2019 SOFTBALL SEASON PROGRAM

YELLOWJACKET SOFTBALL STAFF Cori Ronnenberg – Ronnenberg is entering her second year as head coach. She has a B.S. Degree in Physical Education/Health/DAPE/Art and Recreation Management from Winona State University, where she also played softball. Ronnenberg has many years of coaching experience in softball, powerlifting, basketball, and volleyball. She has taught and coached at Kasson-Mantorville, La Crescent, and Caledonia. She has also coached softball at Winona State University, Winona Middle School, G-E-T, KassonMantorville, and Kenyon-Wanamingo. She was a Youth Sports Summer Director for the YMCA for nine years. She teaches physical education and health at KassonMantorville High School. She has one sister and one brother, four nieces, and two nephews. Jaimi Stejskal – This season will be Stejskal’s first year as assistant coach for the Yellowjackets. A graduate of Macalester College, Stejskal was a starter all four years playing center field and shortstop. She graduated in 1999 with her B.A. in Psychology and Elementary Education. Following graduation, Stejskal was hired as the head assistant coach for her alma mater. After coaching at Macalester for three years, she moved on to become the head softball coach at Viterbo University. After completing the 2006 season, Stejskal left coaching at the college

level and moved back to the Rochester area where she has been actively involved with youth fastpitch for the last 12 years, serving as a member of the RYFSA board of directors, coaching at Rochester Lourdes, and providing pitching lessons for area youth. She currently works at Ironwood Springs Christian Ranch as the Program and Marketing Director and lives in Stewartville with her husband Mark. She has six stepkids, two grandkids, and has two dogs and a cat, each adopted through animal rescue organizations. She is an advocate for inclusivity and rights for individuals with physical and cognitive challenges, and serves on the NAMI of SE MN Board of Directors where she works to eliminate the stigma of mental illness. Erik Averbeck – Coach Averbeck is entering his first year as an assistant at RCTC. Averbeck earned a B.S. in Secondary Math Education degree from Winona State University and has been a math teacher in Lake City, Rochester Lourdes, and Kasson-Mantorville. He coached softball for six years while at Lourdes. He has been playing softball for the past 15 years and still plays many weekends during the summer. Coach Averbeck is also the secretary of the local Eagle's Club. Outside of teaching and softball, Averbeck's hobbies include bowling and shooting pool. He and his wife, Elizabeth, have been married for over three years and have a dog, Ike.

YELLOWJACKET SOFTBALL TEAM Cassie Voth is a sophomore from Goodhue, Minn., and graduate of Goodhue High School. She played outfield last season. Cassie was named to the All-State Academic Softball team. Her parents are Tom and Lyn, and has a brother named Billy, and a sister named Emma. Cassie plans to major in Accounting. Her favorite movie is Deadpool, her favorite team is the Minnesota Twins, her favorite food is cookies and cream ice cream. She came to RCTC because it is less expensive, close to home, and she can play softball. Abigail (Abi) Folkert is a sophomore from Kasson, Minn. She graduated from Kasson-Mantorville High School. Abi played outfield and second base last season, and received second team all-conference. Abi was recognized on the Dean’s List and played in the State Championship in 2015. Her parents are David and Aaron, and she has a younger brother Kameron, and two cats: Tahoe and Oreo. Abi plans to

major in Graphic Design. Her favorite movie is Sandlot, her favorite sports team is the Minnesota Twins, and her favorite food is Chipotle. She came to RCTC because it was close to home. Abby Bauer is a sophomore from Caledonia, Minn and graduated from Caledonia Schools. Abby played shortstop last season and received all-conference. Her parents are Brian and Kim, and has two siblings: Austin and Arick. She is majoring in surgical technology. Her favorite movie is Crazy Rich Asians, and her favorite food is vanilla pudding, and favorite sports team is the Minnesota Lynx. Abby also played for the RCTC Women’s Basketball Team.

Hailee Stock is a freshman from Chatfield, Minn. She graduated from Chatfield High School. Hailee played pitcher, left field, and first base. Some athletic honors are Academic AllConference team, and her high school


ROCHESTER YELLOWJACKETS team was conference champs and sub section champs for four years. Her parents are Mike and Lisa; she has a brother named Bradee. Hailee plans to major in dental hygiene. Her favorite movie is Girls Trip, favorite sports team is the Minnesota Twins, favorite food is a mac and cheese sandwich. She came to RCTC to play softball and save money. MaKenzie Swanson-Larson is a freshman from Stewartville and graduated from Stewartville High School. She played second base and shortstop, and was a two-year varsity starter. She has two siblings: one brother and one sister. MaKenzie plans to major in automotive technician. Her favorite movie is Birdbox, her favorite sports teams are the teams she plays for, and her favorite food is pineapple. MaKenzie came to RCTC to be close to home and join the program she wanted. Amanda Johnson is a freshman from Redwood Falls, Minn. She graduated from Redwood Valley High School. She played second base, third base and catcher, was team captain, and received the coaches’ award. She was student of the month, and received four academic scholarship awards. She has one brother and one sister. She plans on majoring in vet tech. Her favorite movie is Aquaman, and her favorite sports team is the Minnesota lynx, and her favorite food is lasagna. Amanda came to RCTC because she likes the campus and the vet tech program. Mattie Hellerud is a freshman from Lonsdale, Minn. She graduated from TriCity United High School. Mattie played first base, was a four-year letter winner, and received all-conference. Mattie was rookie of the year, a three-year captain, and received the Titan Pride Award. Her parents are Doug and Kim, and her sister is Samantha. Mattie plans to major in psychology. Her favorite movie is The Longest Ride, her favorite sports team is the Minnesota Vikings, and her favorite food is cheeseburgers. She also plays on the RCTC Women’s Basketball Team. Amber Chapel is a freshman from Houston, Minn. She graduated from Houston High School. She played CF and received all-conference 3 years, and Honorable Mention All-State. Her family includes her mother, two sisters, and one brother. Amber plans on majoring in PE/ Health Education. Her favorite movie is Shrek, her favorite sports team is the Minnesota Lynx, and her favorite food is chicken. Amber also played on the RCTC Women’s basketball Team. — Page 3 —

MaKara Fahrenholtz is a freshman from Chatfield, Minn. She graduated from Chatfield High School. MaKara played catcher and first base. She lettered in basketball and golf in high School. Her parents are John and Margo, and her brother is Jose. Makara plans to major in automotive technician. Her favorite movie is She’s the Man, her favorite sports team is the Minnesota Wild, and her favorite food is mac and cheese. She came to RCTC because it was close to home, has a good mechanic program, and its affordable. Katie Pearson is a freshman from Welch, Minn. She graduated from Goodhue High School. Katie played third base, shortstop, and pitcher. She was a four-year letter winner, team captain, all-section and all-conference honorable mention. She graduated with honors and her team was sub-section champs. Her parents are Emmett and Liz, and she has four sisters: Missy, Nikki, Sam, and Laurie. Katie plans to major in nursing. Her favorite movies are the entire Harry Potter series, her favorite sports team is the Minnesota Vikings, and her favorite food is Chipotle. Saara Abdullahi is a freshman from Rochester, Minn. She graduated from Rochester Stem Academy High School. Saara played football and is a competitive fencer. Saara was on the Dean’s List. She has four brothers and one sister. Saara plans to major in biology, society and environment. Her favorite movie is The Black Panther, her favorite sports team is the Minnesota Vikings, and her favorite food is everything but pork. Micayla Biffert is the team manager. She is from Stewartville, Minn., and graduated from Stewartville High School. She is majoring in elementary education. She plays on the RCTC Women’s Soccer Team.
