Proposed site Landscape design
The landscape design phase, involved taking into consideration things like walking patterns, routes, points of interest from the area, local climate and providing a solution that will blend the proposed building into it’s natural surroundings.
Building Placement & Concept The main building concept, came from the idea to connect the two major walking areas with a curved walking route that will offer stunning perspectives of the natural surroundings. The curved route, dictated the need to create a circular type building, and thus the idea of a snail shell like structure appeared. The building placement was set based on the following key aspects: it shouldn’t disrupt the natural walking pattern, it should offer a good focal point when viewed from a far, it shouldn’t be placed next to the sport courts due to noise pollution or the creek due to potential danger that children may face and it also should have easy car access to minimize the impact of greenery.
