Italy’s fashion Did you know that five thousand years ago in China, the art of making silk was such a jealously guarded secret, that if anyone was caught telling outsiders about it would get their head cut off? Have you ever wondered about how people dressed in Italy? Well now is your chance. Leather, silk and wool were a major part of Italy’s fashion making. Fashion shows and things are good for business for Italy. All over the world, people come to Italy to see different designs and designers. In all, Italy has many different fabrics, business, and designers.
Leather, silk, and wool were a major part of Italy’s fashion making. Silk was first produced in Italy in the twelfth century. In the past, leather was used for only a few things, horses’ harnesses and scabbards for swords; today it is not only used for shoes, bags, belts, but also coats, luggage, briefcases, desks, accessories, and even hats. Since the middle ages, leather has been used by Italy’s
craftsmen to create objects of rare excellence. Workers weave, dye, card, design, and knit wool in all its forms and mix it with other fibers.
Fashion shows and things are great for business for Italian fashion. Journalists and buyers from all over the world travel to Milan many different times a year to go to specialized fashion shows. Fashion is a big business in Italy where famous designers such as Valentino and Armani thrive. The basis of the fashion world is made up of many small businesses that make clothing and accessories and can acclimate quickly to fashions latest trends.
All over the world people come to Italy to see different designs and designers. Milan is Italy’s capital city of design. Though most clothing worn for
everyday wear falls within a narrow range of conventional styles, unusual garments are usually sought for special occasions such as evening wear or party dresses. Some of the top fashion designers are Domenico Dolce, Stefano Gabbana, Gorgio Armani, Miyccia Prada, Valentino, Gianni, and Donatella Versace. Italy’s top designer brands are looking to China for salvation this year with revenues falling due to dept crisis that has cast an air of gloom as Milan fashion week kicks off. Valentino

Italians celebrate Easter quite different than us. They have a large mass service in St. Peters Square in the Vatican City. They celebrated Easter for 3 days. Well here’s 1 important festival St. Josephs Day, this day is to celebrate or honor Mary the mother of Jesus. At this festival they create bread altars and at the end of the day after a big feast they take home a part of the bread altars for good luck.
