Luzerne offers two year Associate’s degrees. Many students begin their careers shortly after. But what if you want to continue your education to earn a four-year bachelor, masters, or even your Ph.D.? Luzerne County Community College is accredited by Middle States Commission on Higher Education which means the credits that you earn at LCCC transfer to colleges and universities across the nation. To make that transition even easier, Luzerne developed specific agreements with many other colleges and universities.

Dual Admission Agreements Students who participate in this program are considered fully admitted to LCCC and the institution they want to transfer to, with the expectations of meeting all required university conditions. Students may benefit from additional financial incentives depending on the dual admission institution, fee waives, scholarships, and access to resources at both institutions.

For more information on transferring credits and degrees from LCCC visit: www.luzerne.edu/supportservices/ transfer.jsp or scan the QR code below with your smartphone.

Luzerne County Community College is a smart investment. And when you consider Luzerne’s low tuition — especially compared to fouryear public and private colleges — the extra incentive of financial aid makes college even more accessible. LCCC is 50 - 75% less cost than other schools. That’s because the College is subsidized by Luzerne County and the state of Pennsylvania to make college more accessible and affordable. Many of our students receive some form of financial aid in addition to our low tuition. Besides the federal and state aid that we can help you obtain, generous supporters through our Foundation have made it possible to offer more than $225,000 each year in scholarships to Luzerne students in need. This allows many of our students to graduate from Luzerne debt-free — a great way to start your new life.
