BUCKEYE CONNECTS: ADVANCED MANUFACTURING, DISTRIBUTION & LOGISTICS, ENERGY, RETAIL & HEALTHCARE
Get Connected in Buckeye! As the fastest growing City in the U.S. according to the Census Bureaus, we are connecting businesses with their customers locally and regionally. As of January 2020, an average of 2,200 single-family homes came online in the past two years, making our population growth about 8.5 percent annually. This creates a huge opportunity for employers, retailers and developers. Buckeye is 640 square miles, and currently is only five percent built out. So we expect years of steady growth. We are also the western gateway to the Valley of the Sun connecting California with easy access to freeways, rail and airports. Buckeye has extensive land available for development, which is especially well suited for businesses in advanced manufacturing, logistics, distribution and energy. We also offer a growing and talented workforce in a low cost, business friendly environment. A few of our major employers include Palo Verde Nuclear (2,500), Walmart’s Arizona Distribution Center (1,300), Cardinal Glass (400), Clayton Homes (300) and CanAm Steel (120). We offer an excellent quality of life, a variety of housing values, extensive outdoor recreation and a 30-minute drive to unlimited access to entertainment, professional sports, shopping and cultural amenities. The Buckeye City Council and I are committed to ensuring our residents have the best quality of life possible by creating a business friendly environment. Our top priority is bringing in new employment, retail and services to the City. Come see why Buckeye is Connecting businesses to customers - We are open for business! Sincerely,
www.growbuckeye.com

UTILITIES Buckeye relies almost entirely on groundwater and has a 100-year assured water supply for current and future businesses and residents.
Provided by City of Buckeye Water service is provided by the City’s Water Resources Department. Buckeye relies almost entirely on groundwater for
its water sources, with a small allocation of surface water from the Central Arizona Project. The drinking water meets or surpasses all standards set by the Environmental Protection Agency. There are a variety of water sources for irrigation use, including treated effluent, Buckeye Water Conservation District and Roosevelt Irrigation District. Wastewater services are also provided by the City’s Water Resources Department. Treated wastewater, also called effluent, is used for irrigation purposes. The wastewater system is complex, consisting of: • 3 lift stations • 270 miles of sewer lines • 22,835 sewer connections • More than 6400 manholes • Four Water Reclamation Facilities All of this enables over 4 million gallons of water to be treated per day.
Other Utilities APS (Arizona Public Service) is the largest and longest serving electric utility in Arizona and principal subsidiary of publicly-traded S&P 500 member Pinnacle West Capital Corporation. Buckeye’s industry is served by APS, which offers service plans designed specifically to meet business needs based on monthly demand.
