Coach Weiss

MEET THE YELLOWJACKETS

Coach Hepner

HEAD COACH BRYAN WEISS took over the program during the winter of 2017 and enters his third season this fall. In 2019 the Yellowjackets earned numerous awards: NJCAA National Player of the Week (1), MCAC Elite Team (4), NJCAA All-Region XIII players (6), NJCAA Region 13 All-Tournament players (5), MCAC All-Academic Team (7), MCAC Players of the Week (5), and MCAC Co-Coach of the Year. Coach Weiss has over 20 years of coaching experience, including stints with Judson College and Briar Cliff University. During his last season as the head coach of the Judson College women's soccer team, the Eagles were ranked #4 in the national rankings and qualified for the national tournament. Coach Weiss has served the soccer communities of the Rochester, MN area since 2010, most recently coaching and serving on the board for Southern Minnesota Select Soccer. To add to his Rochester connection, he has coached for Mayo High School, Century High School, Crossroads College, Rochester Youth Soccer Association, and has served on the board of directors for Minnesota's Rochester Sports and the Southern Minnesota Adult Soccer Association. Coach Weiss graduated in 2002 from Briar Cliff University and earned a Master of Sports Science degree in Sports Management from United States Sports Academy in 2008. He resides in Rochester, MN with his wife Kim and their two children, Kaitlyn (18, RCTC women’s soccer player) and Charlie (6). ASSISTANT COACH ALEXA HEPNER joins the RCTC Yellowjackets staff fresh off of a successful playing career at Concordia University, St Paul (NCAA 2) and South Dakota State University (NCAA D1). She was selected to the NSIC AllConference Third Team in her only season at Concordia University. While at South Dakota State University she was selected AllSummit League Second Team, Summit League Defensive Player of the Week, and All-Summit League Freshman Team. In total, she started 77 of 78 games and tallied 6,843 collegiate minutes. Coach Hepner made the move to Rochester in 2020 and is currently playing for Rochester United FC (WPSL) and working as the Marketing Coordinator for Paveman Designs. She also has coaching experience with the Concordia and South Dakota State University camps and YMCA of the Greater Twin Cities. Hepner is from Prior Lake, MN and graduated from Prior Lake High School, where she was a four-year letter winner in soccer, and track & field for the Lakers, and was named 2014 MVP and defender of the year in soccer, rookie of the year her freshman year, and was a 2012 state champion in the 4x200. Hepner graduated from Concordia University, St. Paul with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies in 2020.

Fatima Sanchez Hernandez

JORDAN WEBER is from Oronoco, MN and was the starting goalkeeper for the PIZM Wildcats’ for four years. In 2020 she was selected HVL All-Conference Honorable Mention for her efforts in helping the Wildcats to an 8-4-1 record, including 5 shutouts. After her senior year, she was the starting keeper for the Rochester United FC reserve team. Her favorite soccer memory is making the game-winning save during a shoot-out in the playoffs. She is a fan of Chewy (her pet chinchilla), pineapple pizza, and The Sandlot. SARAH EBIN is from Plainview, MN where she played goalkeeper for Plainview-Elgin-Millville High School. She had an outstanding career in between the pipes for the Bulldogs where she was selected team MVP, Three Rivers Conference All-Conference team twice, and Honorable Mention once. During her senior season, she had the fourth-most saves in the state. She enjoys Hershey’s chocolate, sleeping, and “kind of” speaking Hebrew. FATIMA SANCHEZ HERNANDEZ is from Banning, CA where she played goalkeeper for Banning High School. She started all 15 games in goal for the Yellowjackets in 2019 and was selected as NJCAA All-Region XIII, NJCAA National Athlete of the Week, and MCAC Athlete of the Week, and RCTC Soccer MVP. She finished the NJCAA regular season ranked in the top three nationally for saves (146), shutouts (6), and save percentage (89%). She enjoys powerlifting, One Direction, and anything spicy. Her major at RCTC is Emergency Medical Technology. OLIVIA AMOS is from Plainview, MN where she played defender for Plainview-Elgin-Millville High School. In 2019, she was an important part of the RCTC Yellowjackets defense that had six shut-outs during the regular season, including a 3-0 win at Crown College (NCAA D3). In 2020 she served as a team captain. She’s a fan of Ada Hegerberg, spending time with friends and family, and Grey’s Anatomy. Her major at RCTC is Nursing. ALLISON THOMPSON is from Eyota, MN and played soccer and basketball for Dover-Eyota High School. She will also be playing both sports at RCTC. She was the right defender for an Eagle defense that had six shutout wins in 2020, including a 3-0 victory over KassonMantorville in the second round of the Section 1A Soccer Tournament. She was an Athletic-Academic All-Conference team selection. Allison enjoys skiing, mini Starbursts, and Shark Boy and Lava Girl.

Region XIII, MCAC Athlete of the Week, and 2019 RCTC Defensive Player of the Year. Before RCTC she played for the Albion Hurricanes FC and George Ranch High School. She’s a fan of Alex Morgan, Billie Eilish, and Almond Joys. Her major at RCTC is Graphic Design.

Hailey Mayi

MIA PIERRE is from Rochester, MN where she played center midfield and forward for St. Charles High School. She scored 58 goals for St. Charles High School, including a four-goal game on Senior Night 2020 versus Lake City. The Saints captain and forward was a three-time Three Rivers Conference All-Conference selection. She’s a fan of gyros, Luke Combs, and The Walking Dead. Her major at RCTC is Mortuary Science. ISABELLA ANDRIJASEVIC is from Rochester, MN where she was a standout on both the track & field and soccer teams for John Marshall High School. She adds even more speed to an already quick Yellowjackets team. She is a fan of the Croatia national soccer team, summer, and her dad, Dario, is her favorite soccer player. Her major at RCTC is Nursing. LIBBY JANKA is from Owatonna, MN where she played center defense for Owatonna High School. She was a varsity starter for three years. She was voted Defensive MVP in 2017 and Spirit Award winner in 2019. Her favorite high school moment was preventing a shot from crossing the goal line versus Red Wing. She enjoys Hu Hot, Harry Potter, and Hershey’s bars. Her major at RCTC is Nursing. ELIANA BENTLEY is from Austin, MN where she played forward for Austin High School. She was a captain and MVP of the Packer’s soccer team. In 2020, she was selected to the Big 9 All-Conference team. She’s a fan of Captain America, The Vampire Diaries, and Ghirardelli chocolate. Her major at RCTC is Elementary Education. JISSELLE MAYI is from Houston, TX where she played outside midfield for George Ranch High School. She had a busy freshman season at RCTC. She was selected as the captain of the defense, NJCAA All-

KAITLYN WEISS is from Rochester, MN where she attended John Marshall High School. She was the first verbal commitment of the 2021 class. The Southern Minnesota Select defender brings a lot of club experience to the Yellowjacket defense. She played in many elite tournaments like the USA Cup, College Search Kickoff, and Chicago International College Showcase. She’s a fan of Unstable Unicorns, ziplining, and Haikyu. GRACE MASCHINO is from Delano, MN where she played midfielder for Delano High School. She snagged some interesting awards while playing for the Tigers, including All-Conference honorable mention (twice), Swaggiest Deeks, Top-Newcomer, and Hardest Worker. Her brother, Jeremy, played baseball at RCTC. She enjoys The Office, Punch Pizza, and photography. Her major at RCTC is Nursing. KAYLA BARCLAY is from Franklinton, LA where she played midfielder for Franklinton High School. The Demons captain had a successful high school career including selection as 1st-team All-District (2018) and 2nd-team All-District (2020). She enjoys Sour Patch watermelon candy, fishing, and All American (tv). Her major at RCTC is Nursing. KES WHALEN is from Dubuque, IA where she played goalkeeper and defender for Dubuque High School and Dubuque Soccer Club. She was also captain of the cross country team and qualified for the IWCOA Girls' State Wrestling Championships. Kes has twelve siblings and loves cats, Take 5 candy bars, and writing. AMY GONZALEZ is from Logan, UT where she played defender for Green Canyon High School and Sawtooth United. She enjoys spending her summers playing against WPSL and NCAA D1 players in women's soccer tournaments. She really loves knitting, bird watching, and liveaction role-playing. Her major at RCTC is Veterinary Technician. HAILEY MAYI is from Houston, TX where she played defender for George Ranch High School. She joins her sister, Rae, on the Yellowjackets women’s soccer team. Her goal is to join the U.S. Department of Justice and focus on criminal investigation. She enjoys sushi, Family Guy, and Princess Leia (her dog). Her major at RCTC is Criminal Justice.

AISHA RAMIREZ is from Faribault, MN where she played midfielder for Kenyon-Wanamingo High School. She was a captain for the Cobras and a coach for the second-grade community education team. Her favorite high school highlight was scoring three goals versus Tri-City United. She’s a fan of Pitch Perfect, The Bachelor, and Lionel Messi. Her major at RCTC is Dental Hygiene. ADDISON KNICK is from Big Lake, MN where she played forward for Big Lake High School. She joins RCTC after one season with Montana State University - Billings (NCAA D2). Before that she played for Big Lake High School, where she was 1st Team All-Conference (two seasons) and All-Conference Honorable Mention (three seasons). She was also the leading scorer for the St. Michael-Albertville United team that won a State Championship in 2018. She enjoys pushing herself in the gym, Curious George, and quality burritos. Her major at RCTC is Sports Science. JASMIN WILLETTE is from Claremont, MN where she played outside forward for Triton High School. She was selected for the 2020 Post Bulletin All-Area Girls Soccer Team. Her favorite high school highlight was scoring the game-winning goal versus Schaeffer Academy. She enjoys Cosmic Brownies, Morgan Wallen, and Dumb and Dumber. Her major at RCTC is Dental Hygiene.

MONGI OBANG is from Rochester, MN where she was a standout on both the track & field and soccer teams for Century High School. During her senior season, she had 7 goals and 8 assists earning her a Big 9 All-Conference honorable mention. She is a fan of Lil Baby, Kinder Bueno, and Raya and the Last Dragon. HALEY DOYEA is from Anoka, MN and played center midfielder for Anoka High School, where she led the Tornadoes in assists in 2020. She was selected to the Northwest Suburban Conference AllConference team during her junior and senior years. Her favorite soccer memory is scoring the game-winning goal versus Rogers. She’s a fan of pink Starbursts, the Divergent series, and Grey’s Anatomy. Her major at RCTC is Dental Hygiene. SERENA LEONARD is from South Saint Paul, MN where she played outside midfield for South Saint Paul High School. She was voted team MVP for the Woodbury Soccer Club (SALVO) teams that won the Minnesota Youth Soccer Association State Championship and finished second in consecutive years. She finished her club career with Minneapolis United, which finished in the top four at the Minnesota Youth State Championship twice. She is a fan of Kahlani, Draw Something, and homemade pot pie. Her major at RCTC is Nursing.
