On behalf of the students, faculty, and staff of Rochester Community and Technical College (RCTC), welcome to our campus and to another exciting year of Yellowjacket sports. As the Interim President of this great institution, I am excited for what the new academic year holds for our student-athletes, both on and off the mats. RCTC strives to maintain an outstanding athletic program, which includes setting examples of good sportsmanship and providing personal growth opportunities for our student-athletes through both academic performance and team experiences. This is accomplished by living our values of being learner-centered and valuing excellence, respect, teamwork, innovation and, along the way, a little fun.

2016-17 WRESTLING SEASON PROGRAM

YELLOWJACKET WRESTLING STAFF Randy Rager – Head Coach is still the all-time winningest wrestler in NCAA DII History with 162 collegiate wins while wrestling for the University of MinnesotaMorris in the late 90's. He was a three-time Academic All-American and two-time MVP for the U of M Morris. Randy completed his undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota-Morris and has completed two Master's Degrees from St. Cloud State University. Rager was an assistant coach at SCSU from 2001-2004 and has been very involved in USA Wrestling Clubs since 2000. In his time at RCTC, Rager has coached two NJCAA National Champions, 12 NJCAA All-Americans, 61 NJCAA National Qualifiers, and several Academic All-Americans. In 2014, Rager coached the RCTC Yellowjackets to a NJCAA D-III National Championship, and was voted as the Coach of the Year. The Yellowjackets were MCAC Champions in 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016.

Coach Duane Richardson is in his first year with RCTC. Richardson comes to RCTC from Upper Iowa University. While at UIU, Richardson was a team captain and starter. In 2016, Richardson served as an assistant wrestling coach for the UIU Peacocks. Coach Eric Fiedler is in his first year with RCTC. Fiedler wrestled at Ridgewater Community College. After Ridgewater, Fiedler served in the Navy for four years. He then completed a degree in Medical Laboratory Science through St. Cloud State University and currently works at Mayo Clinic. Coach Shane McQuade is in his first year with RCTC. McQuade began his college wrestling career at St. Cloud State University, where he was a starter. After SCSU, he wrestled for the University of Wisconsin Badgers. McQuade graduated from UW-Madison with a degree in Nursing. Currently he works for the Mayo Clinic at the University of WI. From UW he earned a degree in Nursing. Currently he works for the Mayo Clinic.

YELLOWJACKET WRESTLERS Logan Axford is from Tracy, MN. While in high school, Logan was a Minnesota State Runner-up and three-time State Place winner. His family includes his parents, Jason and Angie; along with his siblings Austin and Anthony. His major is Automotive Mechanics. Logan’s favorite movie is 8 Seconds and his favorite food is tacos. Logan came to RCTC because of the Auto and Wrestling programs. Kiyanu Baker is from Coon Rapids, MN. While in high school, Kiyanu was a two-time Minnesota State entrant. His family includes his parents Jenifer and Tamel Quinn, four brothers, and three sisters. Kiyanu’s major is engineering. His favorite food are mangos, and his favorite movie is The Matrix. Michael Bothwell is from Coon Rapids, MN. While in high school, Michael placed at the Minnesota State Tournament. His family includes his parents, Brenda and Mike, along with six siblings. His major at RCTC is engineering. His favorite food is spaghetti and his favorite movie is Rocky. Michael came to RCTC because he feels that it is a good fit. Brett Bradford is from Byron, MN. Brett was a MCAC Champion at 157 lbs. in 2016. His family includes his parents, Scott and Tiffany, two younger sisters, and one younger brother. His major at RCTC is Chemical Dependency Counseling. In 2016, he was on the Dean's List. His favorite movie is God’s Not Dead. His favorite sports team is the Minnesota Vikings. His favorite food is pork sisig. His special talent is skateboarding. He came to RCTC because it is close to home and he likes the wrestling coach. Isaac Breuer is from Plainview, MN. While in high school, Isaac placed at the Minnesota State Tournament. His family includes his parents, Jeff and Paula; and his brothers Elijah and Jake. Isaac is in the Building Utilities Mechanic Program at RCTC. His favorite food is cheeseburgers, and favorite movie is 8 Seconds. Isaac came to RCTC because it is close to home and affordable. — Page 2 —

Skyler Castilleja is from Sioux Falls, SD. Skyler placed third at the South Dakota State Wrestling Tournament. His parents are Dan Castilleja and Bobbie Perdue. His favorite movie is Scary Movie (The Beginning). His favorite sports team is the Seattle Seahawks. His favorite food is pasta. Alfred Daniel is from Manhattan, NY and wrestled for St. Benedict’s Prep in New Jersey. In high school, Alfred was a Prep All-American. His family includes his parents, Dennis and Mariatu, and he has one sister and one brother. Alfred is currently undecided on a major. His favorite movie is Rush Hour 3 and he enjoys all types of food. Alfred came to RCTC because he knows that the wrestling program will help him with his academics and wrestling skills. Seth Donkers is from Kenyon, MN and wrestled for KenyonWanamingo. In high school, Seth was a Minnesota State entrant. His family includes his parents, Tim and Lisa, along with two sisters, Brooke and Tiffany. Seth is in the Automotive Mechanics Program at RCTC. His favorite food is steak and his favorite movie is Gran Torino. He came to RCTC because it is close to home and the College has his program. Austen Hakes is from River Falls, WI. In high school, Austen was a Wisconsin State place winner. His family includes his mom Nora and four siblings. Austen is undecided on a major. His favorite food is pizza and favorite movie is The Impossible. Austen came to RCTC to complete his generals and see what college life was like. Jesse Hanson is from Rochester, MN, and wrestled at John Marshall High School. His family includes his parents, Sharon and Thomas, and his brother. Jesse is currently undecided on his major. His favorite movie is Interstellar and his favorite food is steak. Jesse came to RCTC because it is close to home.


2016-17 WRESTLING SEASON PROGRAM Mason Hawkins is from Farmington, MN. While in high school, Mason was a Minnesota State entrant and Asics AllAmerican. His family includes his parents, Robert and Jennifer, and siblings Nick and Keyaira. Mason is a Law Enforcement major. His favorite food is Chipotle and favorite movie is Pulp Fiction. Mason came to RCTC because of its good wrestling program and academics. Aaron Jennings is from Dodge Center, MN. While in high school, Aaron was a three sport athlete lettering in football, wrestling, and baseball. His family includes his parents, Jason and Darlene, and his two brothers. Aaron’s major is Surgical Technology. His favorite movie is South Paw and his favorite food is spaghetti. Aaron came to RCTC because it has his program and is very affordable. Ryan Jones is from St. Michael, MN. Ryan was a MCAC Champion at 197 lbs. in 2016. His family includes his parents, Chyrl and Richard, along with his sister. His major is personal training. His favorite movie is Rocky, and his favorite food is ice cream. Ryan came to RCTC because he needed to find a place to start his wrestling and academic career. Ryan Kottschade is from Plainview, MN. In high school he was a Minnesota State runner-up. His family includes his parents, Paul and Judy, along with five siblings. He is enrolled in the Building Utilities Mechanic Program at RCTC. His favorite movie is Lonesome Dove and his favorite food is steak. Coltan Laganiere is from Dodge Center, MN and wrestled for Kasson-Mantorville. While in high school, Coltan was a two-time Minnesota State Champion and four-time All-State athlete. His parents are Todd and Tammy, and he has a brother Keyan and sister Kiara. His major at RCTC is Liberal Arts. He enjoys fishing and hunting, and his favorite food is tacos. He came to RCTC because he feels it’s a good fit and close to home. Jamin Leduc is from Farmington, MN. In high school he was a two-time Minnesota State Runner-up and four-time state place winner. His family includes his parents Jim and Jackie, along with his sister Lili and their dog. Jamin in enrolled in the Law Enforcement Program at RCTC. His favorite food is ice cream and his favorite movie is Tommy Boy. Dustin Lee is from Oregon, WI. Dustin was an MCAC Champion at 184 lbs. in 2016. His family includes his parents, Brent and Lori, and his sister, Danielle. His major at RCTC is Liberal Arts. His favorite movie is Dazed and Confused. His favorite sports teams are the Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Badgers, and the Milwaukee Brewers. His favorite food is pizza. He came to RCTC because he had seen they had a good wrestling program and has always enjoyed Rochester. Mitchell Long is from Minneapolis, MN and wrestled for Edison High School. While in high school, Mitch was a fivetime letter winner and All-Conference. His family includes his parents, Teresa and Mike, and seven siblings. His major at RCTC is Liberal Arts. His favorite movie is Boondock Saints and favorite food is pizza. Mitch came to RCTC because he will get the opportunity to continue wrestling. Darell Noble is from Cincinnatti, OH and wrestled at Winton Woods High School. His family includes his mom, Kieya, and 10 siblings. His major at RCTC is Sports Management. Darell’s favorite movie is Liar, Liar and his favorite food is “just about anything.” Chase Nottestad is from Westby, WI. Chase was a MCAC Champion at 285 lbs. in 2016. While in high school, Chase was a State Wrestling Champ and Runner-up. His family includes his parents, Todd and Jenny, and his brothers, Austin and Clay. His major at RCTC is Law Enforcement. His favorite movie is Rocky. — Page 3 —

His favorite sports team is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. His favorite food is spaghetti. He came to RCTC to wrestle and for the Law Enforcement Program. Luis Pinto is from Prior Lake, MN. In high school, Luis was a Minnesota State Champion. In 2014, he was a NCWA All-American. His family includes his mom Maria, and two siblings. Luis’ major at RCTC is Nursing. His favorite movie is Toy Story and favorite food is Tamales. Luis came to RCTC because of the wrestling program and coach. Cole Schreder is from St. Cloud, MN and wrestled for St. Cloud Tech. In high school, Cole was a two-time Minnesota State place winner and three-time State entrant. His family includes his parents, Jennifer and Roger, and his brother Zach. Cole’s major at RCTC is Law Enforcement. His favorite food is pizza and his favorite movie is Borat. Cole came to RCTC because it is a place he can be competitive and continue wrestling. Zachary Scott is from Holdingford, MN. Zach was a MCAC Champion at 141 lbs. in 2016. In high school, Zach was a two-time Minnesota State place winner and four-time State entrant. His family includes his parents, Patty Jo and Joel; his sister, Jenna; and his brothers, Trevor, Derek, and Devin. His major at RCTC is Liberal Arts. His favorite movie is Dumb and Dumber. His favorite sports team is the Minnesota Vikings. His favorite food is lasagna. He came to RCTC to continue is academic career and for wrestling. Junior Smith is from Mooseheart, IL. In high school, Junior was a Regional Champ. His family includes his parents, Brenda and Prentiss, along with four siblings. His major is Business Management. His favorite movie is Bad Boys and his favorite food is rice and soup. Junior came to RCTC because it is close to home and a good fit for him. Esteban Teigen is from Ramsey, MN and wrestled for Spectrum High School. In high school, Esteban was a twotime Minnesota State place winner, and three-time State entrant. His family includes his parents, Rishelle and Greg, and he has two siblings. His major at RCTC is Automotive Mechanics. Esteban’s favorite food is pizza and favorite movie is All Marvel. He came to RCTC to continue wrestling and for the Auto Program. Tanner Welsh is from Eyota, MN. In high school, Tanner was a Minnesota State Champion, three-time place winner, and four-time State entrant. His family includes his parents, Tim and Missy, and seven siblings. His major at RCTC is Building Utilities Mechanic. His favorite food is tacos and favorite movie is 8 Seconds. Tanner came to RCTC because it is close to home and it has the program he is interested in. Tere White is from Milwaukee, WI and wrestled at West Allis Central High School. While in high school, Tere was a two-time Wisconsin State place winner. His family includes his parents, Tammy and Tere, along with two sisters and a brother. He is currently undecided on a major. His favorite food is pizza and his favorite movie is The Dark Knight Rises. Tere came to RCTC because he feels it is the best place to help him grow as an individual and wrestler. Tyus White is from Milwaukee, WI and wrestled at West Allis Central High School. While in high school, Tyus was a Wisconsin State Champion and Runner-up. His family includes his parents, Tammy and Tere, along with two sisters and a brother. His major is Law Enforcement. His favorite food is pizza and his favorite movie is The Dark Knight. Tyus came to RCTC because he believes that they will help him get to the level he wants to be.
