Built on 500,000 square feet of land Palm360 is an iconic two tower development on Palm Jumeirah’s Boardwalk, comprising of a luxury hotel, branded residences and the world’s largest 155m long sky pool connecting the towers 170m above the ground. Palm360 features : - Raffles The Palm Dubai Hotel which offers 125 hotel rooms and suites, high-end fitness and wellbeing facilities, Health Club, and tennis court. - Raffles Residences Palm360 offers 331 units, including 16 penthouses, each with their own private infinity pool, gym, and cinema, 72 one bedroom apartment units, and 180 two bedrooms apartment units, occupying the 18 floors above the hotel. Being part of the team working on a large scale project such as PALM360 was one of the best experiences I had during my work at AE7. My tasks in this project included : - Preparing plan proposals for the BOH area at the podium level using a program that contains the functions of the spaces and their areas. - Working on the elevations, podium plans, rooms types and residential apartments enlargements and key plans, FLS plans, back of house ceiling coordination and drawings, stairs details, and site plan for the project. - Coordinating BOH ceilings with electrical and mechanical teams and preparing RCPs. 9

Deira Waterfront Development Phase I comprises a total of 610,202 square meters of mix-use-development along the Dubai creek. The project consists of 28 plots with their own program-mix and typology. Plots 14 to 19 are located in the South West part of Phase I with an area program of approximately 90.900 square meters GFA.

Plot 16

Plot 16 – mixed use buildings Plot 16 is intended to be a low-rise residential compound made up of 4 blocks A, B, C, and D. Each residential building will have a maximum height of G+4 and a roof with some retails and F&B units on ground floor. I was one of the main team members working on this project from the concept stage till the tender stage. My main task was shell modeling and coordination for the four buildings. My tasks in this project included : - Shell modelling and coordination with structural, electrical, and mechanical teams for four buildings. - Plans, functions, and shafts coordination with structural, mechanical, and electrical teams for two buildings. - Analysing curtain walls types and preparing windows types schedules. - Preparing wall sections and construction details for special elevation elements. - Unifying the relation between different types of apartments and the shell. - Preparing areas calculations including waste management, car parking number, BUA and GFA schedules according to DM regulations. - Preparing elevations and enlarged elevations. - Screens and pergolas modeling and coordination.

Plot 19 – Taj hotel The Taj Deira Creek, scheduled to open in early 2022, will be the fourth property for the Indian hotels company (IHC) in Dubai.

The hotel will feature approximately 200 spacious rooms and suites, a few of which will be cantilevered over the water, with scenic waterfront views. The hotel will also have an all-day dining, specialty restaurants, a bar, lounge and other facilities like banqueting and a spa. I am currently considered as one of the shell modeling team members who are responsible of the coordination between the different disciplines and the modeling of the exterior shell for the hotel project. My tasks in this project included : - Modelling for part of the shell. - Screens and louvers modeling and coordination between the disciplines. - Preparing screens and louvers schedules. - Preparing elevations and enlarged elevations.

03. INNOVATION HUB | MAWSHOUR

14

A futuristic interior design for the ARAB BANK INNOVATION HUB located in the headquarters in Shmaisani, Amman, Jordan. The opportunity to design such an outstanding project was given to MAWSHOUR’s team after winning an architectural design competition held by the client. With a total area of 830m2, comprising an entrance lounge, agora, two offices, two meeting rooms, and a large main hall; this project was creatively designed to motivate extraordinary new ways of thinking and represent the future and growth of the ARAB BANK. The concept consisted of two main circles reflecting each other with contrasted colors, Black & White. The Black Granite was chosen for the main circle flooring to symbolize Power | Elegance | & Formality, while white color reflected Clarity | brilliance | & perfection. In the very center of the hall in front of the large curtain walls viewing Amman; the three gates to the future were placed giving a HINT to the Bank’s Logo and looking through the bright future. The main hall is accessed through the LIGHT GATE which acts as a visual filter preparing users for the unique experience they are going through. The whole project was elevated 30cm on a raising floor so as to hide all the electrical cables and tubes beneath it. 15

The Light Gate and the side of the BluBox

Sliding interactive screens on metal tracks where proposed to get the maximum flexibility of use. These screens can be stored as display screens on the two side walls, stopped in any position in the track to be used as an individual interactive screen or joined in the center to act as a large screen. The small interactive gates included a revolving transparent light board which is used for sharing ideas. The BluBox consisting of wooden frames contained a large interactive table and a transparent interactive screen where users can communicate in an environment that motivates innovative ways of thinking. Raising benches using scissor mechanism where proposed on the Granite circle floor to make the space more functional. The raising benches and behind them the three interactive gates

My tasks in this project included : - Preparing concept ideas and presentation for the competition phase. - Producing several detailed plans, drawings and 3d renderings for different submission stages. - Preparing 3d walkthrough for the final submission stage. - Attended different meetings with the CFO and the engineering department in the bank. - Presented the project for different contracting companies and the Arab Bank engineering department. - Selected materials and furniture options. - Gave site supervision with the design architect during the construction phase of the project. - Was one of the committee members responsible of receiving the project from the contractor and submitting it to the bank.

16

Luxurious finishes where applied for the surfaces such as - Absolute Granite for the main hall’s circle on floor - Infinity stretch ceiling for the ceiling’s white circle - Avonite material for the interactive gates - ARTE wallcoverings for the wallpaper - Interface carpet tiles for the carpet flooring - Walnut wood finish for all wooden walls and surfaces Luxurious furniture where carefully selected from grand furniture brands such as vitra and LAS mobili per ufficio, and several scenarios were designed to give maximum use of the hall.

04. COMMERCIAL CENTER EXTENSION | MAWSHOUR

This project was an extension design for the show room in the ground and mezzanine floor at a commercial center. The space was designed in 2006 to be a double volume cafĂŠ but then the owners turned their mind to reuse it as an extension for the existing showroom. Our concern was blending the new extension with the existing showroom so it appears as one space. A V.I.P zone was added as a glass box with special tiling, lighting and design. Costume made furniture were carefully designed and categorized in a catalogue in order to fit the products they sell. 18

05. FARMS PROJECT | MAWSHOUR

An exterior architectural design for two private farms next to each other. The challenge was to connect the two farms with a wall subject to the Jordanian national building codes which allows only one building on each agricultural land. 19

06. SMALL FARM PROJECT | MAWSHOUR One week design project for a private farm located in Alshooneh, Jordan.

08. SOUL OF NATURE | GRADUATION PROJECT Scan to view a Walkthrough

22

Children nowadays spend most of their time behind screens which reduce their creativity and abilities to communicate; this increased the need to design SOUL OF NATURE which is a child-scaled city where children will learn how to take care of nature in a way that stimulates their curiosity to discovery and exploring leaving to our planet a new generation of responsible, creative and most of all nature reserving men and women. The 25,800 m2 site located in Bader Al-Jadeeda, Amman, Jordan was carefully chosen to be placed in a green area yet near to schools and residential areas.

“Chaos in the world brings uneasiness, but it also allows the opportunity for creativity and growth” The concept was inspired by the NATURAL LAW OF ORDER “ORGANIZED CHAOS” which indicates that all creatures are guided by unwritten laws, which provide guidance and natural order for them. Children need to feel freedom yet they must be protected, controlled, and directed in a way that stimulates their abilities creating a new generation “future men and women” that cares about nature and knows how to protect it. The form appeared as clustered boxes with curved edges so as not to harm kids controlled by a central court with a tree alike vertical circulation core that represent THE SOUL OF THE PROJECT. The core symbolizes sustainability with energy floors, PVC’s, and solar beams that absorbs sunlight in the morning and reflects it in the evening. 23

With a total area of 10,200m2, comprising five masses : 1- The central SOUL OF NATURE vertical circulation element which connects the rest four parts of the project through a ramp covered with UV Filtering Fiberglass panels to protect children from UV rays. 2- The administration three storey mass which contains the main entrance and the lobby. This mass is the only way to get inside and outside the project. 3- The restaurant two storey mass where parents can wait their children and stay near them while having a cup of coffee or a piece of cake and enjoy the beautiful view. 4- The Recycling mass which contains indoor and outdoor recycling labs, workshops, library and a clinic. 5- The Planting mass where children learn various methods of planting such as Aeroponic, Hydroponic and Aquaponic planting. This mass also contains a plants shop where some products made by children are sold. WAY FINDING was applied through - Giving different colors for the masses - Using skylights and dynamic technology on the curtain walls of children’s masses - Placing different functions on different levels SUSTAINABLE materials were used such as - Recycled Rubber as the main building material which is suitable for children and flexible to be formed. - Solar absorbent beams that reflects light at night - Lexan Polycarbonate roof panels which protects children from UV rays in the central court 24

09. MENTAL REHABILITATION CENTER | 4th YEAR

UNIVERSITY PROJECT

A design for a mental rehabilitation center for children that concentrates on teaching them using the five senses and connecting them to nature trying to figure out the strength in each child. The project was expected to be nature friendly, designed with local materials, easy to execute, and affordable. These features were applied through; - Using courtyards, green areas, simple and familiar form - Sensory gardens which concentrates on the senses of children - Using affordable and local building materials such as concrete and plaster The concept was teaching children through their five senses and integrating them with nature and then reflecting what they learnt through a gallery where their works are displayed. 10. PARLIAMENT PROJECT| 3rd YEAR

UNIVERSITY PROJECT

This project is a proposal design for a new parliament building instead of the old one located in AlAbdali. The design concept was to create a new way of thinking by creating an extraordinary design. “WE CAN’T SOLVE PROBLEMS BY USING THE SAME KIND OF THINKING WE USED WHEN WE CREATED THEM” Albert Einstein Random lines formed the masses of our project in order to create a shock to refresh the human brain. An INTERACTIVE WALL at the final point of our journey so people can interact and express their ideas and feelings throughout their experience in the journey.

11. BARCELONA TEMPORARY PAVILION | INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION Scan to view the competition's posters

A design for a pavilion in a very crowded location in Barcelona. The project has a total built up area of 1,100m2 comprising a gallery, public WCs, sitting areas by the seashore, and ramps leading to platforms where people can enjoy the pleasant view of the city and the sea. Objectives - Not blocking the view of the sea - Following the lines of the urban context - Designing an extraordinary eye-catching pavilion - Giving importance to the sea - Interesting exhibition that connects the street with the seafront The concept was to design something revolutionary that represents the development in the economic and architectural fields in Barcelona. Lines were taken from the context to form the project and the location by the sea formed the pavilion using transparent glass that doesn’t block the sea view in a crowded city where communication with nature is needed. The sea is a very important natural element in a stressful city such as Barcelona. We represented this importance in our pavilion by directing the paths towards the seafront and raising the heights of the walls as getting closer to the sea. Lines forming our pavilion where created in a way that connects the square Mirador De Colom with the sea front through interesting exhibitions and paths that gives users an overwhelming experience with the sense of high-tech. 27

12. GREEN MOSQUE | LOCAL COMPETITION Scan to view the competition's posters

I was proud to be one of the team members wining the third place in JOGREEN competition designing a green sustainable mosque in Amman, Jordan. The mosque’s design should be of affordable budget and comprise a part that brings an outcome to the government while keeping a fine and functional form. The project has a total built up area of 650m2 comprising two main masses: - The mosque’s mass, oriented towards "Al-Qibla“, took a rectangular shape to provide a comfortable space for praying. - The residential mass took a “U” shape providing privacy for the houses and creating a semi-court area that can be used for praying in Fridays and when the mosque is crowded. Dealing with the slopped site was obtained by building the project on levels; the basement floor with one side opened to the main street and the other sides buried under the ground comprising commercial shops and a green gym containing electricity generating machines, the ground floor containing the prayer hall and residential house for the Imam. The entrance to the gym and the commercial stores was from the main street while the entrance to the prayer hall was from the secondary backstreet in order to avoid traffic and separate between the prayers and public users. Sustainable approach included environmental, economical, aquatic, social and energy solutions such as; recycling management, sustainable building materials, cars chargers, avoiding site excavation by building on levels, using solar system, rain water harvesting, gray water system, geothermal energy systems, low-e windows, onyx glass, exercising machines that generates electricity, etc. 28
