VACANCY ADVERT (permanent/full time) ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT The above post has arisen in the RCCG Scotland Regional Office Livingston The Accounts assistant is responsible for providing professional book keeping and accounts support to the Regional office. Main Duties 1. Accounts Payable and receivable – banking and attendant record keeping 2. Financial correspondence management; attend to all letters/invoices daily as they come, maintain excellent filing system. 3. Update income and expenses on finance software promptly 4. Prepare yearly management accounts for and as required by accountants 5. Prepare and manage budgets 6. Collate parish contributions as WEM, COF and attendant paper work 7. Process all card donations and follow up on declined cards 8. Update record of all approved contractors and tradesmen used by Organisation 9. Manage the Asset register and update accordingly. 10. Weekly or monthly perform account reconciliation using bank statement and query anything unexplained. Also manage relationships as necessary 11. Generate monthly sales invoices to customers/parishes as necessary 12. Follow up on payments or outstanding debts with customers/parishes. Responsible to: Administrator Requirements: • Minimum qualification – Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related finance degree • Minimum 2 years administrative / team support experience in a corporate office environment Complex use of Microsoft Office package including Excel • Strong level of numeracy and analytical thinking required, in order to use initiative to support ministry team and manage relationships as required. • Ability to quickly learn unfamiliar systems, as role will require use of a bespoke software system • Capable of working independently and as part of a collegial team to achieve results. • It is an occupational requirement that the post-holder is a practising Christian whose lifestyle is in keeping with the generally accepted Christian beliefs as contained in the RCCG fundamental beliefs. REMUNERATION & WORK ENVIRONMENT Competitive salary – will be discussed with shortlisted candidates.
