Fans...

On behalf of the students, faculty, and staff of Rochester Community and Technical College (RCTC), welcome to our campus and to another exciting year of Yellowjacket sports. As the Interim President of this great institution, I am excited for what the new academic year holds for our student-athletes, both on and off the field. RCTC strives to maintain an outstanding athletic program, which includes setting examples of good sportsmanship and providing personal growth opportunities for our studentathletes through both academic performance and team experiences. This is accomplished by living our values of being learner-centered and valuing excellence, respect, teamwork, innovation and, along the way, a little fun. In addition to our athletic programs, student-athletes on our campus may choose from a variety of other student life activities that make life-long connections and develop leadership and other life skills. So while on our campus, feel free to tour the entire campus and check out what opportunities await you at RCTC. You’ll be amazed at what you’ll find.

2016 SOCCER SEASON PROGRAM

YELLOWJACKET SOCCER STAFF Deb Hare – Head Coach for the Women’s Soccer Team, started the program in 1998 and has posted a 204-84-12 record. She was awarded the honor of the Sixth Winningest Coach in NJCAA Women’s Soccer among the active coaches. The team has won the Region XIII Championship every season from 1999-2013 and has been in the Region Championship every year since 1999. The team has been ranked in the top ten nationally from 2002-2014. The soccer program has produced numerous All-Americans. Prior to starting the program here at Rochester, Coach Hare was an assistant coach for the Winona State University’s women’s soccer program for two seasons. During her college career she played goalkeeper for three years at High Point University in North Carolina and her senior year at Winona State University. Deb earned Freshman of the Year, First Team All-Region, All District, and All-American at High Point University. She made First Team AllConference and All-Region honors at Winona State while also being ranked among the top ten goalkeepers in the nation all four years of her college career. She has also been inducted into the NCHSSA and Sanderson Hall of Fame for allowing the least amount of goals in a season. She still has the national record for lowest average for goals allowed in a high school season. Coach Hare is also on the coaching staff for the Minnesota Olympic Development Program for Women’s Soccer. Rachel Tackmann – Assistant Coach for the women’s soccer team, began her position in 2013. Prior to this experience, she worked hard to improve not only her own skills but those of others as well. Coach Tackmann’s soccer career took off in the small town of Lake City, MN. Starting varsity when she was only in seventh grade, she earned many awards including most valuable player, best offensive player, and all conference. After high school she attended RCTC, where she played soccer for Coach Hare. After playing two seasons at RCTC, she attended Saint Mary’s University of MN, where she played soccer for one year. After her semester at Saint Mary’s, Coach Tackmann began to travel and was given the opportunity to play in both a Costa Rican league as well as a Romanian League. During her time in Romania, she met and was trained by the head women’s soccer coach of Romania. Recently, Coach Tackmann has developed and run her own soccer camps. Her main focus was placed on creating soccer opportunities for children where programs were not being offered. She plans on continuing her work in order to help local towns build soccer programs that will help children improve their soccer skills. This is Coach Tackmann’s third year as assistant soccer coach; she hopes to help the team expand its talent with the anticipation of a great season. — Page 2 —
