PACE OF PLAY

Excellent pace of play has always been a cornerstone of the golf experience at Riverton Country Club. Our members and their guests have come to enjoy the normal 3 hour and 50-minute pace of play. To help us continue to manage and improve upon this integral part of the experience, RCC is happy to announce that we have recently installed a new pace of play management system

called Fairway IQ. Fairway IQ will give us a real-time, birds-eye view of where everyone is on the golf course, what their pace of play is, and how their pace of play is impacting the experience of others on the course.

Fairway IQ will give us actionable data to help improve your golf experience and help you achieve 3 hour and 50-minute rounds on a regular basis. With this improved data, we updated our Pace of Play policy and are holding our golfers accountable to the 3 hour and 50-minute pace of play. If a group fails to hold their position on the course by losing more than one clear hole to the group in front of them, the group following has the right to play through and the slow group should invite the faster group to do so. If the slow group does not invite the group behind to play through, the faster group should contact the golf shop.

Pace of Play Policy

• All rounds of golf expected to be played in 3 hours and 50 minutes or less. We will be using the Fairway IQ system to track pace of play and help each group achieve this goal. • If your group is falling behind the pace of play target, a member of the Golf Staff will come out to speak with you and help you get into the proper position. Please adhere to all request of the Golf Staff. o Remedies that the Golf Staff may ask of you include improving your pace, letting another group play through, or skipping a hole. • Habitual slow players will be penalized and will have access to the course limited or revoked Those exceeding the required pace of play by greater than 15 minutes will be subject to the following actions. o 1st Offense: Informal mail informing you of your slow play and written request to be conscious of your pace and how it impacts others. You will be reminded of further disciplinary action at this time. o 2nd Offense: Written warning letter from the club Disciplinary Committee. If you violate the club’s pace of play policy again you will lose access to the golf course prior to 2:00 p.m. for two weeks. o 3rd Offense: Golf access restricted to after 2:00 p.m. for two weeks. o 4th Offense: Golf access will be suspended for two weeks. o 5th Offense: Disciplinary Committee will discuss appropriate further action. o May 1 Implementation Date: To help our members and their guests become accustomed to the new pace of play program, we will be using the month of April as a warning only introductory period. Anyone playing in greater than 3 hours and 50 minutes will receive an email informing them of their pace of play. Disciplinary actions will not begin to take place until May 1, 2021. • If you are waiting on the group ahead of you and your pace comes in over the allocated pace of play, you will not be penalized. Fairway IQ tracks the number of minutes that you waited on the group ahead and groups that are waiting and forced slow will not be penalized.
