Local charity provides Christmas hampers for 700 families
As many families face increasing financial needs this season, CityReach Care Society is stepping in to help.

According to Food Banks Canada, more people are accessing food banks now than ever in our nation’s history. Of the estimated 5.8 million people facing poverty and food insecurity in Canada, more than 1 million of them are children.
Located in Renfrew-Collingwood near Slocan and Broadway, CityReach Care Society is a charity that provides 1,000 food hampers every week to local seniors and families, alongside meaningful events throughout the year.
With many families struggling due to rising food prices and inflation rates, the society reached out
