D screen in India (bigger than IMAX screen in Hyderabad). The Hub will comprise a Multiplex housing three theatres, Restaurants, and other amenities. The scope of the project was to design Facde and interior design. Sullurpet is a small town in a vicinity of a highway that connects Chennai to a neighbouring city. The region has three Special Economic Zones including Isro’s world renowned space port, Satish Dhawan Space Centre. The challenge in this project was to transform simple, cheap materials to something that would leave movie goers awestruck.

-Cafeteria-
Writer’s cafe kiosk in collaboration with Higginbothams (who opened Chennai’s first bookstore and India’s oldest bookstore) is located at a perfect intersection of the older Phoenix Marketcity and newly launched Palladium (extension). The kiosk is strategically positioned to grab the eyes of weary shoppers and lift their spirits to soldier onto further shopping arenas.
01
The shell design of the kiosk itself references and draws upon the geometry of the ‘W’ in the logo.Unique patterns, geometric forms and colour of the overall kiosk have been derived from the logo to fortify the concept.

Functionality - For a humble area of 500 sft, the challenge in this project was to ensure the planning has the functional space components of the kiosk chain such as billing, cooking, food and menu display, types of seating, entry and exit points organised in a seamless yet fresh, exciting and practical layout. - The seating was planned keeping in mind the diversity of the crowd that passes through the mall. Leaving no stone unturned, the space lends itself to groups of 2, 4 or more, or even if you simply want a space to youself to peruse one of the books in the cafe. This variation also reflects on the typology of seating in the kiosk- from hopping onto a high seat for the adventurous and untamed, to a cosy sit down cafe experience for the wise and weary.

The main idea behind the Tunga riverfront is to make different sections of the riverfront space responds uniquely to the Gallery / exhibition city just as the river itself varies according to location and topography; creating “multiple destinations”, each rooted in the local and global context of riverfront design. Each destination has something to offer to different kinds of stakeholders in the community of Shimoga; children, young and older adults alike.
