CITY OF GLENDALE PUBLIC FACILITIES, RECREATION & SPECIAL EVENTS DEPARTMENT 5970 W. Brown St., Glendale, AZ 85302 (623) 930.2820 | www.glendaleaz.com

FROM THE DIRECTOR It’s no secret that Arizona is hot in the summer. So, we invite you to survive the heat by enjoying one of our many Parks and Recreation facilities designed to keep you cool. Go indoors and take advantage of the many healthy activities at Foothills Recreation & Aquatics Center or Glendale Adult Center. Picnic at a shaded ramada, wade around at one of our splash pads, fish off the dock at Heroes Park Lake, or cool off in the waters of one of our freshly, improved outdoor pools. Perhaps you’ll find yourself walking a trail or through a park early or late in the day to reduce stress and absorb your natural surroundings. Whatever you do, we hope you beat the heat by enjoying many of the parks and recreation opportunities across our system.

Public Facilities, Recreation & Special Events Mission Statement A partnership of employees and community working together to create a better quality of life for Glendale through the provision of excellent parks, recreational programming, special events, tourism, and neighborhood and community facilities.

Have fun in the sun, Glendale!

Respectfully,

James P. Burke
