• Afternoon: ACTIONS – Define results to be achieved (plenary) – Split to 4 working groups: define actions
• Outputs: – Problem tree (threats) – List of actions
Problem tree
Level 1: Mechanism through which the threats operate Level 2: Specific threats Level 3: Immediate causes of threats Level 4: Root causes of threats
After the conference • Communication in the EIE email list Subscribe if not a member! (write Andras) • MME will communicate with the EC through BirdLife International about possibilities (hopefully we will be contracted by EC/BirdLife) • National coordinators should be named (one person/country who collect and summarize data from all relevant national experts) • Tables and maps will be sent to fill in the national data • First version of the plan will be sent in 2014
Threats Importance: • Critical: Causing or likely to cause very rapid declines (>30% over 10 years) • High: Causing or likely to cause rapid declines (20-30% over 10 years) • Medium: Causing or likely to cause relatively slow, but significant, declines (10-20% over 10 years) • Low: Causing or likely to cause fluctuations • Local: Causing or likely to cause negligible declines • Unknown: Factor likely to affect the species but unknown to what extent
