The Bahamas are located in North America but I’m here to talk about the fashion not the geography. People in the Bahamas wear the same style clothes as American’s and Europeans. Junkanoo is a holiday in which Bahamians wear elaborate costumes. The Mall in marathon is located in Nassau, which seaport on New Providence Island. It is also the capitol of the Bahamas. I hope in this presentation not only the traditional costumes and the special occasion clothing that Bahamians wear, but also the everyday clothing of the people that live in the Bahamas.

Bahamians wear clothes inspired by Europe and American fashion trends. The children and adults wear a lot of same trends such as jeans, t-shirts, polo shirts, tennis shoes, skirts, khaki pants, shorts, tank-tops, flip-flops, and more. Although the children in the Bahamas wear a lot of the same trends as us during the school day they have to wear uniforms the girls wear dress skirts and blouses ,and the boys wear slacks (dress pants), a dress shirt, and a tie (the colors vary by school). Like Americans Bahamians wear

fancy clothes to special occasions, for example to weddings men and boys wear tuxedos or dress pants, and girl and women of dresses or a fancy pant outfit (such as cocktail dresses, and wedding dresses). another thing that makes American fashion similar to Bahamian fashion is the policemen(and women)wear the same type of uniform as our policemen (women) wear except for their police men (and women) wear the same hats as the Buckingham palace guards wear. What’s your favorite outfit? Maybe someone in the Bahamas is wearing the same outfit.

Junkanoo is a festival celebrated in the Bahamas. Bahamians wear very elaborate costumes to this festival. Glitter, stones, studs, and decorative beads are some of the things they use to decorate their costumes. In the earlier days slave used anything they could get their hands on to make their costumes such as shrubs, leaves, stones bottles and paper. they used to make their costumes out of cardboard, they used to draw that costume design on the cardboard then they would cut it

out and last thy would add the details ,and finishing touches and bam you have a Junkanoo costume? Now they used to make the costumes out of cardboard now they make them out of Styrofoam it's much stronger and more durable. Junkanoo is a holiday celebrated in the Bahamas what holiday in America do you think Junkanoo is most like? http://0.tqn.com/d/studenttravel/1/0/j/1/junkanoo.jpg

Enonjahs of Nassau, J-Z tees, urban nations, Bonneville. This mall is the largest mall in the Bahamas located in Nassau which is the capitol of the Bahamas. What’s you favorite store?
