Tourism Ireland is known for its rolling green and beautiful country sides. Huge castles overlook rivers, lakes, and lush vegetation. Tourists use grand and royal canals for sight seeing. Dublin, Ireland is also manufacturing and business capitol in the nation! Next we’ll take you to the dwarf Ballynahinch castle and some crazy superstitions.
Tourism The Dwarf ballynahinch castle is one of the most special castles in Ireland, this castle overlooks huge rivers. Ireland is not just known for its beautiful scenery, it is also known for superstitions. Did you know that it is bad luck to knit at night until you were sure the sheep were asleep. You can tame a young wild horse, by whispering the creed into its left ear on Wednesday. Ireland is also known for its great festivals.
Tourism The st. Patrick’s Day festivities start a week before March 17th in Dublin Ireland, this is a very big festival in Ireland. You can’t miss this event it’s the Galway arts festival this festival includes dance, visual arts, and many performers in Galway City in the west of Ireland. The cycling tour of Ireland will definitely get you exhausted, as this tour takes you all over Ireland.

If you’re a tourist, and you don’t like rain, Ireland may not be the place for you. Ireland’s climate is usually wet and mild. The temperature averages around 40-50 degrees feirenheight the whole year. In ancient times Irish people built stone monuments that served as houses. These buildings consisted of three large stone blocks. By about 250 B.C groups of Celtic people arrived in Ireland. While on a tour why not try some great sports.
Sports In Ireland Gaelic football is really popular .Its like soccer, but they call it football. It’s really weird, but it’s really fun. So if you’re bored go find some friends and play some football.
Sports If you get bored you can go play hurling. Hurling is like hockey, but the ball is in the air the whole time. It looks really hard, but is so fun!
Sports When you get bored from that you go play Road Bowling. It sounds weird and looks illegal, but it’s not and involves throwing a ball across the road.
Sports Horse racing is very popular there. People from all over the world can go there and attend it. Grey hound racing is pretty popular. It’s similar to horseracing, but with a greyhound.
Sports Boxing is a really popular sport in Ireland. Irish boxers are really rough. They have big tournaments. Baseball is not that popular, but is gaining interest.
Sports Surfing is pretty popular. They have tournaments. Track is a popular sport and all ages can do it. They have tournaments and contestants can win lots of medals.
Farming Ireland is known as 40 shades of green. The eight million sheep and seven million cows eat on that green. Land uses permanent crops at 0.03%, unusable land at 16.82% and other at 83.15%.
Farming In 1845 the Irish potato crop failed. This killed more than a million people. Children helped their families dig in hope of finding food.
Farming Plunkett Sir Horace was a pioneer during the cooperative farming movement in Ireland. In 1894 Plunkett founded the Irish Agricultural Organization Society.
Farming Sheep have more important products than cattle. There livestock industry represents 80% of their agriculture. Farmers should ownership and status of livestock by dying animals with different dye colors.
Food There are a lot of foods the Irish eat, but a lot of the fruits they eat are apples, cherries, plums, and goose berries. In a lot of there dishes the Irish have fish, meat, or vegetables. Also the Irish have different kinds of meat such as cod, herring, and mutton.
Food The main crop that the Irish grow is potatoes. In Ireland potatoes are called spuds. Ireland eats two times the amount Americans eat.
Food In the types of food they eat, there clover designs and the Irish have no traditions that we don’t have. The sheep that they raise they get fur from, but also meat.
Food Just a couple more things, they eat scones, biscuits, and brackets. One last thing, for breakfast they eat soda bread.
