Collingwood Days 2020 by Andrea Berneckas In this year of seismic changes, it’s nice to have some sense of continuity and familiarity – maybe even a bit of fun. Keeping that in mind, Collingwood Days festival is rescheduled to take place during the month of August, both online and in-community. The theme of this year’s festival is Sustainability and Our Connection to Nature, and never has it been so important for us to renew our relationship with our environment. The therapeutic benefits of spending time in nature cannot be underestimated – from walking through our parks and greenways, to growing vegetables and listening to birdsong. While we are adjusting to a new reality, we are also adjusting to living at a slower pace, enjoying summer in Vancouver and, perhaps, learning to appreciate what is right before us. This year’s festival will be comprised of quieter, smaller events around the neighbourhood.
