Biochemicals and Biofuels • New solvents for low temperature, short-duration processes for dissolving lignin and deconstructing biomass. • Innovative systems for chemical production from biomass — for example, lignin to nylon. Featured sessions included pulp and paper manufacturing efficiencies; innovation tools in pulp and paper products; new biochemicals and biomaterials derived from forest products; and the future of cellulosic nanomaterials.
