Global Attention to Area

Located in the heart of the Arizona Innovation and Technology Corridor, Coolidge is fast becoming a destination for some of the world’s largest and most innovative companies.

A business-friendly climate, low operating costs, numerous incentives, and thousands of acres of shovel-ready developable land are just a few of the reasons these businesses are choosing Coolidge. These businesses range from renewable energy and advanced manufacturing to heritage industries like agriculture.

By virtue of being located between Arizona’s two largest cities, Coolidge and central Pinal County benefit from the robust transportation and utility infrastructure that connects Phoenix and Tucson. Three international airports are within a short drive meaning that all major U.S. cities and many international destinations are a direct flight away. Interstates 8 and 10 along with Union Pacific Railroad link the region with the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach as well as the remainder of the U.S. allowing for efficient movement of raw and finished products. An abundance of oversized transmission lines for the natural gas, electrical and fiberoptic providers also give Coolidge an advantage when it comes to serving loads of all size.

The advantages that Coolidge has to offer have culminated in announcement that several major employers are setting up shop right here. In 2020 Nextera Energy (NYSE: NEE), the world’s largest producer of solar and wind energy, completed it’s 100 megawatt project that provides power to some of Arizona largest companies and the nearby S-Power 100 megawatt facility is now producing power for Intel’s multi-billion dollar Fab 42 mega-factory. Nikola Motor Company (NASDAQ: NKLA), a manufacturer of hybrid electric-hydrogen trucks, also celebrated a major milestone in 2020 when it began construction of its state-of-the-art advanced manufacturing facility. This campus will ultimately encompass more than one million square feet and employs thousands at wages about the county average.

In addition to new companies locating here, Coolidge also has a number of existing companies and industries making a mark on the global economy. For years Bright International Corporation’s expert research and development team has been producing innovative health and beauty products for some of the biggest names in the industry at their Coolidge Facility. Many may not know that agricultural products grown in an around Coolidge are exported all around the world. These products include high quality cotton for the textile industry and feed products for many overseas countries.

With Pinal County predicted to remain one of the fastest growing counties for years to come, Coolidge is poised to continue attracting world class companies across many industries that will create thousands of job opportunities for the current and future citizens.
