I had no sex education and all my sexual knowledge came from Japanese adult films. What did it all start with? For me, it started with a lie from my mother. When I was a child, I asked my mom, "Mum, how did I come into this world?" she hesitated for a moment and said, "My father and I picked you up from the rubbish." That was the end of the conversation.

I found Doll Birth of Australian artist Tracey Moffatt in the Tate archives, a photo-lithograph depicts two young boys mimicking the birth of a child. The boy on the left gazes almost sadly towards the viewer while holding a naked doll between the other boy's legs. This second boy assumes a birthing position and appears to 'push' as if in childbirth, his eyes closed and his expression strained. The caption accompanying the photograph explains: 'His mother caught him giving birth to a doll. from playing with the boy next door again.' The image thus addresses the theme of gender identity and the potential anxieties surrounding it, and its high vantage point suggests that the viewer occupies the position of the mother looking down on the two children. Parents’ obstructive attitude towards children’s exploration of sex reminds me of my own parents’ attitude towards me. In my conversations with friends around me, I found that many Chinese parents don’t care about their children’s sex education at all. They make up stories to prevaricate Children's exploration of sexuality. They make up stories to prevaricate Children's exploration of sexuality. So I put the starting point in the stories about the way of birth that parents made up in the background of oriental culture. So my theme is similar to tracey moffat's photo-lithograph.

Dear Mama and Papa.

There are many memories of my childhood that I can't remember clearly, but there is such a thing that I can often recall.

I asked you how I came to this world, and mom hesitated for a while and told me that I was picked up from the garbage dump.

It took root in me, and mom said that she will threw me back in the trash when I was naughty, which made me very afraid of being abandoned for a long time. This is a work dedicated to you, and those parents who choose to lie and cheat when their children are full of curiosity and ask about their origin.

All the best, Your son

My mom lied to me about how I came to this world

My mother also made up a whole series of stories, such as pointing out to me that she "picked you up right here" when I walked past the rubbish, and "if you don't behave, I'll throw you back in the dump" when I didn't behave. These stories made me believe that I was picked from garbage for a long time. When I first learned about the physical differences between boys and girls, I asked my mother the question, "How did I get into this world?" After some hesitation, my mother told me, "One night she and my father were walking in the park when they faintly heard the sound of a baby crying intermittently. In the midst of my mother's lies, my first attempts at sex were cut short.

Parents are always hesitant to talk about how we came to this world.

the first step in our exploration of sexual knowledge.

Parents and schools should take responsibility for their children's sex education, yet it is frustrating that as a child growing up in China, I and my peers around me received little to no sex education.

Mothers and fathers shied away from talking about sex, and the government's push for sex education ended with schools withdrawing sex education textbooks because of parental opposition. Conservative parents have become the biggest barrier to children learning about sex.

According to a report provided to the World Health Organization by Professor Xiang Ming of China Agricultural University.

9.5% of Chinese girls and 8% of Chinese boys have experienced some form of adult sexual abuse, which means that approximately one in ten minors has faced sexual abuse.

This data reveals a problem that has to be faced: there is no sex education in China.
