BASEBALL FANS... Welcome to Yellowjacket Baseball! As RCTC’s President, I am eager to see what this season holds for our student-athletes, both on and off the field. RCTC has a reputation for striving to maintain an outstanding athletic program, including setting examples of good sportsmanship, and providing personal growth opportunities for our student-athletes through both academic performance and team experiences. This is accomplished by living our values of being learner-centered, valuing excellence, respect, teamwork, innovation, and, along the way, having a little fun. In addition to our athletic programs, our student-athletes may choose from a variety of other student life activities to assist them in developing their leadership and other life skills. MEET THE YELLOWJACKETS

Coach McClintock

HEAD COACH CLARK JONES started as the Head Coach for the RCTC baseball team in 2019. Coach Jones’ career includes 13 years as the Head Baseball Coach at Elmhurst College (NCAA DIII) in Elmhurst, IL. During his time at Elmhurst, Coach Jones earned 272 wins was the CCIW Coach of the Year in 1997 when his team won the CCIW Championship Coach Jones also served as the hitting coach for Ohio University during their MAC Championship season (1991). Coach Jones served as an assistant coach for the Yellowjackets under former Coach Steve Hucke from 2007-2011 and was the Pitching Coach on the 2011 World Series Team. He has coached two All-Americans, 23 All-Region, and 56 All-Conference Players. In addition, he has coached three conference batting champions, four conference players of the year, and two major league draft picks. Coach Jones served as an associate scout for the New York Yankees in 1991-92, and the Arizona Diamondbacks from 20062010. He is the owner of Playball Right, which provides pitching and hitting instruction to the areas youth. ASSISTANT COACH DAVE ADAMS is entering his sixth season as an assistant coach with RCTC. He works with RCTC’s hitters, outfielders, and first basemen. Coach Adams is originally from California and played for legendary coach, John Herbold, at California State University – Los Angeles. He played in the San Diego Padres organization making it to Triple A. Coach Adams has spent the last 20 years playing amateur baseball in Minnesota (22 with the Rochester Royals and one year with the Austin Greyhounds). He has coached the Rochester Royals. He lives in Byron, MN, with his wife Alicia and daughters Danielle and MacKenzie. ASSISTANT COACH DOUG LEE has been coaching for 41 years. After retiring from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department in 1980, Coach Lee moved to Williams, Arizona, where he taught high school mathematics and joined the football, baseball, and powerlifting coaching staffs. After retiring from teaching, Coach Lee moved to Minnesota to be with his grandchildren. He coached them through both baseball and football in the Rochester, Minnesota youth sports programs. In addition, Coach Lee coached football at RCTC for three years under Chuck Siefert and Tom Hosier. Coach Lee has been part of the Pine Island High School Softball coaching staff for the last five years. During that time, he has coached summer, winter, and regular seasons. ASSISTANT COACH BO McCLINTOCK starts his first season with the Yellowjackets as an assistant coach. Couch McClintock is from Beavercreek, Oregon. He attended Lakeridge High School in Lake Oswego, Oregon and played college baseball at Point University in West Point, Georgia. He went on to play professional baseball for the Boise Hawks in the MLB affiliate Pioneer League.

#yellowjacketstrong BLAKE SCHILLING is a sophomore from Altura and attended Lewiston-Altura High School. His honors include three-time Academic All-Conference in high school, Academic All-Conference in college, Outstanding Student Athlete Award (high school), two-time AllConference, two-time Team MVP, two-time voted King of the Hill, and Offensive MVP in high school. His family includes Neal, Jodi, Brooke, Blair, and Izzy. Currently, he is undecided on a major. His favorite bedtime story as a kid was, Counting Sheep. If given the opportunity of the ability of flight or invisibility, he’d take flight. When asked to choose telekinesis or telepathy, he picked telepathy. Blake catches and sells pigeons with his friends. JOVAN MARRERO is a sophomore from The Carlos Beltrán Baseball Academy where he was awarded “Best Baseball Sense” and his team won “Gold Glove”. He has four family members and is majoring in Sports Management. “I don't have a ritual before a game; I just like to shower in the morning, have a good breakfast, and listen to music to focus and relax.” If given the opportunity of the ability of flight or invisibility, he’d take flight. When asked to choose telekinesis or telepathy, he picked telepathy. Jovan loves horses! CARLOS RAMIREZ is a sophomore from Anaheim, California, graduating from Anaheim High School. His family is Marivel Bermudez, Carlos Ramirez, Carla Ramirez, and Marina Ramirez. He is majoring is Broad Engineering. I Love You to The Moon and Back was his favorite bedtime story as a kid. “I eat something before the game. When I get to the field, I like to keep to myself, and get myself into the mindset of pitching. I visualize my outing and picture myself succeeding to get me ready to go out and compete.” If given the opportunity of the ability of flight or invisibility, he’d take invisibility. CHRISTIAN RIVERA is a freshman from Barranquitas, Puerto Rico and attended The Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy, where his team won a leadership award. His major is Sports Management. His favorite movie is The Legend. His favorite food is rice and beans with meat. His favorite game is MLB: The Show. His favorite TV show is Ridiculousness. Christian can make others laugh. LANDON STOPPELMOOOR is a sophomore from Cochrane Fountain City High School. His academic honors include President’s List. His family is Steve, Tami, Kaleb and Nathan. His major is Business Transfer Pathway. His favorite bedtime story as a kid was My Dad’s Jokes. His game day ritual is going to Kwik Trip for breakfast. JERRY SANTIAGO is a freshman from Coamo, Puerto Rico and attended José Felipe Zayas High School. His athletic honors are allstar game of the Connie Mack league. His team honors are Connie Mack League Final Four. His family is Jerry, Yamilka, and sisters Keiry and Valerie. He is studying liberal arts. His game day ritual is to listen to music. When asked if he would rather have the ability of flight or invisibility, he picked invisibility. He would also rather have telepathy over telekinesis. Jerry can play various sports. KLAYTON HAWKINS is a freshman from Kellogg, Minnesota where he graduated from Wabasha-Kellogg Public School District 811. He was awarded Academic All-Conference. His major is Liberal Arts. When he was a kid, his favorite bedtime story Was Going on a Bear Hunt. His game day ritual includes drinking a red Monster before every game. IZAAK STEVENS is a sophomore from Plainview, Minnesota. His honors are Academic All-Conference, Athletic Honorable Mention and team honors are Conference champs two-times. His family members are Mike, Tonia, Luke, and Aeron. His major is Business Management. Instead of a bedtime story, he listened to his dad tell him his old basketball stories. BRADY NELSON is a sophomore from Byron, Minnesota and graduated from Hayfield High School. His academic honors include A Honor Roll and Academic All-Conference in high school. In college, he earned a 4.0 GPA and a spot on the Presidents List. Athletic honors are High School- two-time All-Conference, two-time All Herald, threetime All State Tournament Team, three-time varsity letter winter, and Team Captain in high school. His family is Holli, Larry, Zach, Ben, Ryan, Ethan, Allison, and Abby. His major is Accounting. His game day ritual is drinking a Red Bull before every game. He’d rather have the ability of flight over invisibility and telekinesis over telepathy. Brady can quote many TV shows and movies! NELSON FRANQUIZ is a freshman from Altamica, Mechada, Venezuela and went to LaSalle Envigado High School. His family members are Nelson and Aurelbin. His major is International Business. His favorite movie is The Secret. His favorite food is french fries. His favorite game is 2.K NBA. Nelson likes to eat toothpaste. Nelson can play drums and chooses to not wear a jacket in the winter.

LOGAN VOGEL is a freshman from Goodhue, Minnesota. His athletic honors are HVL All-Conference, Post-Bulletin All-Area Honorable Mention. His team honors are MVP and four-time letter winner. His family is Dave, Jen, and Shelby. His major is Engineering. His favorite bedtime stories as a kid were the Little Critters books. He would also rather have telekinesis over telepathy. Logan is left-handed! CHRISTIAN BRUNO is a freshman from the Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy. A fun fact about Bruno is that he is an avid surfer. He came to RCTC because he heard good things from former teammates about both the school and the baseball program. If he had to choose a superpower he would choose invisibility over the ability to fly. CHRIS CARTWRIGHT is a freshman coming to us from Aurora, Illinois. He graduated from Aurora Central Catholic High School where he was Athlete of the Year and named to the Midwest All-Star Team. Chris’ family includes Thomas and Kelly. His major is Sports Management. Chris’ favorite bedtime story as a kid was Humpty Dumpty. His game day ritual is eye black and pray. If given the opportunity of the ability of flight or invisibility, he’d take flight. His long-term goal is to become a professional baseball player and he hopes to develop his talent at RCTC. GABRIEL SEPULVEDA is a sophomore from Conroe, Texas, where he attended Conroe High School. COLE HEIN is a freshman from Rochester, Minnesota where he attended Century High School. His family is Jeff and Shelly. He is studying liberal arts. GUSTAVO GONZALEZ is a freshman from Sarasota, Florida where he attended Riverview High School. His game day ritual is drawing his grandparents’ initials before taking the field. YANSEPH LLANOS TORRES is a freshman from The Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy. He has five family members. His major is Sports Management. WILL PACHECO is a freshman from Riverview High School in Sarasota, FL. He is majoring in computer science and received honors in marine science in high school. Will’s special talent is that he is “very fast” and he chose RCTC because of the quality baseball program. ANDREW SIMMONS is a sophomore from Stewartville, Minnesota and graduated from Stewartville High School. His athletic honors were three-time All-Conference, two-time Pitcher of the Year, Team MVP, ERA and strikeouts in a season school record his senior year. His family includes Dan, Teri, and Aaron. His major is Elementary Education. Goodnight Moon was his favorite bedtime story as a kid. His game day ritual is “he’s gotta have a dew!” If given the opportunity of the ability of flight or invisibility, he’d take flight. His major is Sports Management. When asked what his favorite bedtime story was as a kid he said, “Beetle Bailey. I never had a story, but this was my favorite show to watch before bed.” When asked about his game day ritual he replied, “I make sure I have everything ready to go and that I’m hydrated. Then I just mentally get ready, and I will usually look at a team’s stat sheets and get an understanding of their players and what they have done.” If given the opportunity of the ability of flight or invisibility, he’d take invisibility. His game day ritual is coffee on the way to field, show up hour early to locker room, meet with trainer, and drink a Bang energy drink before he warms up. BROCK MARTINEZ is a freshman from Plainview, Minnesota and attended from P-E-M High School. His athletic honors in high school were All-Conference and team honor was Defensive MVP. His family is Lee Martinez and Anne Mandarino. His major is Sports Management. His favorite bedtime story as a kid was No More Monkeys Jumping on the Bed. Then either telekinesis or telepathy, he said telekinesis. OWEN HILKE is a freshman from Wanamingo, Minnesota. His team honor is all-team. His family members are Blake and Peyton Hilke. RASHEED JENKINS is a freshman from Webster County High School in Kentucky. His academic honor is Honor Graduate--ranked 6th in his class. His athletic honors are Defensive Player of the Year, 1st Team All-Region, Offensive Player of the Year, and Honorable Mention. His family members are Tiffany Gaines and Sarah Crimes. RaSheed’s major is Sports Management. His game day ritual is taking one hour of time alone to look back on his life and ask himself “what’s my purpose?” If given the opportunity of the ability of flight or invisibility, he’d take invisibility. When asked to choose telekinesis or telepathy, he picked telepathy. RaSheed is from the South so he talks fast, and he can play the drums! ZEBASTIAN BOLDUC is a freshman from East Bay High School. He is majoring in Liberal Arts and Sciences, a little known fact is that he can do a backflip. Zebastian’s game day ritual is to think about close friends and family that have passed and remember them. RCTC was the best choice for him of all the schools he looked at. SEAN CONNOLLY is a freshman from Brighton High School in Brighton, CO. He is the son of Eileen and John Connolly. Sean was a first team all-conference player in high school and chose RCTC to be a part of something special and lead the Yellowjackets to a title. A fun fact is that he has caught for seven professional pitchers, two of whom are in the major leagues. ALEC DIETL is a sophomore from Foley, Minnesota. His family includes Ron, Jessica, Wayne, Jennifer, Makayla, Amanda, Allison, and Kaiya, Trinity, Max and Zack. Business Management is his major. His favorite bedtime story as a kid was Corduroy.
