Luzerne offers two year associate’s degrees. Upon graduation many students begin their careers. But what if you want to continue your education to earn a four-year bachelor, masters, or even your Ph.D.? Luzerne County Community College is accredited by Middle States Commission on Higher Education which means the credits that you earn at LCCC transfer to colleges and universities across the nation. To make that transition even easier, Luzerne has developed specific agreements with many other colleges and universities.
Dual Admission Agreements Students who participate in this program are considered fully admitted to LCCC and the institution they want to transfer to. While at LCCC, students are expected to meet all the required college or university conditions. Students may benefit from additional financial incentives depending on the dual admission institution including fee waivers, scholarships, and access to resources at both institutions. For more information on transferring credits and degrees from LCCC visit: www.luzerne.edu/supportservices/ transfer.jsp or scan the QR code below with your smartphone.
Luzerne County Community College is a smart investment. And when you consider LCCC’s low tuition — especially compared to four-year public and private colleges — the extra incentive of financial aid makes college even more accessible. LCCC costs 50 - 75% less than other schools. That’s because the College is subsidized by Luzerne County and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to make your education more attainable and affordable. Many of our students receive some form of financial aid in addition to our low tuition. Besides the federal and state aid that we can help you obtain, generous supporters through our Foundation have made it possible to offer more than $225,000 each year in scholarships to Luzerne students in need. This allows many of our students to graduate from Luzerne debt-free. That’s a great way to start your new life or career.
