You should definitely start paying your friend for all their helpful style advice. You’re looking great this week and it’s all because of their expertise. You owe them.

The days are getting shorter and the nights are getting longer. These songs are for the much-anticipated Friday night drive home for the weekend while the sun sets on the Palouse. Night drives have a certain nostalgic vibe about them — the accompanying playlist should, too.
“Chasin’ Echoes” by The Lonely Biscuits
“Way Down We Go” by Kaleo
Lyndsie Kiebert Rawr
This eclectic reggae/rap/ blues band may be hard to categorize, but this song falls firmly in to the night drive category. The easygoing lyrics are more spokenword than sung, and the guitar riffs have an almost atmospheric feel about them. This song is delivered with a lot of heart, and if the soulful bridge
Haunting does not even begin to describe this track from up-and-comer Kaleo. With soulful vocals and musical styling comparable to Hoziermeets-Strand of Oaks, this band has just begun to make what is sure to be a big impact on the indie rock scene. “Way Down We Go” builds throughout, and doesn’t disappoint.
“PA Nights” by Mac Miller Call it a guilty pleasure, but Mac Miller’s 2011 album, “Blue Slide Park,” is home to this night drive gem. Unlike Miller’s more popular songs like “Donald Trump,” this track is mellow, meaningful and ideal for driving beneath the street-
lights that pepper the drive home. Give it a chance.
“Switzerland” by Daughter Completely lyric-less and incredibly mesmerizing, this track combines the staple melancholy vibes that define Daughter and throws in some glum accordion for good measure. “Switzerland” would be the ideal background song for a montage of sweet memories.
“Car Radio Drive (mash-up)” by Twenty One Pilots and Halsey Although it can only be found on YouTube, this track is well worth the search. Few things are better than when two songs combine to make one cohesive jam, and in this case, the
result is glorious. TOP’s iconic drum and piano combo is only complimented further by Halsey’s increasingly popular voice, and the result epitomizes what a night-drive tune should be. Lyndsie Kiebert can be reached at arg-arts@uidaho.edu or on Twitter @lyndsie_kiebert

Now, the Promethean Suppressor is more effective, the SMG is back with a vengeance and the Fuel Rod Cannon is a must have in your arsenal. But, as any “Halo” fan knows, the campaign is only half the battle. The game’s legendary multiplayer has been completely reinvented for this game. Now, there’s a new mode called Warzone, which pits two teams of 12 against each other as well as enemy AI plus bosses that can be killed to earn points for either team. This mode is so much fun and matches can go on for indefinite periods of time — one match lasted 25 minutes. The scale of this mode is unbelievable, only helped by the stunning graphics and crystal clear resolution.
There’s also a new Requisition system that earns you points the more kills you get in multiplayer. You can redeem these points for Req packs that reward you with random weapons and armor to be used in Warzone. Even though the randomness of the rewards can be frustrating, the system encourages you to be better to get the rewards and stock up your arsenal. Xbox One owners owe it to themselves to pick up this game. It’s innovative, smooth as butter and the most fun “Halo” has been in years. Star Wars for dummies Opinion
A guide to a galaxy far, far away The first “Star Wars” movie in 10 years, “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” hits theaters in December. For those who aren’t familiar with the legendary space epic, or haven’t seen the films in a couple of years, here’s a spoiler packed guide to all six episodes. “Star Wars: Episode I — The Phantom Menace” Jedi Knights Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi are hired to escort Padme Amidala, Queen of Naboo, off the planet and away from a blockade by the Trade Federation. Their ship is damaged in the escape, so they are forced to land on Tatooine. There, they meet a young slave named Anakin Skywalker, whose master Watto has the parts they need for their ship. However, Watto will only give the parts to the Jedi if Anakin wins a dangerous podrace. Anakin wins the race, the Jedi repair their ship and Qui-Gon takes Anakin with him to train him as a Jedi. Padme receives a message from Naboo trying to lure her back to the planet to kill her. With the help of the Jedi and Naboo forces, Padme overpowers the Trade Federation. Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan fight Sith Lord Darth Maul, who fatally wounds Qui-Gon. However, Obi-Wan manages to kill Maul and promises the dying Qui-Gon that he will train Anakin.
“Star Wars: Episode II — Attack of the Clones” 10 years after Episode I, Obi-Wan and Anakin investigate an assassination attempt on Padme, who now represents Naboo as a senator in the Galactic Republic, by bounty hunter Jango Fett. Obi-Wan goes to Kamino, where he discovers a clone army built specifically for the Jedi, modeled after Fett himself. While pursuing Fett and his son Boba, Obi-Wan is kidnapped by Sith Lord Dooku. Anakin and Padme go to Geonosis to rescue him, but get kidnapped. Mace Windu, Yoda and the Clone Army arrive and a great battle breaks out. Dooku gets away with plans for the Death Star, Chancellor Palpatine oversees the clone army and Anakin and Padme secretly marry.
“Star Wars: Episode III- Revenge of the Sith” While Obi-Wan is sent to assassinate General Greivous, leader of the Droid Armies, Anakin, plagued by visions of the pregnant Padme dying in childbirth, discovers that Palpatine is the Sith Lord Sidious. However, Sidious convinces Anakin to turn to the Dark Side, promising him to keep Padme alive if he does so. Anakin slaughters most of the Jedi and Sidious executes Order 66, forcing the clones to kill the rest of the Jedi, leaving Obi-Wan and Yoda as the only survivors. Sidious frames the Jedi for an attempt on his life and reorganizes the Republic into the Galactic Empire. Obi-Wan and Padme discover Anakin’s treachery and Anakin knocks out Padme before dueling with Obi-Wan. The fight ends when Obi-Wan dismembers Anakin and takes his lightsaber. Padme dies giving birth to

twins, Luke and Leia, who are sent to live on Tatooine and Alderaan, respectively. ObiWan and Yoda go into hiding and Sidious retrieves Anakin, rebuilding him as Darth Vader.

“Star Wars: Episode IV — A New Hope” Leia hides the Empire’s plans for the Death Star in R2-D2 and ejects him on Tatooine, where Luke finds him. The Millennium Falcon is taken aboard the Death Star, and Han and Luke rescue Leia, but Obi-Wan is killed by Vader in the escape. Han, Luke and Leia give the Death Star’s plans to the Rebel Alliance, who organize a force to destroy it. Luke delivers the killing blast and destroys it, while Darth Vader escapes.
“Star Wars: Episode V — The Empire Strikes Back” After the Empire defeats the Rebels on Hoth, Luke goes to Dagobah to train with Yoda. Han and Leia go to Bespin to meet with Han’s old friend Lando Calrissian, who hands them over to Darth Vader. Luke sees visions of them being tortured and goes
to Bespin to rescue them. Han is put in Carbonite and taken by Boba Fett, while Vader fights Luke and cuts his hand off. Vader reveals to Luke that he is Luke’s father before Luke escapes and Leia rescues him, Chewbacca and a reformed Lando.
“Star Wars: Episode VI — Return of the Jedi” Luke and Leia rescue Han from Jabba the Hut’s palace. They then travel to the forest moon of Endor where they win the trust of the native Ewoks. Luke informs Leia that they are twins before he surrenders himself to Vader in order to try to convince him to renounce his evil ways. The Rebels, led by Lando, launch an offensive on the Second Death Star while Luke is forced to fight his father. It’s time for a fall weather wardrobe
Come fall, it can be easy to get into the routine of only wearing sweats on a daily basis and daunting to think about updating your wardrobe. But with a few keys pieces and some ingenuity, looking trendy through fall and into winter is easier than you think. We all want our wardrobes to be up-to-date, but for most students, spending money on new clothes isn’t an option. It’s important not to send all of you summer clothes into hiding just yet. The most important thing to note when updating your wardrobe is that you can keep any piece of clothing in your fall mix if it can be layered to keep you warm. Before you decide to rummage through your closet and drawers, remember that the goal is to spend little and create more. Autumn is the time of the year to get creative. If the vibrant colors of the falling leaves on campus don’t inspire you to change up your wardrobe, then I don’t know what will. Look at any Pinterest board this season and you will most likely find the ultimate lookbook for fall fashion. But, as most of us know, it takes a lot of time and money to create these looks. The idea behind layering your clothes is to achieve the look of time and money — plus, more layers mean more warmth. Every woman needs at least three pieces of outerwear to keep them warm in the fall: a vest, a jacket and a peacoat. Vests are great for days when the sun shines and you need less coverage, jackets are a great casual addition to any outfit and peacoats can be the perfect option for a dressier look. A hairless cat crisis Friday fiction
Lyndsie Kiebert Rawr “Rock, paper, scissors! You ready?” Frankie exclaimed with a goofy grin just as the waiter set down the check. “You’ve got to be kidding me,” I nearly scoffed. Frankie’s pudgy face drooped. He slowly lowered his hands, previously poised for a theoretical battle of inanimate objects, and rested them on the table in front of him. He wasn’t kidding about this pawning-off-thecheck business. I stared at him with defeated eyes, suddenly drained from the evening I’d just endured. Nothing about this had been a good idea. His car had reeked of sour milk and dinner had been full of conversation about clothes for pets (specifically hairless cats, of which he had four). Suddenly, all my tolerance was gone. Frankie needed to not only take the damn check, but he also needed a reality check. But first, you might be wondering how I ended up on a date with this socially inept loser. To answer that, I have to be honest. I am very, very lonely. At 30 years old, it is a surprise when my mother doesn’t call me every other day to see if I have any dates lined up for the weekend. I can’t blame her — she only wants me to be happy and hopefully give her some grandchildren, but I am insanely picky. I once had a relationship end after two years because I could no longer handle my boyfriend’s incessant need to eat almonds. Almonds — after every meal, before breakfast, as a midnight snack. I grew to resent those stupid little nuts with such passion that I broke it off. But now, three years later and at 30 years of age, compromise doesn’t sound so bad. When I decided it was time to try my luck at relationships again, I went out with the one guy in my office that paid any attention to me. When I say attention, I mean that he wrote me small notes with smileys on them and always held the door open for me. (Let’s just say my standards have lowered).
