MEET THE YELLOWJACKETS
Coach Pfeffer
HEAD COACH CLARK JONES is in his second season as RCTC baseball team head coach. Coach Jones’ career includes 13 years as the Head Baseball Coach at Elmhurst College (NCAA DIII) in Elmhurst, IL. During his time at Elmhurst, Coach Jones earned 272 wins was the CCIW Coach of the Year when his team won the CCIW Championship. He also served as the hitting coach for Ohio University during its MAC Championship season. Coach Jones is no stranger to RCTC as he served as an assistant coach for the Yellowjackets under former coach Steve Hucke from 2007-2011 and was the pitching coach on the 2011 World Series Team. He has coached two All-Americans, 23 All-Region, and 56 All-Conference Players. In addition he has coached three conference batting champions, four conference players of the year, and two major league draft picks. Coach Jones served as an associate scout for the New York Yankees, and the Arizona Diamondbacks. He is the owner of Playball Right, which provides private pitching and hitting lessons as well as a realtor for Team Clark at Exp Realty. ASSISTANT COACH DAVE ADAMS is entering his sixth season with RCTC as assistant coach. He works with RCTC’s hitters, outfielders, and first basemen. Coach Adams is from California and played for the legendary coach John Herbold at California State University – Los Angeles. He played in the San Diego Padres organization making it to Triple A. Coach Adams has spent the last 20 years playing amateur baseball in Minnesota (22 years with the Rochester Royals and one year with the Austin Greyhounds). He has coaching experience with the Rochester Royals. He lives in Byron, MN, with his wife, Alicia, and daughters, Danielle and MacKenzie. ASSISTANT COACH DOUG LEE has been coaching young people for 41 years. He is an assistant coach for the Yellowjackets. After retiring from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Coach Lee moved to Williams, AZ, where he taught high school mathematics and joined the football, baseball, and powerlifting coaching staffs. After retiring from teaching, Coach Lee moved to Minnesota to be with his grandchildren. ASSISTANT COACH BRAD PFEFFER is entering his first year as an assistant coach for the Yellowjackets—primarily as a pitching coach. Coach Pfeffer played one year for the Yellowjackets and was the number three starter on the mound for a team that was codivision champions and finished fourth in the regional tournament. He transferred to the University of St. Thomas, in MN, and pitched one year for the Tommies. He transitioned to a student athletic trainer for his remaining years at St. Thomas. He has coached for the Rochester A’s legion baseball team, worked various camps and clinics, and currently pitches for the Rochester Royals amateur baseball team during the summer. Coach Pfeffer currently works at the Rochester Athletic Club and recently accepted a position as a banker. He lives in Rochester, MN. Coach Lee moved to Minnesota to be with his grandchildren.

LUCAS ANDERSON is from Lewisville MN and attended St. James High School. He was on the “A” Honor Roll and National Honor Society. His family includes dad Mark, mom Jen, sisters Darcie, Megan, Katie, and Alyssa. His major is sports management. Lucas’s favorite movie is The Mighty Ducks, favorite sports teams are the Minnesota Vikings, Minnesota Twins, and Minnesota Wild. He came to RCTC to get his degree and continue playing baseball. DOMINIC BARGFREDE is from Alpha, MN and went to Jackson County Central High School. Dominic lettered in three sports. He was on the High Honor Roll and graduated with honors. His family includes his mom Heidi, dad Curt, stepmom Molly, brother Zachary, and sisters Cailyn and Claire. His major is carpentry. Dominc’s favorite movie is American Sniper, favorite sports teams are the Minnesota Twins, Minnesota Vikings, and Minnesota Gophers, and favorite foods are ribs and steak. He came to RCTC because the classes were good and to play baseball. NELSON BELL is from Altamica, Mechada Venezuela and went to LaSalle Envigado High School. His family members are his parents, Nelson and Aurelbin. His major is international business. Nelson’s favorite movie is The Secret, favorite food is french fries, and favorite game is 2.K NBA. A fun fact about Nelson is that he likes to eat toothpaste. He has two special talents--playing drums and not wearing a jacket in the winter. TRENTON DAHNERT is from Rochester, MN and attended Stewartville High School. His athletic honors include MVP. His academic honors include President’s List in college and the A-Honor Roll in high school. His family includes Tait, Keri, and Tessa Dahnert. He is undecided about a major, but is thinking about business. Trenton’s favorite movie is Saving Private Ryan, favorite food is ribeye steak, favorite game is baseball, and his favorite TV show is Breaking Bad. A fun fact about Trenton is that he was a gymnast. One of his special talents is eating two and a half pound burritos. He chose RCTC to stay close to home. ALEC DIETL is from Foley High School in Foley, MN. His athletic honors include All-Conference, All-Section teams, and the Joe Mauer Baseball Award. His academic honors are the “A” and “B” Honor Rolls. His team honors include most wins in Foley history and “Rookie of the Year”. His family includes mom Jessica, dad Ron, stepdad Wayne, and stepmom Jennifer. Siblings including stepsiblings Makayla, Amanda, Kaiya, Allison, Trinity, and Maxwell. His majors are sales and marketing and sports management. Alec’s favorite movie is Grown Ups, favorite sports team is the Minnesota Twins, and favorite food is pizza. He came to RCTC because it gave him the best opportunity for growth in education and baseball.

PAXTON GRAVLIN is from Truman, MN and went to Martin Luther High School. His athletic honors include All-Conference Honorable Mention, All-Conference First Team, and All-Section First Team. He was on the “A” and “B” Honor Rolls all four years, and All-Conference Academic all four years. Team honors are team captain junior and senior year. His family is mom Lisa, dad Scott, and brother Preston. His major is accounting. Paxton’s favorite movie is BASEketball, favorite sports teams are the Minnesota Vikings and Minnesota Twins, and favorite food is chicken alfredo. He came to RCTC to get his minor and play baseball. JOVANNI GONZALEZ is from Maplewood, MN and went to Johnson Senior High School. His family includes three brother and three sisters. His major is liberal arts. Jovanni’s favorite movies are the Fast and Furious series, favorite sports team is the Minnesota Vikings, and favorite food is steak. CADE ALAN HINKLE is from Pierre, SD where he attended T.F. Riggs High School. His athletic honor is two-time All-State Catcher. His team honor is the Bors Hard Worker Award. His major is carpentry. Cade’s favorite movie is Benchwarmers, favorite sports team is the New York Yankees, and favorite food is his mom’s tator tot casserole. His special talent is making people smile. He came to RCTC to get a start on baseball and not to give up on his dreams. DEVIN KNUDSON is from Kasson, MN where he attended KassonMantorville High School. His athletic honors include All-Conference Honorable Mention and two-time KM Pitcher of the Year. His academic honors include two-time Academic All-Conference. His team honor is two-time team Academic All-Conference. His family members include John and Donika (parents). His major is elementary education. Devin’s favorite movie is The Sandlot, favorite food is pineapple, favorite game is MLB the Show, and favorite TV show is Friends. COLLIN KRICK is from Dassel, MN, where he went to Dassel-Cokato High School. His athletic honor is All-Conference. His team honor is being captain. His family is Janel and Kaelan. His major is liberal arts. Collin’s favorite movie is Shrek, favorite sports teams are the Minnesota Twins and Minnesota Vikings, and favorite food is pizza. He chose RCTC for schooling and baseball. T PALMER MICKELSON attended Century High School in Rochester, MN. His honors include All-Conference, All-Section, and AllConference honorable mention. His team honor was Big 9 Champions. His family is dad Troy, mom Pam, and sister Frankie. His major is business. T Palmer’s favorite movie is American Sniper, favorite sports team is the Minnesota Twins, and favorite foods are steak and shrimp. He came to RCTC to play baseball and put Rochester on the map.
GRANT MISKIMINS is from Omaha, NE. He went to high school at Millard West. His family includes Debbie, Grey, and Kyle. He is majoring in business. Grant’s favorite movie is American Sniper, favorite food is pizza, favorite game is Call of Duty, and favorite TV show is Friends. Grant’s special talent is that he can touch his nose with his tongue. He came to RCTC because of his major and great coach and teammates. JOVAN MORRERO is from Guaynabo, Puerto Rico where he attended the Carlos Bertram Baseball Academy. His athletic honors include “Best Baseball Sense” and team honors, Gold Glove. His family includes his mom, dad, and little sister. His major is sports management. Jovan’s favorite movie is The Hangover. His favorite food is meat with rice and beans, favorite game is Call of Duty or MLB the Show, and favorite TV shows are Quick Pitch and Family Guy. Jovan’s special talent is that he can play all the sports. He chose RCTC to be a better person and to improve as a student and player. BRADY NELSON is from Hayfield, MN and attended Hayfield High School. His athletic honors are All-Section First Team (twice) AllState tournament Team, All-Conference (twice) and All-Herald Team (twice). His academic honors are the “A” Honor Roll and a 3.8 GPA his senior year. His family includes his mom, stepdad Larry, brothers Zach, Ben and Ryan, stepbrother Ethan, and stepsisters Allison and Abby. His major is accounting. Brady’s favorite movie is The Sandlot, favorite team is the Minnesota Twins, and favorite food is bacon cheeseburgers. Brady’s special talent is that he is good at quoting movies and TV shows. He came to RCTC because he wanted to be close to home while getting to play baseball with some guys that he already knew. He also liked the coaches and knew he could benefit from playing baseball with them. COLE OUTLAW is from Cypress, TX and went to Cypress Ranch High School. His family includes his mom, dad, and brother. His major is history. Cole’s favorite food is hamburgers and favorite TV show is Cowboy Bebop. A fun fact about Cole is that he comes from a long line of outlaws. His special talent is drawing. He came to RCTC because it was the best opportunity. CARLOS RAMIREZ is from Anaheim, CA and went to Anaheim High School. There he won Athletics’ Award, Principal’s Honor Roll, and Coaches’ Award. His family includes mom Marivel, dad Carlos, and sisters Carla and Marina. His major is engineering. Carlos’s favorite movie is The Benchwarmers, favorite team is the Los Angeles Dodgers, and favorite food is enchiladas. He came to RCTC to capitalize on the opportunity given to him to play baseball.

CHRISTIAN RIVERA is from Barranquitas, Puerto Rico. He went to high school at the Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy, where his team won a leadership award. His major is sports management. Christian’s favorite movie is The Legend, favorite food is rice and beans with meat, favorite game is MLB The Show, and favorite TV show is Ridiculousness. A fun fact about Christian is that he can make others laugh. His special talent is utility player. He chose RCTC to improve his study skills and play baseball to transfer to a university. RYAN ROBY is from Farmington, MN where he went to Farmington High School. He lettered in weightlifting and baseball. His team named him “Hardest Worker”. His family includes his parents Chris and Al, brother Kyle, and dog Lucy. His major is general education. Ryan’s favorite movie is Step Brothers, favorite sports team is the Minnesota Twins, and favorite food is Raising Canes. Ryan’s special talent is that he can do a 180* on a scooter. SHOTA SAWAMURA is from Tokyo, Japan. He went to high school at Nihon Bunri. His athletic honors are National Player of Japan (U-12, U-15) and MVP (U-12). His team honor is Third World Cup U-12. His family includes his parents, his younger brother, and sister. His major is coaching. Shota’s favorite movie is Mechanic, favorite food is sushi, favorite game is FIFA, and favorite TV show is Prison Break. He came to RCTC to be a pro and Coach Jones. BLAKE SCHILLING is from Altura, MN and attended Lewiston High School. His athletic honors are three-time All-Conference. His academic honors include 2020 Outstanding Student Athlete, two-time Academic All-Conference. His team honors are three-time “King of the Hill”, Offensive MVP (2019), Team MVP (2019). His family includes Neal and Jodi (parents) and Brooke and Blair (siblings). He is currently in the facility and service technology program. Blake's favorite movie is Norbit, favorite team is the Minnesota Twins, favorite food is venison back straps. He chose RCTC because he liked the idea of a smaller school. ANDREW SIMMONS is from Stewartville, MN and went to Stewartville High School. He won All-Conference three years. He received “Team Pitcher of the Year” for three years and “Team MVP”. His family includes Dan, Teri, and Aaron. His major is elementary education. Andrew’s favorite movie is A Quiet Place, favorite sports team is the Green Bay Packers, and favorite food is the breadsticks at Fazolis. GABRIEL SEPULVEDA is from Conroe High School in Conroe, TX. His athletic honors include Top 500 in the Nation for a Perfect Game, Top 7 Third Baseman in Texas for class of 2020. His family is Peggy, Jimmy, Jacob, and Brody. His major is engineering. Gabriel’s favorite movie is Benchwarmers, favorite sport is baseball, and favorite food is hot dogs. He came to RCTC to get drafted and play in the pros. STEVEN SHALLCROSS is from Washington, PA and went to Washingtom High School. His athletic honors include three-time varsity letter in baseball. His athletic honors include National Honor Society and four-year High Honor student. His team honor is team captain. His family includes parents Bryan and Amy, sister Jenna, twin brother Nathan, and brother Michael. His major is nursing. Steven’s favorite movie is Miracle, favorite team is the Pittsburgh Penguins, and favorite food is pizza. He chose RCTC because of the reputation for an excellent nursing program and the opportunity to continue my baseball career at the collegiate level. IZAAK STEVENS is from Plainview, MN and went to PEM High School. He won the Honorable Mention Award, four academic letters and Academic All-Conference. His team awarded him the Bulldog of the Year Award. His family includes Mike, Tonia, Luke, and Agron. His major is accounting and business management. Izaak’s favorite movie is Major League, favorite sports team is the Minnesota Twins, and favorite food is Mexican. Izaak’s special talent is that he can solve the Rubik’s cube. He came to RCTC to become the best player he can be. LANDON STOPPELMOOR is from Fountain City, WI and attended Cochrane-Fountain City High School. His athletic awards include All-Conference First Team, All-Conference Pitcher Second Team, and Senior Athlete Award. His academic honors include President’s List and All-Academic Team MCAC. His team honors are team captains for baseball and football, Legion baseball, and Burslworth Award. His family is Steve and Tami (parents) and Kaleb and Nathan (brothers). His major is marketing. Landon’s favorite movie is Everybody Wants Some!!, favorite team is the Minnesota Loons, and favorite food is smoked turkey. Landon’s special talents include singing and juggling. He came to RCTC because it gave him the most opportunities to take his academic and athletic abilities to the next level. DREW YOCHIM is from John Marshall High School in Rochester, MN.
