ALEIX The total athlete Photos: Buenavista Audiovisual Playmaker Agency

Nobody is missing the athletic ability of Aleix Espargaró. Sportsman extremely prepared to physically perform in any sport thanks to his ability to sacrifice, whether on a motorcycle or a bike. The MotoGP rider has prepared this season like never before, with a very high physical requirement and, after the good results achieved in the preseason tests, he reached the first race in Qatar with very good sensations. The new Aprilia RS-GP has shown great reliability and the Aprilia Racing Team Gresini team has shown its improvements since the first race of the world championship. The biggest Espargaró commented a week before the start of the MotoGP World Championship: “We have made a step forward with respect to last year’s Aprilia, the 2018 version gave us some problems; This year’s bike is more competitive. We still have to improve because our rivals at the engine level have made a very important step forward but I think we are ready to fight in the top 10 and from there to grow as last year, in the first 4 races, we lost many points.” The team has very clear objectives and Aleix Espargaró will fight in each race to be among

the top ten and dreams of getting even bigger challenges for the Italian brand: “Obviously, I always have in mind to get the first podium in the history of Aprilia in MotoGP, that’s my wish; but, more than that, fighting in the top 10 of the world championship is our goal and it seems more complicated than getting a podium because with the level of drivers there is a great challenge to be among the top ten, this is the goal of Aprilia.“ The biggest of the Espargaró fulfilled its mission and in the first two races of the MotoGP World Championship finished in the top ten: tenth in Qatar and ninth in Argentina, always going from less to more than the starting position. Aleix Espargaró believes that taking care of the physical form is very important to perform at the maximum in any circuit and, therefore, has also made a step forward with its nutrition and hydration. Even in the shareholding of the company RAW Super Drink: “I am very happy to join the revolution of 100% organic sports drinks. As an athlete it is very important to take care of my hydration and I

think that RAW Super Drink goes a step further in conventional isotonic drinks.“ All this sports program is culminated with a team in which the rider of Granollers is comfortable and can work together towards the same direction. Therefore, the human factor is essential for the proper functioning of the whole: “There are riders who go to the races basically as if they were at work and they have enough left over. On a human level, in Aprilia we are almost like a family and we get along very well; We spend many hours together and I need to feel that my people, do your best for me. So, I think that this year we have made a couple of changes in the team and I am very happy at the human level. On a technical level I have a good team at my disposal and we have a very tight schedule of trips together ahead of us and I think I’m in a good place.“ And with the arrival of his new teammate, Aleix Espargaró is convinced that it will be very beneficial for the Aprilia RS-GP 2019:

7

“My teammate, Andrea Iannone, can especially provide speed. Andrea is a very fast driver, he has shown many podiums when he was in Suzuki and Ducati. Two very good bikes to come to Aprilia, so it will bring us speed and information from other brands; I’m sure it will make my level grow and I can not sleep.“ Finally, one of the great novelties this season will be the application of the Long Lap Penalty in the event that a driver has to give up his position in the event of a penalty: “The Long Lap Penalty seems a great success for me. We all call him Joker colloquially, since it is similar to the Supercross where there is a lap that gets longer, I think it’s a much easier way for the driver and very fun for the people of the house to have to make a much longer curve and lose 2-3 seconds (after trying it in the preseason tests in Qatar), I think it will give a show to the races and for us it will be much easier than raising your hand and letting yourself pass.“ If he is not a MotoGP rider, Aleix Espargaró would

have liked to dedicate himself to cycling: “Yes, I would have liked to be a professional cyclist. The truth is that I have jokingly said many times that I have been a frustrated cyclist, I have not had a cycling interest since I was a child; It’s really been four or five years since I’ve been hooked a lot on the bike and I would like very much tomorrow to be able to try to be even more competitive even if it fits into the world of cycling. I do not have very clear even if mountain bike or road; I like the road a lot but I admit that it is much harder than mountain biking.

10

But I admire all cyclists a lot, I love this sport and I’m only 29 years old, the future will tell to see what happens.“

Good luck Aleix!

The MotoGP rider recently fulfilled one of his dreams, participating in the Cape Epic. Considered the most important mountain bike race in the world, the RAW Super Drink athlete paired with Ibon Zugasti and for a total of 8 days, 624 kilometers and 16,650 meters of positive elevation, he exceeded his participation; always among the 30 best couples of the race, they finished in the 28th position of 247 pairs in the Elite category (29th position out of a total of 597 pairs in the sum of all the categories). Objective fulfilled for Aleix Espargarรณ who thought before the race that

pair formed by the Swiss Nino Schurter and Lars Forster.

The hardness of the stages put the MotoGP rider to the test, but his physical form was always above the circumstances. Aleix Espargaró stressed that constantly hydrating was also a key factor in keeping pace. Espargaró and Zugasti finished the Cape Epic 2019 with a total time of 29 hours and 54 minutes, at an average of 21.06 km / h. 3 hours and 44 minutes of the champions of this edition, the

HOUSE

Passivhaus Save energy

Passivhaus, or passive house, is a construction standard that was born in Germany in 1991 and has spread throughout the rest of the world. It combines a high interior comfort with a very low energy consumption and an affordable price, thanks to the maximum care of the building envelope and a controlled ventilation system. The passive building is the one that saves energy. Given the scarcity of resources globally, it is worth discovering the principles of this international standard. Passivhaus buildings reduce heating and cooling requirements by 75%. The little supplementary energy that they require can be easily covered from renewable energies, becoming a construction with a very low energy cost for the owner and the planet. This standard does not imply the use of a specific type of product, material or architectural style, but the optimization of existing resources through

passive techniques, such as a good form factor, which reduces the area in contact with the exterior to reduce the needs of air conditioning, a correct orientation of the windows to take advantage of the heat of the sun when they are closed and the natural ventilation when opening them, or to put solar protections that prevent overheating in summer.

GOAL FULFILLED

Marina García Spanish Champion Open 2019 CN Sabadell

Recently, Marina Garcia qualified for the Gwangju World Championships (South Korea) by winning the final of the 200 breaststroke of the Spanish Championships with a time of 2: 25.35. The Catalan dominated the race from start to finish and finished first ahead of Fanny Lecluyse and the Spanish record holder of the event, Jessica Vall, who was third with a time of 2: 28.49. The Belgian was the one who started pulling in the start, with Marina Garcia stuck in his wake and Jessica Vall already at the feet of his two rivals. But Garcia took the initiative in the final stretch of the first length to never let go while Vall was descolgándose little by little. Lecluyse did resist the swimmer of the local team. However, Marina tightened in a few last fifty meters to put almost two seconds in the last pool to the Belgian. Garcia exceeded the minimum globalist mark required by the technical committee of the Spanish Swimming Federation. The swimmer of the CN Sabadell is very clear about its objectives for this season: “on a sporting level,

the main thing is to qualify for the Olympic Games next year in Tokyo. So all the competitions prior to 2020 are preparatory for the Olympic qualification. This year there is also the World Cup in Korea, but always thinking that this competition is a step before Tokyo 2020; therefore, I approach it in a very professional way, with the things already done and knowing how to swim my tests technically to be 100% physically the summer of next year. I do not

VOLUME 1

want to distract myself or do anything that goes out of the way we have in mind.“ Marina García focuses her efforts on the breaststroke disciplines 100 and 200 meters, the longest being her favorite: “The goals for the World Cup are to swim 100 and 200 breaststroke. My main options are in the 200 breaststroke since I am better and my desire is to enter the final to be able to fight for the medals. The goal is to go through qualifying to the final.“ After about 10 years in the absolute Spanish National Team and played many world championships, Europeans and participating in the London 2012 Olympic Games; the experience is the most important value that Marina Garcia treasures to face the pre-Olympic year: “I started from very small to compete in world and European, I have had the good fortune to live many things and that is what gives me the preparation to face the This year’s World Cup and the Olympic Games of 2020. In addition, I count in the Sabadell CN with a very good human and technical team; in swimming there is not a single day of rest as that affects the results in the water, it is a very hard and intense sport and that is why we need many people around us that help us to be 100% every day.“ A physical requirement where hydration also plays a fundamental role: “being in the water you can think that you do not get so dehydrated or sweat less, but it is only a sensation since the wear is

52

very great. So my hydration plan is to drink an allday isotonic drink type RAW Super Drink since it is 100% organic and without sugars. I have never been in favor of sugar or energy drinks, I do not believe that I bring anything new to my body, I have done the test and the truth is that it has not made any effect on me; so I’ve always looked for a more ecological type of drink according to my nutritional ideals and that they give me all the amino acids and antioxidants.“ Marina Garcia identifies which are her rivals and, with the permission of the Russian Yulia Efimova, defines what possibilities exist to get a medal: “In 200 breaststroke is Yulia Efimova who has a very high level and is always up, seems to have no rival. But from there there are many squares that are open; the best ranked in the ranking are the Americans, the Spanish Jessica Vall and also the Japanese and Danish. If you have a street in the end, you have an opportunity; the positions have been changing a lot in recent years and that’s why I think that my reality is to be in the best shape when I play and once there I fight to have a street in the final. Then, anything can happen; This is my reality and what I fight for.“

Good luck Marina!

CityPilot Mercedes-Benz

The CityPilot shows how urban public transport will look in the future: it works even more safely, efficiently and comfortably than conventional buses. Connectivity plus camera and radar systems with data fusion are catapulting the city bus into the future.

to be positioned within centimeters. This already works in practice, as demonstrated by the world premiere of the CityPilot on a precise route that covers almost 20 km, with a series of sharp turns, tunnels, numerous bus stops and involving high speeds for an urban bus.

The technology of the CityPilot in the MercedesBenz Future Bus is based on the Mercedes-Benz Actros self-driving truck with Highway Pilot presented in 2014. However, it has undergone significant additional development, specifically for use as an urban bus, with numerous additional functions. The CityPilot can recognize the traffic lights, communicate with them and negotiate safely the unions controlled by them. It can also recognize obstacles, especially pedestrians on the road, and braking autonomously. It automatically approaches the bus stops, where it opens and closes its doors. And not least, it is capable of driving through tunnels.

This semi-automatic urban bus improves efficiency, as its smooth and predictive driving style saves wear and tear, reducing fuel consumption and emissions.

A dozen cameras scan the road and surroundings, while long and short range radar systems constantly monitor the route ahead. Thanks to the fusion of information, all the data received creates an extremely accurate image and allows the bus

Yago Domínguez GETS THE PODIUM IN TA P I A G OA N N A P R O D E S U R F La Liga Iberdrola Fesurfing Tapia de Casariego, Asturias

From April 18 to 20, Tapia de Casariego (Asturias) took part in the 28th edition of Tapia Goanna Pro with the presence of the best surfers in Spain.

The Tapia Goanna Pro met expectations and managed to enjoy the hundreds of fans present in the Asturian town.

More than 200 surfers gathered in this third scoring round for the national circuit of La Liga Iberdrola Fesurfing; among them, the surfer of the team RAW Super Drink, Yago Domínguez.

The competition also honored brothers Peter and Robert Gulley. The Australians arrived 50 years ago to Tapia and are considered the pioneers of surfing on this Asturian coast.

A few days in which the surfers had to squeeze to the maximum to get the pass to the final on Sunday and where the entry of a swell allowed the competitors to give free rein to their best surfing. In the men’s category, the Brazilian Rafa Teixeira got a deserved victory, followed by the canary Luis Diaz. Yago Domínguez would reach the third position of the podium, being a great result for the Donostiarra who agreed for the first time to a final in La Liga. Domínguez would comment after getting on the podium: “I’m happy with my surfing throughout the championship, with two third places in the Under 18 and Open category. Congratulations to all the finalists.“
