NAU offers a respected bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education at the Prescott Campus located at Yavapai Community College. This Elementary Education degree can be completed as a schoolbased program, cohort program, or traditional program and includes at least one semester of student teaching. Upon graduation, students are eligible for state certification in Elementary Education for grades 1-8. NAU is the only Arizona university accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).

Now in its ninth academic year, NAU’s Yavapai campus in Prescott Valley offers two leading-edge bachelor’s degrees and one master’s degree that are focused on developing skills for today’s job market.
Bachelor’s degrees are delivered in a 90/30 format, where students transfer up to 90 credits and take the remaining 30 credits in their specified degree field. With a blended curriculum (in class and online), students can continue to work or tend to other obligations while earning their degree. Each class meets one evening per week in 8-week blocks, and students typically take six credits per session.
Our graduates are starting their own businesses, landing great jobs, and being admitted to prestigious graduate schools domestically and abroad. NAU’s Prescott Valley campus offers unprecedented value in Yavapai County, with both bachelor’s and master’s degrees opportunities.

Housing Yavapai College’s trade and technical programs, CTEC is a state-of-the-art facility accommodating programs and equipment that provide students handson training in the technical trades, as well as preparation for entering technicallyinclined, four-year degree programs. Located near the Prescott Airport, the 108,000 sq. ft. building sits on an eightacre site.

Mountain Institute provides enhanced Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses for students within seven individual school districts (Western Yavapai County): Ash Fork, Bagdad, Chino Valley, Humboldt, Mayer, Prescott and Seligman. These districts have access to additional funding as part of the JTED. This funding provides students access from all districts to Career and Technical Education courses that is significantly greater than any individual district can provide. Their course offerings include: Aviation Technology, Culinary Arts, Drafting and Design, Electrical Line Worker, Medical Assisting Services, Nursing Services, Pre-Engineering/Robotics, Sports Medicine, Automotive Repair Technician, Automotive Body and Paint, Welding Technologies, Construction Trades, Business Management and Administration Services, Professional Sales and Marketing, Networking Technologies, Bio Science, Film and Television, Agriculture Education. Charter school and home school students are also encouraged to participate in JTED programs.
