Football Pitch Seating Proposal for positioning of benches

Mossley Park Football Pitch timber benches Proposed positions

Seven benches have been created (see attached images):

Short bench Step bench Long bench Y bench Lounger Bridge bench S bench

A number of pieces of timber have been cut for use as ‘causeway’ type seating.

The proposed position for the benches is shown on the attached plan and image:

• S-­‐bench on flat area at ‘entrance side’ • Short bench on lower bank

Benches set into high banking to be accessed from flat area above bank:

• Long bench -­‐ 4 seater • Lounger • Bridge bench

Benches at east end of pitch on flat area at least 2.5m from touch line:

• y-­‐bench • step bench

Causeway style and individual stumps to be set into bank as reqd.

Notes:

The position of the benches is to be agreed with and confirmed by the Friends Of Mossley Park Group by 16th Sept 2011.

As commissioners of the works and managers of the park the Friends Of Mossley Park Group are to assume responsibility for the suitability of location of the benches as regards public access, usage and safety.

The main installation of the benches is scheduled for 20th Sept 2011 with plant on site that day.

The benches will be moved into position by Eagle landscaping under the supervision of Richard Dawson.

The positioning and installation of the benches to be confirmed with and monitored

by Paul Williams from TMBC.

The benches will be treated with preservative prior to installation and ongoing as necessary by Richard Dawson.
